One of my favorite fictional worlds is Azeroth from the Warcraft franchise. The realms of the Night Elves are particularly special and nostalgic for me. To learn more about the Warcraft franchise, check it out here: worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/

This music honestly almost brings tears to my eyes. I was a freshman in college when WOW first came out. Endless nights gaming and meeting new people. Was some of the best times of my life.
same.. i resub every halloween and stay a little ways past christmas, just for the nostalgia. IF at Christmas was a thing to behold. Now its no longer a hub.
I feel the same nostalgia. I haven't played in years but may try for a bit just to try the experience again.
Same here. I can still remember grinding with my hunter to this music wondering what adventures lay ahead of me in the next zone and what would lvl 60 feel like. Random encounters made for life long friends. If I could go back to 2004 I'd do it all again in the same way. I miss vanilla wow. I always come back once a year to play around but life and kids have my attention now.
🤜🤛🙌
Haha! OLD
Soundtrack is making me feel like a teenager again when I just started playing Wow!
That era was the best in my life, now a days most of us are married and have a lot of responsibilities... sure we can play games but not for 12 hours a day :)
When you played? Still am
Makes me feel like I’m 9 years old again
@@Crix_Gaming me too
I close my eyes and it's 2007 again and I'm exploring, questing, skinning.. so many good memories such a amazing place to escape in.
No matter how long I've been gone from this it only takes a moment listening and I'm right back to being a night elf rogue
Then what's happened to all that fun now ?!
You’re so right, it’s like “the good old days” I went back playing Classic, it was nice, but it was not the same as Vanilla.
When you’re young and experience something like this for the first time you can never get the same thing…
I guess this is why people in general always say that things where better when they were young simply because you didn’t know as much as now and your life was far more easy with nothing on your mind.
And as you said, you could really escape from life playing vanilla, once of the best times of my life as well.
NE Warrior here...And yes....yes...YES!
@@yok0hama447 Indeed. Such a wise response.
Hugs mates.
@@STARLIGHT_KSA he got old,the magic is gone after time passes, when wow came out it was revolutionary in the mmo landscape, also it was a social media source as back then facebook didnt exist, and other similar sites were not all that popular
Ishnu-alah, fellow Night Elf.
Thank you for this. It feels like home.
and home we go, to the place beyond time, back to azeroth...
Allah hu Akbar ! Fellow Taliban.

When I first played WoW with my cousins back in 2005, we really didn't know what we were getting into. We all rolled night elves, explored Ashenvale, so much mystery and fantasy, we were stepping into a new world.
Then there I was, a level 14 Druid, standing on the roads just right outside of Astranaar, staring at a Lumbering Armored ?? Tauren. He charged me, one shot, dead and laughed at me. After that, my cousins and I decided to reroll as Horde. We played nearly every expansion of WoW after that, made a LOT of friends, had a lot of late night filled with questing, raids, farming, leveling alts or just plain hanging out in Orgrimmar near the AH. Those will forever be a part of me.
I've lost a lot of interest in Wow, a few of us played Classic but it wasn't the "same". The player base has evolved, there's too much min/maxing involved and the game really lost it's innocence, that's something only people who played vanilla through wrath can really understand. But I will always remember this music, being an innocent player getting skull fucked by that big ass Tauren Warrior.
I think we all have a similar story lol, and that's what made it so special.
Yea, the min/maxing is the biggest problem. If you play for fun, and explore the game without maxing everything youre not even allowed into other groups. Made me quit classic very quickly.
Good times man, good times. I too have lost interest in WoW, and classic indeed was not the "same". I listen to this when I need a relaxing nostalgia trip. I miss when games felt so magical.
I had the exact same experience starting out as a NE hunter. After that beatdown re-rolled Tauren Shaman
I feel this man, I'm alliance through and through - but still - the sentiment is the same. The game is different not because of the mechanics, but because of the players... it's just not like it was - no one cares about the fantasy/innocent/exploring side of it or the immersion, everyone just wants their loot and to win. I donno maybe I'm just a grumpy old gamer haha!
My Tauren shaman married a Tauren Druid in a private rp wedding in Ashenvale , the only attendance were critters and the elements. God we were such dorks. 12 years later still playing.
