Dude you explained and showed the steps perfect. You explanations at the right time was BRILLIANT tahnk you wishing you all the best with this channel. THANK YOU
Thanks for the video. It definitely helped me understand what happened with my Grand Cherokee. A service place "topped off my coolant with the wrong stuff. Luckily, because I check my fluids regularly, I caught it in time. 😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
That coolant is notorious for sludging. I would do a complete coolant flush and run clean distilled water until you see clear water coming out before filling it up with the coolant and bleed your system properly.
This video was very helpful. I've never done a radiator flush before. Doing my first one now. So far so good. I followed your instructions exactly. That funnel set is very helpful. Thank you!
@AliMECH So, today after I did the flush and drove the Jeep, the Jeep is kind of running rough. I thought it was because I may have overfilled the reservoir but the reservoir shows that it's about half between Max and minimum full, also check the oil to make sure there was no milking Us in the oil so no water is making it into the motor. Do you have any idea why the motor may be running a little rough when it wasn't doing that before I flushed the system?
I now know the fluid flush was just the beginning of my troubles. My Jeep has a blown head gasket and water from the cooling system is getting into the motor.
It is tricky issue to all Jeep owners, until I get to know that purple coolant will not stay in purple colour over the time instead will change to something like red or pink colour due to engine heat
GM had the same problem when they first released their Dex-Cool anti-freeze. People would top off or service the cooling system using the green coolant that's been around forever and a day and the cooling system would turn into a mud bog and clog the system up. Solution: only add the same color of coolant that the car came with when new. Problem: Untrained (or cheap) people perform services or repairs thinking all coolants are the same.
Good job.. i have 2 questions 1/ did you drain all the water either that in engine? 2/ did you mix your coolant water with water 50/50 because I read it’s concentrate?
@@AliMECHI'm still unclear as what you mean when you say you let all the water drain out. I know you drained all the water out from the radiator, but isn't there water still in the engine block and heater core? You used concentrate not 50/50 mix coolant, so how did you make sure you have the correct 50/50 mix?
I see this is a problem no matter where in the world you live. I work for Deere and they only use Cool-Gard II which is a Ethylene Glycol 60-40 mix in all their equipment which is green in color and is a IAT Inorganic type. But we do have 4 different hydraulic fluids and each is machine type specific. So nothing is ever easy...:)
I have the same colour sludge as the video did. But I've done many flushes and colour is still brown... Also, unlike the video the staining in the coolant resevior hasn't changed, not even after chemical flush. I can't understand why
That sludge or gel, or what ever it is, is the nightmare. Exacly today, i removed and cleaned coolant tank from corsa c with a lot of powder detergent, sand and hot water. After that i disconected hoses for radiator, heater core and engine block, so i flushed every part separately by putting garden hose into car hoses making sure the water pressure is not that high. I spent about 6 hours today but i think it paid off very well.

Great to hear! Thanks for watching
Not sure if this antifreeze is bad, I only used OAT. My water pump failed and it went bad in less than 50k miles (muddy)

Great video my friend keep it up
Thank you 👍
Where to I buy the funnel kit
I got mine on Amazon. I tried to send you a link. But I guess it was blocked. I did mine tonight. It went very well.

I have a 2016 and it says that it uses OAT but it is orange liquid, HOAT is used by older models
I had the same concerning but if you watch the video when it shows the liquid it doesn't look purple at (0:36)

Been telling people they need to do a flush every 50k miles. Coolant goes bad a lot sooner than people think
Actually with hoat or oat coolant, they are long live coolant, they go bad if it's been mixed with water or other coolants
@@AliMECH that’s interesting ! Good to know !
Thanks for watching 🙏
That is true, mine had only OAT and it's muddy less than 50k miles. Now my water pump failed
It used to not be this bad
Great video and work. Jeep are known for that problem
Mixing coolant types?
That sounds like operator error, not a Jeep problem
Thanks for watching, yes it will only happens with mixing these coolant and it includes jeep cars
So in your last step you put fresh concentrated OAT back in. How did you know you have the right 50/50 mix?
The sludge material is likely from stop leak tablets that are dropped into the reservoir at the factory.
Excellent work, I guess ravenol cleaner did it's job 😮😊
Thanks Hamza, yes it was working great 👌
Hello ! Very helpfull video, I just have one question.
For the first flush, should the engine be hot or not ?
Thanks
Yes it has to reach operating temperature to open the valve and let the water circulate
Is the coolant 50/50?
you're the best thank you so much!
Glad it helped!
So if i don't have compressed air,Do i have to open drain and remove lower radiator everytime i flush?
Yes, that way it will make sure all the water drained
I used my air compressor and blew the head gasket
How much water did you use?
Good job.. i have 2 questions
1/ did you drain all the water either that in engine?
2/ did you mix your coolant water with water 50/50 because I read it’s concentrate?
Yes I drain all the water and even used compressed air to make sure all the water came out, and no, I didn't mix, it comes like this
It will indicate on the jug: 50/50 ready to use or Concentrate add distilled water 50%

Salut. La mine la un Ford focus MK2 diesel îmi scade de la 90 ° la 50° acul temperaturii🤔 antigelul este curat
What is the coolant type you use for flushing and how many gallons you used ???
It was water
According to the owner's manual, it is not recommended to use radiator flushes and cleaners. My car Durango 21 and I have same the issue
My 2018 said oat coolant water
Is it fine use hoat after draining old water?
You can use any, but don't mix them together
Can I remove the air bubbles without using a funnel?
Sure
Please help me with mines it’s exactly like that 😢
Just change the coolant and don't mix coolant again, just follow the video and let me know if you need something 🙏

After you did the coolant flush did the sludge come back
No, it will only comes back if the flush not complete or you add tap water or different antifreeze
I have the same colour sludge as the video did. But I've done many flushes and colour is still brown... Also, unlike the video the staining in the coolant resevior hasn't changed, not even after chemical flush. I can't understand why

PS
The water now is still clean after first 20-30 kms
Nice work
Thanks for the visit
