WoD had such fantastic.... essence. The music, the art direction, the ambience, and all of the intangibles that leave an emotional impression on you, the essence of memory. It’s music always stood out to me; it was just so unique and alien, beautiful and surreal. The collaboration with Eimar Noone definitely helped add a very otherworldly vibe, but the staff composers definitely went above and beyond in giving Draenor’s sound a distinct feel. While each zone has their specialty - Arak suspense and shadow, Gorgrond power and vibrancy, Frostfire magnificence and desolation, Shadowmoon peace and serenity, Talador poise and elegance, Tanaan fear and corruption - Nagrand has always been my favorite. It’s mountain tracks mix grandiosity with sublime tranquility. My favorite is 18:45 There is a deep sadness in the haunting vocals and melancholic flutes, like a breeze carrying the smell of burning incense and dry grass, warm on the skin as it flows through ancient burial grounds overgrown with new life - and yet there’s also a profound sense of... the words escape me, but the closest I can get is “deep timeless truth”. Perhaps an elder reflecting on those buried there, thinking back to better days as they feel a familiar breeze tugging at their clothes, and wondering why it is the nature of things to change. I don’t know. The music in WoD’s Nagrand (and Outland’s before it) has always captured my imagination and brought me a sense of peaceful inspiration. Thanks for mixing this - I’ve been following you for years and I remember wondering way back when you made the Talador video if you were ever going to make one for Nagrand. I’m glad you did!
Beautifully written, bravo! Good music evokes powerful emotions and the composers have definitely succeeded in doing so here, as did you in writing a beautiful description of it, as well.
I decided to end my WoW-career 11 years ago. However, it’s kinda relaxing to enjoy those videos to reactivate my memories. Good memories full of joyful gaming time. I’m glad that I’ve never returned, but one must confess that this game has a different kind of impact on you.
i started playing in wotlk but the moment i step foot through the dark portal into outland i was amazed... mesmerized! it has always stayed my favorite place to level, everything else might be a boring chore but outland.. is a different feeling for me. i was so excited to reexperience everything in draenor again
My favorite zone in BC and one of my top 3 in general, one of which is Grizzly Hills. But this was the only zone I would go back to time after time in future expacs just to enjoy the scenery and music, I'd park my flying mount on one of the floating islands and chill for a while, I even brought a girl there as a date a couple of times. Thanks for the upload. I miss this game.
Great upload, thanks! You do amazing work! It’s a shame that Blizz abandoned WoD. Such amazing zones and questing, could have been a great experience. Dungeons would have been great for M+, a dynamic world quest content like legion invasions or BFA incursions, not skipping the rumored Shattrath raid, better variety of enemies (I think we all got Orc fatigue). So many missed opportunities.
I loved the zones and questing. Stopped raiding at after Blackrock but still would do world dailies and level alts. Max level stuff was a bit underwhelming.
Something to point out, the tracks titled "Nagrand" by Neal Acree actually never play in the zone, they only play in the mushroom and sea areas around Draenor.
I loved pvping in this zone, it was first time to feel nostalgia of this game, I started in tbc and I always liked world pvping. But stv is still the best zone in wow, I remember logging in morning summer time (no school) and ganking lowbies and vs 70s until end of day, was really fun, but after stv my favourite would be both tbc and dreanor Nagrand!!
I love to read A Song of Ice and Fire (rn I'm reading A Clash of Kings) while drinking beer and listening these ambiente music videos! Thanks partner!!
I think I've mentioned it before somewhere, I'd love to but I also would like to capture some footage from the raid itself. Which is quite difficult since it's a current content and I can't solo it. On the other hand waiting for a year until Shadowlands sounds like an even worse idea than limiting the visuals to just the outside zone... We'll see.
I've never played World of Warcraft. I'm an Elder Scrolls Online fan. If anybody has played both, can you tell me how big the WoW world is compared to ESO?
How odd it is but my dranaie Hunter Saila never got to visit Nagrand (Draenor) she did go there in outland right before the launch of Wrath. She never got a chance to see her world before it was destroyed and so did I.... And now she is just gone... sort of sad actually...
When it comes to exploration, the art, the atmosphere, the music and ofc the cinematic - WoD stood out by far. The content however was probably the worst of any expansion so far.
I like to read comments, where people describe their minds or some memories about location :)

I loved exploring Draenor more than any other expansion. The music was magic and each zone had an unique atmosphere.
Spires for me

Well this was absolutely beautiful to read thank you

I never complained about WoD even tho almost everyone was. Sadly they didn't finish all areas as expansion was not popular.
Brings back memories of around 2007-8 when I was 28 now I’m 41 . Music still is so good and always will be. About this kind music. It’s timeless.
Nagrand has my favorite music and ambience. I remember farming primals back in the day. So nostalgic...

17:22 what an emotional piece of music. It’s crazy that 10 years almost have passed now..
I feel like WoW is a game more enjoyable after you’ve been away from it for a while. Too bad I can’t get away from it.
true, maybe it is because of nostalgia but the idea and feel of the game is always better than actually playing it
The old and new Nagrand music I can hear again and again, again. Relax pure for me.
46:07 for World Expo H, maybe the best OST in open-world WoW
I've always liked that Nagrand brought a sense of normality to an otherwise brutish wasteland.
Yes I love these kind of areas.
Probably my *favorite area* of the whole game. (Draenor & Outland)
2nd best zone for me. My 1st place is Storm Peaks, hands down!
@@LeiokMetal I love the ambience from Storm Peaks, it looks so peacefull

I'm gonna finish my college listening wow soundtrack and ambience from your videos during day-run studying!
Great job well done! And thank you!
31:05 for Safe Haven.

The good news is these dungeons can still be M+ dungeons in current content - 3 of them already have been! :)
I remember those flying trees, nice place to chill

Merci beaucoup!!

Thank you for creating these awesome videos.
👍
One of my fav zones
A certain theme here is very reminiscent of the Godfather themesong, it's the same progression only short two notes at the end. @4:35
i love this place
Beautiful.
There will never be better video game music.
Nice !
A other good vidoe dude keep it up you rock plz makke a vidoe of Drustvar
Have you got any plans to release Dread Wastes soon?
hey i've been waiting forever
It's Draenor, not outland, isn't it?
But one more time a relaxing video. :)
🤭
I love your videos so much man! I was wondering, could you do Nazjatar sometime soon?

@@Everness1 that makes sense, I'm definitely fine with waiting for a while if you feel like that'd make for a better video
love my adamantite country :D
If it’s outland, then why is the footage from Draenor?
Anton Buus Hansen the title is wrong, it’s also draenor music
Yeah I know. I just figured it would be better to ask, instead of outright saying the title is wrong
Anton Buus Hansen I feel you
We miss wow classic
Did they update the music for nagrand? i can't remember this
It's different to the outland Nagrand music.
@@SGorilla Ah thanks man
This is where I got to lvl70.

Never played ESO but if I compare it to skyrim, it's around 10 times bigger than skyrim

Guys, u recommend classic WoW?
SAEL wait for bgs to come out, or roll pve server, but yes, very much so.
31:05 46:07
Anyone noticed how it kinda sounds like the Godfather theme song?
Look at that Like/Dislike ratio!
Garrosh did nothing wrong.
yuuea baby
this is not the original soundtrack
SUCH FREAK SCENE FOR A SUCH MUSIC! COMPLETE STUPIDITY! 😂😂😂 46:07