This will never die. We will have synth, to original. We will have wow mastalgia. We will have orchestra acknowledgement. We will have you. It's so fun. Thank you all for this amazing ride. Team Lore!!

Elf: wow so majestic and tranquil.
Human: awesome tourist destination.
Orc: LUMBER
The first time wandering into ashenvale from the barrens back in 2004 is a feeling I've been chasing since
This 4k music is the best! You can really hear the pixels
Technically, 4K uploads on RUclips offer a higher audio bitrate compared to lower definition streams. Specifically, the audio bitrate for 4K videos can reach up to 384 kbps, whereas 1080p videos can only max out at 192 kbps.
@@LilHaseProductionsyes but the human ear can only hear at 60 FPS...
I love all these comments, everyone should go back and play, dont let it be nostalgia, go have fun again
I so agree. And I never left. Been around since 2004.
I have long since stopped playing WoW. I used to play it a lot, copious amounts of time in truth. But there's a few memories that will stay with me. The first time stepping out of the crypt in Deathknell. And the first time setting foot in Ashenvale. The aesthetic, the music. There's something hauntingly beautiful about this place. It even made me switch to Kaldorei later down the line. ❤
Was my favourite place in wow back in the days! Great memories. I would sometimes just hang out there with my character. Good times
Same!
Same!
Love it!! So many fond memories from when I first started exploring teldrassil forest thinking that was going to be 90% of the game and when I got on a boat that connected to Azeroth I was in for a BIG surprise!!! As soon as I got cheetah form I ran around every single zone just to explore!
WoW has some of the best music. I remember playing vanilla for HOURS because I was captivated by the music and exploring new areas. To this day, I still love the music.
I grew up in Spain, far from Blizzard. When WoW came up, I was in college. I obsessed over Blizzard. 10 years later, I made my dream come true and moved to California and got a job there. Sadly not the company I fell in love with anymore.
Nonetheless, walking around all the artists and devs who made WoW was a breathtaking experience for me.
Blizzard is still a great company making great games. Dragonflight is awesome.
@@eodyn7 hahaha
@@eodyn7 lol, how much they paying you?
@@eodyn7 agreed! The game is brimmed with adventure to this day!
@eodyn7 lmao it is such an evil company you have to be getting paid to promote it
Whoever composed the original ashenvale music - Hats off to you. One of the best soundtracks in gaming.
Also - the background animation is gorgeous!
Ashenvale is the best wow zone! amazing OST, amazing art, amazing lore, amazing quest chains, and was my first starting zone....Im still in deep love with this even when Im 40+ years old
Honestly it was great but looking back, it was mostly "these guys have been corrupted, slay 40 of them" XD
Re-listening to these songs and sounds is like getting punched right in the soul...
Listening to this brings me back to being on my first real pc, playing my night elf hunter, leveling trying to learn to kite things. Good times, i really miss those days and i dont think nothing will come close to those days and that fun i had back then
Can't replace those memories! I wish I could go back and relive them.
now every new mmo is about who can hit max level first, knowing everything before a game even launches and guides for everything. MMO's will never be the same again because the players will never be the same again.
@@Gisborne1990 That is totally true, my dad told me a story one time about h ow their server back then found out Onyxia's Lair existed and how they discovered it! - Truly amazing, can't have moments like those nowadays..
So true. It's so crazy how different it was back then. Everything was so new, so many things to explore. These days even if it's a new game, I can't find find the same excitement, as I feel like I've "seen it all before".
Havent played WoW in several years, but when I randomly clicked myself in here, memories just flashed before me.
WoW was incredible in the beginning. There was nothing like it. Millions of players. And a ton of friends.
Cannot describe how emotionally touched I am as this music starts.
Rolling up in “contested” territory is where the fun began :)
The start of this ambient... you go from the Barrens into Ashenvale for the first time... unbelievably epic
As a Horde player, Ashenvale was the first pvp zone I experienced back in 2006. This will always be the zone I remember the most fondly from my time playing as my brain was at peak awareness for hours after I entered with my orc hunter. I felt stalked by Alliance druids, rogues, and other vile red nameplates I got a glimpse of in the distance as I tried to stay out of sight. I quit play after MoP and I will never return as the magic of playing this game is all but gone, but man do I miss the days when I used to play. For many reasons it was the best period of my life. It's the closest I've been to childhood bliss as a young adult and WoW played a big part in that
It will be in the middle of the night for me but I WILL WATCH THIS!
