Blood elves were also my reason for switching to the Horde back in the day. What I love about them is that (in pre-cata at least, don't know about the next extensions) they feel like their own faction. They're not in the Alliance, but they're not accepted in the Horde neither, and they only got in because Sylvanas used to be a blood elf and she's the faction leader. WoW Soundtracks have never quite been the same since WOTLK. Whilst Cataclysm's music is objectively 'good', the music for the old world zones was too dramatic and orchestrial at times. This trend continued. MOP was a bit of a tangent as it was very Asian infused, but throughout WOD, Legion and so on soundtracks have got more and more busier. It is not as pleasant to listen to. Vanilla-WOTLK had this style of soundtrack that just got lost after Wrath, maybe they changed composer. But the early WoW music feels really unique and has its own style, whereas BFA's soundtrack could be lost amongst the plethora of other fantasy game soundtracks that have come out in the past decade.

What you heard in WoD was largely the influence of Clint Bajakian's direction, wanting to encapsulate that almost urgent, boisterous, adventurous sound that permeates the entirety of WoD's atmosphere and music which I personally think is excellent all around, one of the game's strongest soundtracks by far, followed closely by Legion and Mists. WoD seems to have been a one-off kind of deal, much like the entire expansion itself, never to be done like that again. You're definitely right that the sound changed after Wrath. I would disagree somewhat about BfA, however, as I'm not sure it would be entirely lost. Sure. At this point it's practically free money for the company. Now _when_ will they stop is another question entirely, since you can make a compelling enough argument for Cataclysm and Mists of Pandaria re-release, but after those two people's anticipation goes down _real_ fast. (Shadowlands Classic 2034 🤞)
it's been 7 years since i stopped playing, my main and first character was a blood elf sub rogue, even if i was at 75-90, i'd be visiting silvermoon from time to time, just to relax and sit down.
I'll never forget seeing Eversong for the first time when BC came out. There hadn't really ever been an environment like that in Classic and it was shockingly beautiful.
It's still beautiful even today, which is surprising considering how it's still stuck in the past with some ancient textures. The colors and architecture are fantastic.
Hey Everness, I read in a comment from a few months ago that things have been rough on you and I hope you're doing better now! I just wanted to leave a comment to let you know that I still come here regularly to listen to your uploads and appreciate the work that goes into making them :)
@@stefanoandrianopoulos9071 Turns me about, hm, 13 or 14. I started when I was 12 in Nov 2006. Growing up playing WoW makes it a very formative experience. Played the game since 2017 and dipped into Classic when that came out. It's a part of me. I don't even play games anymore, but I'm still going to watch Blizzconline.
I love that one of the first games I remember playing was Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, and here I am, more years later than I care to admit, still enjoying Warcraft.
The adventurer pass the bridge at a perfect point of the soundtrack: 7:13 Just beautiful... Can he imagine the grandeur of the adventure that awaits him?
From the Journal of Azetus, Master Mage of the Sin'dorei: "I was just a boy when the Scourge attacked our homeland. My father, Ceverine, was one of the few warriors who survived that awful battle that lost us the Sunwell. His bravery in the face of that awful man clad in black armor is something I will always be proud of. When I finally became a man, I joined the Silvermoon armies as a proud Battlemage of the Horde, following in my father's footsteps to defend my home from the Alliance that abandoned us. I never could have imagined that as soon as my three months of training had ended, the Legion would invade the Broken Isles. I fought beside my father throughout their invasion... ...until he lost his life on Argus. For my efforts in the war, the Horde called me as a hero. My Regent Lord presented me with fabulous raiments to honor my newfound reputation, and even the Kirin Tor saw fit to make me a new Archmage. But while Silvermoon celebrates my victories, all I can think of is how my father deserved the honors I received far more than I did, and yet he will only be remembered as a warrior who died defending his home. He deserves far more than that."
Ahh, this was my RP -jam-! 17 again, still learning English, making a blood elf mage. Swaggering through the streets of Silvermoon, wearing a new ostentatious robe every time ... Yup, defo a favourite area. Blood elven conduct taught me the meaning of suave even before I knew the word
Blood elf and draenei zone are in the outland 'world box', making it obvious for flying player that it just a floating island in the end. Thats the main reason why we cant fly in these zone. Sadly.
@@Quaarlos I don't think copying it to mainland Eastern kingdoms would be that hard. Main reason actually is that they would have to rebuild it because it is build like the old world was. @@Everness1 As I've been working the past week and on a listening spree, I noticed almost all of the Ambience-only compilations have disappeared (there are still some from Skyrim posted on the channel). Was this because of that stupid RUclips thing where it Disabled comments and videos because they were not child-safe or something? Apologies for asking, it's just that, thanks to those helping myself and my GF with sleeping, she actually picked up WoW and we now play together. They were very soothing, in particular the winter ones like Dun Morogh or Storm Peaks, or the Jade Forest and Stranglethorn, and most of all the one with rain, in Gilneas.
