Bloody hell 🤯 I never knew this! you always thought don’t red line it. I use a few Analog vst but on return so that’s ok to control to -18. but will use this on my next track i make! Thanks 🎉
@@erbndubmate big ups you. I can’t wait for another treat of a video from you at this dbs institute. We don’t get this knowledge shared much down here in NZ
Hey! Thanks for watching! You can find the separate parts of this guest lecture in the playlist below. The full, unedited lecture is currently being kept exclusively for our students but we may publish a longer portion of this class in the future :) ruclips.net/p/PLjmFeiu_EL7OVPO6GZV5a1A9q-mQYsczu
@dBsInstitute thanks! I really enjoy the classes from erb. I dont do anything with the knowledge he shares but I find it so much fun learning how it's being made.
If you over clip yes. But you aren’t trying to square everything off. Really it’s the transients that are clipped allowing for the individual sounds to be brought up to level. Same with the master too
Erb what processing did you do on those Kix at start of this tutorial before you showed the group about adding transients with the clipper? They was quite a decent um set of stereo kicks to begin with... the waveform was full and it had sustain and decay a lil bit like an 808 as opposed to a natural sampled 22 inch kick drum.... um... is there something that you did to them to get em that full to begin with ? Peas. ✌️

Doesn’t clipping everything take away all the dynamics tho?