Ive been away from the game for a while now and I keep feeling the pull to come back. Its hard to forget a game I played for over 17 years
Wow, my first journey into the world back in 2005. This could almost make me cry. The absolute pure joy listening to this along my journey to find the next buzzbox....
This cured my night shift insomnia, thank you
Crikey! This music brings back so many emotions! I wish I could go back to those days when life was almost perfect when I had no care in the world apart from WoW and my lady.
I not long ago turned 50 and hearing this again made me feel like I was 30 again, just wish my lady was with me to begin the adventure from the beginning (Season of Discovery this time). just hope shes flying up there with the angels 😢One day we'll be flying again my sweetheart 💕
It's difficult to listen to but not half as much as the Grizzly Hills music..............
The best time of my life, playing this Game.!!❤❤👍❤
When I hear these soundtracks from the nightelf leveling areas, i really want to play it again and again. I want these nostalgic feeling it heals my soul! Such a strong memories!
I relate 100% with the experiencie of many people here, if you started Horde, Ashenvale was the introduction to facing "real people" enemies in WoW, as some say you just has to get peak awareness mode to just stay alive in-game, and survive enemy's ambush, winning a 1v1 duel was an amazing experiencie which soon lead to enemy players call their friends so you had to run, to just find a group of other Horde players that eventually join the skirmish and you end up pretty much in guerrilla warfare for hours versus the enemy faction, through the entire zone... it could easily end up in 15 vs 15 people open world battle... It was amazing, Ashenvale was amazing!
This music brings all those pristine innocent memories back!
This ^ warsong gulch is still my fav bg to this day and I haven’t played in forever lol.
The best game experience ever. The first time 2004 it blew my mind away. Countless funny moments, meeting new people around the world. Fun asf.
Thank you for not monetizing this video so there are no ads. Ashenvale is very relaxing.
This was one of the music tracks my best friend/sister sent me (the opening of this video, i mean). The other, and the last thing she would ever send me, was Lament of the Highborn ... I cry every time I hear that song too. She passed away in a tragic accident while on a photoshoot with a modeling agency.
I am very sorry for your loss! 🥲
One of my favorite zones - perfect addition to your line up!
Дизайн и атмосфера игры шикарные, особенно начальные локации
It brings so much memories from a time that is long gone, the 2006ish era, pexing in orneval/asheval with my rogue night elve. I was 16, not working, still in my parent's house, questing, raiding, pvping all night long until dawn !
Now i work and 21h is the new midnight 🤣, i no longer play wow, but i have a lot of great memories that will follow me everywhere, anytime!
theese ambience music help me studying now, it relaxes me at the same time
The best Musik in WoW
I remember when i first started playing WOW, my sister and I played in Ashenvale and Darkshore. I just loved going AFK to hear this music play for hours and hours and still do.
Ahh, Ashenvale forest. After ten thousand years I still recognize this cursed place!
The best zone with the best music of vanilla, amazing memories
So much fun so long ago. Questing with friends and friends you never met!!!!
The animation and sounds are on point. I love the little firefly/wisps. ☺️
This music and animation is fantastic and I very much like the fireflies. Great music to accompany me in my home office! 🎶
Magic place. Remember all the little sounds, all of it.
My first character was a orc warrior and I remember questing in durotar and the barrens then coming apon ashenvale and it blew my mind
the land of the night elves is the most enchanting place~ a former blood elf.
I still remember the adventurous feeling when I first played alliance and made an elf character. The good old days, I miss them and I want to cry now
Beautiful place, magical music... also, the other way around.
This is great sleep music. Put some ear buds in a fall asleep under the ashenvale night sky 😮
8 years ago since the first time I played this "jewel" Warcraft 3 was stunning. I know this is WOW but hell its like a timeback!!
This place is my favorite to hang out with my friends at max level to just chill out and vibe to this music
This is both peaceful and adventurous! I love it!!