This whole soundtrack will always have a place in my heart, i don't miss TBC and WOTLK just for the quests, raids or PvP, but for THAT inexplicable feeling that gets you while you are doing a low level quest with some random people you just met ingame. That's something else man...
will never forget playing a belf pally for the first time in Wrath back in the day, levelling for maybe 25 levels or so. was such a magical time. I played again when BC classic released, and it just wasnt quite the same, although I do still have fond memories. amazing race and music, and zone and everything. Some of the best lore in the game with Kael'thas. My belf's name was Kelthael. Legendary.
I was wondering if I was the only one getting TLOTR vibes during some passages? Like at 3:27. Either way, Blood Elves ambience music and Suramar's soundtrack are so magical, enigmatic and yet slightly creepy... my favourite.
I rememeber the very first time I played WoW (around the time 'Wrath of the Lich King' released) and I was very enchanted by the colour palette (orange being my favourite colour) and soothing yet somewhat brooding soundtrack of the Blood Elves. Love these type of video's, thanks for the work done!
It's great to listen to these pieces of music come alive again and revivify so many great memories for us all to share. Thank you Everness for compiling these together. Considering it seems more worth your time to put Skyrim music together, you're still putting together World of Warcraft videos too. Thank you!
Thank you so much!! I was making a half elf last night for dnd and using the limited album music as inspiration this is way better with all the different variants!
My bloodelf paladin back in BC was my favorite character and one of my first i played quite seriously. I always went so Silvermoon to craft jewelry but which was only taught there. But also I went there to get to my class teacher. Just because I loved the city so much. Also the leveling in that area was great. That music brings back the good old days.
I used to literally sign in and leave my belf standing there just for the ambience and music. Then after making multiple alts and having to level through this area over and over I got so tired of it I would mute and listen to pretty much any other music. Now hearing it again I feel the weirdest mix of annoyance and nostalgia.
This is amazing. You keep on doing your magic. Your vids help me when I'm down or depressed. They just take me to another plane and help me heal Thank you so much
Oh lord i love playing Bloodelf. Their history, the scar by Arthas, Sylvannas, Kael'Thas, their comeback after almost being cleansed from Azeroth. All the lore this region has its epic, sad and emotional. I always look in your videos if there is players running arround still, but i dont see none :(, like i wish they were there so it means WoW isnt near-death. I would live on Eversong woods for eternity. Remembering killing the Wretched on the port, seeing how my homeland started changing from beatiful and charming.. to this undead Ghostland, i was terrified the first time i get to Ghostlands, remembering the terror that happened on Warcraft 3, but then i got to Tranquilillien and cooled off, helping with the quests on the east (Farstrider Enclave), killing the nerubians at the Suncrown Village, then getting the necklace of Sylvannas. Thanks for the video Everness
Since '96 when WC2 came out I have loved the elves of Quel'Thalas. It's still a shame we cannot fly here. The FP from Quel'danas is the closest thing we have to seeing the city from the air.
i miss your uploads everness, you truly are my favourtie wow music channel! i hope you are okay... i would love a 1hr vid of just the undead tavern music.. maybe one day i'll get my wish, but in the meantime i thank you for everything here, i fall asleep to your playlists almost every night! ♥

Qué lindooo! mi main siempre ha sido una elfa de sangre. Llevo 14 años jugando wow y esta melodía siempre me recuerda mis primeras experiencias en WOW, cuando empecé en Lunargenta. Qué tiernos recuerdos!!
The bombing run was definitely one of my favorite Sunwell moment, as a Blood Elf Pally too. I fumbled the run the first and second time because I got distracted by the heroic brass segment to actually do the bombing! Flying on the backs of beautiful dragonhawks, taking vengence for all the sufferings and injustices my people have endured...Damn, making me feel so badass, and so sad, but also cathartic. What a national tragedy does to a people! I'll forever love the Blood elves. Glory to the Sin'dorei!
I started playing wow about 6 months after burning crusade started once I bought the expansion a friend of mine in the guild I was in ask me if I wanted to go check out the horde side and when I logged in to the blood elf starting zone I immediately regretted not buying the expansion and starting out with blood elves I've always loved this area

Now _when_ will they stop is another question entirely, since you can make a compelling enough argument for Cataclysm and Mists of Pandaria re-release, but after those two people's anticipation goes down _real_ fast. (Shadowlands Classic 2034 🤞)
Iconic music!! Pretty on the surface but swimming with something sad and sinister. I love the story of the blood elves.
Everness come back, your work is yet not over.....
it's been 7 years since i stopped playing, my main and first character was a blood elf sub rogue, even if i was at 75-90, i'd be visiting silvermoon from time to time, just to relax and sit down.
