A floor jack is a lifesaver if you have to pull a wheel or do any work under your vehicle. An air compressor and some air tools, or battery-powered ratchet or impact gun works quite nicely to get those long-winded bolts out. The yellow 3M weatherstrip adhesive from way back when was the go-to stuff at the time, AKA gorilla snot. Stout skid plate too! Great video content!
Greetings Mark, yes loving the floor "Jack" and I do have a small compressor. Since I have cut the cord with many of my hand tools and using batteries, I might look into the DeWalt impact gun, they have some options.
How long did you have to wait for it to be delivered to you? I am interested in both the transmission and the sump protection Chief plates, btw. You did an excellent job, informative video. Thanks and kudos.
Yes, I had that problem. I ended adding rubber spacers on the transfer case skid plate bolts to drop it slightly and added a thin rubber pad between the Chief plate and transfer plate where there was a rub point. 15,000 miles later no issues.
200 bucks for a piece of metal and some bolts… I’ll make my own. Did my own sliders, might as well keep the trend going. These aftermarket companies are ridiculous.

Hi Evan, when I ordered the transmission skid plate it was in stock, so I'm thinking it was less than a week. Good luck!
Robert Schwemmer thank you! I keep my fingers crossed.
Anyone have a pop noise that develops after awhile? After a few thousand miles I have to tighten the trans skid again.

Did you solve this? I am getting similar noise after my install.
any trouble getting anything hung up on the lip between the stock trans plate and the chief plate?