I admit I haven’t had played this but it has beautiful music 🎵🎵
Guilty. A lot of fantasy games have beautiful tracks though. That's good love there 💕💕
The magnitude of this game at launch and its ambition was really incredible. Such an amazing soundtrack and design. It is a shame they have sort of lost the way lately but hoping they recover with the next expansion and future
This is awesome! I remember getting the WOW soundtrack years ago. I love the music, and especially just the overall ambience of places like Ashenvale and Teldrassil. Good work!
Never really got into WoW but I jam to the music all the time while i'm gaming on my other MMORPG
Amazing, having just returned to WoW after a 3 year break, the timing couldn't bemore perfect :-)
What expansion are you playing? It's in official? Thx!
@@ihss2316 Shadowlands, will also be spinngin up a new character in Classic
@@tonymurphy30 I’m quite interested in how that went for you? Was starting to loose serious interest in legion, then BFA came and I quit after a month. I did try shadowlands and the first couple of weeks was good although it quickly made me loose interest again. I think that was the last time I will try to play it.. Even though they change some of the things I really dislike. The feeling in the game is just gone. Even in classic that feeling isn’t there.. Sad 😢!
Ahhh....my NELF Warrior with his trusty Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros!
This is beautiful! Ashenvale music and ambience has a very special place in my heart
amazing experiences back in the day. would be cool if they could erase the wow part of everyones memory, and we could do it all again. maybe in 20 years
Nostalgia......
I’ve been clean from Warcraft for about 12 months, whenever I hear music like this just makes me want to go backi. In fact I’ve already loaded it onto my new laptop.
Ashenvale was such a fresh breath of air after Darkshore. One of the most atmospheric places in the game. Feralas could have had the same if it didn't have that ridiculous overly green filter.
This is treasure, and it must be kept!
I'm thankful for this and your night elves video. They've been my favourite part of the WarCraft series for many years, and I've had such a resonance with their atmosphere. This music and this world are magic to me.
In the future when you start a game over again, I hope it wipes your memories of it just while you are playing so you can experience it for the first time again.
Night elf starting zone music! Teldrasil!! Cant wait for wrath classic.
At my funeral, I demand that this soundtrack be played.
very soothing for doing late night studying. just mysterious enough to keep you awake but calm enough to clear your head. nice mix
I need this as a live wallpaper!!!!!!!
Oh the memories! Playing my NE rogue, not having a clue, seeing the AH for the first time and the shock of an item costing 2g.
This music immediately transports me to my first WoW moments, as my first char was NE Rogue
I wish there was a place like this so I could actually live there....
Ohhh YES PLEASE!
Wow amazing. Thank you for adding WOW to the collection
This music makes me cry by beauty and nostalgic
This brings me back to my first days in 2004 playing wow. I still play and record to youtube and stream twitch some at times. :)
My very first toon was a NE druid, and though I play Horde now (Lok'Tar) I'll always find this music soothing and beautiful. Thank you for making it!
This brings back so many memories. Loved playing WoW back in the day. xD
I love that woman's voice singing that tune in the beginning of the video.
I remember getting lost in the woods around goldshire. I may never feel a sense of magic like that ever again
Agreed man....agreed.
I remembered when questing at Ahenvale.. i love that song
my eyes usually wet when im listening this , i wanna be a nelf/rogue with t3 tmog set and just walk around
2004 we can never go back.
Well this takes me back....
Oh my god! How did I miss that?!? @Ambient Worlds this is so good! This video is my second favorite after your LOTR series!!
Reminds me buying a pack of Mt dew the blue one with the night elf on it and playing for the first time chugging an entire 12 pack in a day such good memories
A lost time of peace and happiness
I'll be listening to this when going to sleep tonight!
Just put it on for my kids. 😊
This track gives me PTSD back to the days of getting ganked in Ashenvale.
Wow this place is amazing. First time hearing it
Beautiful!! Makes me want to visit this place!! 🤩
I always associated this music with Teldrassil more than Ashenvale
Takes me back to 2008 or so! Awesome!
Wow! Thank you so much for this one! :D
My favorite game music!
The Ashenvale music is the best in game music since the original Everquest music. A mention here for anyone who has never heard the Battlefield 1942 music. Totallly different but brilliant nonetheless.