Understand your comment completely but we had as much, I am not afraid saying more stunning and beautiful Teldrasil and Ashenvale zones. 😊
Thank you so much for making these. I truly appreciate the work that goes into these.
Hey Everness, I read in a comment from a few months ago that things have been rough on you and I hope you're doing better now!
I just wanted to leave a comment to let you know that I still come here regularly to listen to your uploads and appreciate the work that goes into making them :)
hope all is better now!
Damn, right in the feels. Suddenly i'm 25 again.
Damn. Turns me 16
How old are you now?
@@bitterleafcastle1552 39 bro. TBC was released 14 years ago.
@@ArrozMisto me too. lol
The long-awaited legend has come back to us.
I love that one of the first games I remember playing was Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, and here I am, more years later than I care to admit, still enjoying Warcraft.
The adventurer pass the bridge at a perfect point of the soundtrack: 7:13
Just beautiful... Can he imagine the grandeur of the adventure that awaits him?
🥲
I've been playing this on loud speaker at home so much, it's like the soundtrack to my life 🌙🌞
Mine as well❤
Come back you make my days easier
Rest in peace Anasterian
Rest in peace Dath’Remar
The last kings of Quel'Thalas.
Hey, I hope you're doing well. Thanks for all the compilations, they really take me back to my early days in WoW.
2007...... 14 years ago. Wow!!!
From the Journal of Azetus, Master Mage of the Sin'dorei:
"I was just a boy when the Scourge attacked our homeland.
Your backstory is awesome. Rock on :D
@@calebmcmorris5956 Thank you so much!
The blood elf starting areas are some of my favorites. 💕
Love these eternal Autumn afternoon landscapes,it’s rendered so beautifully. Thanks for posting Evernes.
This is magical. Music truly has a power like nothing else. May peace be with you all!
Time goes on but you still cant fly in silvermoon :DD
Blood elf and draenei zone are in the outland 'world box', making it obvious for flying player that it just a floating island in the end. Thats the main reason why we cant fly in these zone. Sadly.
@@Quaarlos I don't think copying it to mainland Eastern kingdoms would be that hard. Main reason actually is that they would have to rebuild it because it is build like the old world was. If you manage to get on the walls you see that it's basically a cardboard cutout. Everything that isn't visible while walking through the city is just empty with no texture.
Especially in Quel'Thalas I wish it was a thing.
If I could like this over and over again, I would. Thank you Everness for rekindling these fond memories (:
Just wanted to thank you for all the work you do of bringing these soundstracks back to life.
my first ever character in 2011 im so cry UGH
I've mained a Draenei Frost DK for almost forever but this capital will literally ALWAYS have a huge place in my heart. Love the nostalgia
I've been listening to the Barrens track a lot lately, warcraft really had some amazing soundtracks. Thank you so much, you're the best as always, Everness!
My absolute favorite and best music and locations from the game. The eternal sun guides us.
Thank you for making this video! I have been searching for a video with all Blood elven soundtracks in it. Truely a nostalgi trip
My favorite mix you've done. Blood elves have been my favorite ever since Warcraft III. Thank you for this!
The day before my sisters death she was still playing wow. We played it since 2004… I remember when the blood elves arrived.. it was such a big event for us. It became our favorite race… we had so many characters. I still love the game but my sister played way more than I so it reminds me too much of her. Idk if I can still play it now that she’s gone
I’m so so sorry to hear this. I can’t even comprehend what it’s like to lose a sibling. I understand it’s painful to do anything that makes you think of her so much. I wish you the best Marie, I’m so sorry for your loss 🙏🏻❤️
@@kellim307 oh whoa I’m really touched by your comment. I even forgot I wrote all this (sorry for the trauma dumping)
Anyway you’re so kind thank you!! It’s really nice of you to say all that.. God bless you. Thank you so much. I really appreciate it
💛🌅
When you're overwhelmed by nostalgia you almost throw up.
Definitely the best starting zones and quests through the next few zones.
Eversong will always be my favorite of the starting locations. So beautiful, peaceful, and fun. It feels so thematic with the trolls and undead leftovers. The blood elf history was so cool and I never even played Frozen Throne.
I know normally we'd be glad for a new video, but this time, I just want to say that seeing this in my Subs meant that you were still alive and kicking man.
Thanks for the amazing content and stay safe >:D
Trying my best, one day at a time. :)
Your videos are accompanying me during these hard times. They bring me peace. I really hope you're well
I honestly just wanna say I adore this channel so much, helped me through stressful times!
”Anu belore dela'na” n shiet
This whole soundtrack will always have a place in my heart, i don't miss TBC and WOTLK just for the quests, raids or PvP, but for THAT inexplicable feeling that gets you while you are doing a low level quest with some random people you just met ingame. That's something else man...
Thank you for this. The Sin'dorei will always hold a special place in my heart as a WoW player. Especially as a Death Knight raised by Arthas himself.
Take me down to the Silvermoon City
Where their eyes glow green
And the Elves are pretty
On a dark and cold Wednesday morning nothing is more awesome than to wake up for one of your new videos. :) Thanks Everness, you are great!
will never forget playing a belf pally for the first time in Wrath back in the day, levelling for maybe 25 levels or so. was such a magical time. I played again when BC classic released, and it just wasnt quite the same, although I do still have fond memories. amazing race and music, and zone and everything. Some of the best lore in the game with Kael'thas. My belf's name was Kelthael. Legendary.
Still listen to your channel everyday my brother.
I was wondering if I was the only one getting TLOTR vibes during some passages? Like at 3:27. Either way, Blood Elves ambience music and Suramar's soundtrack are so magical, enigmatic and yet slightly creepy... my favourite.
I'm so glad you uploaded! Thank you for another stellar WoW mix!! 💜
💛
This is a beautiful tribute to my people, thank you. So cant wait for Burning Crusade Classic! Take me back to the good old days!
Thank you!
fantastic work as always Everness. Beautiful arrangement and great visuals, thanks!
Oh man I love your stuff! Awesome work
I have been listening everyday to the Eversong and Silvermoon videos you uplaoded before. So glad you made a new video. Thank you
I LOVE Blood Elves. Thank you for this so much!! I love you!!!
I love you too!
I'd love to step back in again and listen to 34:40 in person but it just won't be the same carefree 2AM adventure with friends on vent :)
And we will live this master pieces again in TBC Classic i can't believe 😍
Thank you so much!! I was making a half elf last night for dnd and using the limited album music as inspiration this is way better with all the different variants!
I was 7 years old when i heard it. More than a cartoon music is now into my mind. And i'm proud of that.
Great memories in Silvermoon :P These areas were absolutely mindblowing when TBC released, so beautiful and colorful work.
This channel is a blessing
Hoping to get new music that lives up to this in the Midnight Expansion. I love Quel'thalas 🧝♂️
I used to literally sign in and leave my belf standing there just for the ambience and music. Then after making multiple alts and having to level through this area over and over I got so tired of it I would mute and listen to pretty much any other music. Now hearing it again I feel the weirdest mix of annoyance and nostalgia.
Hell yes, I absolutely love the magical sound the blood elf music has. Thank you!
Liked and added to my Playlist asap. I spent so much time in these areas - its not even a joke
The quality is so good! Keep it up! Thank you for your amazing work :)
This is amazing. You keep on doing your magic.
Your vids help me when I'm down or depressed. They just take me to another plane and help me heal
Thank you so much
Thanks to these videos I got my university degree. Great work!
Beautiful, this'll put me to sleep easy, i've been listening to the Eversong video for so long I didn't even imagine how many other tracks there were
Oh lord i love playing Bloodelf.
I never played much horde did play some blood elf thought when the expansion came out had to test the new race. stuck whit the dranaei though.
man I miss wow its comunity and the feeling.
Classic wow exists for people like us.
We're still here on retail too btw. Not too many of us left but hope that may change one day...
Great job out there, boys. Floryn is proud of you. Stay flying. -Army Brat
Oh, hey, does anyone see the footage of my drunk Blood Elf? You should it's pretty funny.
Oh btw HeavenlyDragon, your second in command is not AT ALL pleased with this pve session. We'll be having a pvp later about this.
it doesnt seem to matter how much i tell myself the days of playing wow are over, i hear this music and i want to come back
I get chills listening to this
Me too!
For me, this game will forever live on through its music.
Love this. So many memories. Eversong Woods, forever..
It's stupid to associate it with this, but it reminds me of when my dog was still alive. I miss the old days of my life.
Good work dude, thank you for all of this videos!
Omg I was so happy to see you post this and I’m hoping this means more ambient videos in the future? Just the other day I was wishing you would make an Ardenweald ambient video 🌙✨
I tend to overpromise and underdeliver, at least it terms of quantity of these videos. All I can say is I’ll try my best. 😌
I can’t wait for Midnight
You’re back! Thanks for this!
Turns me into a blood elf every time I hear it...
Thank you for posting this. This is most excellent music for me to work on my writing.
I wonder if Everness is ok, hasn't posted here or on Twitter for over a year.
Wherever he is, I hope he knows how many of us appreciate the work he's done.
I often listen to videos here when I code and need to stay focused.
Thanks man.
I've just noticed that, it's strange how he stop posting on both RUclips & Twitter at the same time.
I've been waiting for so long king! Now waiting for the Shadowlands ones 😁
Love hearing this tyvm... glade I caught this last minute when power is off all over the place in tx.
Guild Wars 2 mix next please! Awesome channel!
