I once found myself talking to Norman Lovett on the phone (as he'd called the place where I worked) and my brain was doing somersaults because I recognised the voice but my brain was telling me that I could not be talking to a fictional character. I could not place the voice although it sounded so familiar. Eventually, it clicked... and melted down., "Ah. I've just realised who you are!", I said.
"Who do you think I am, then?", he asked.
With the brain, still melting down, I engaged the mouth and blurted out (in my best Holly impression), "April, May, June, July, and August Fool."
Without skipping a beat, he replied, "That's right. I am Queeg!" - Comic genius !
The queeg episode is one of the most brilliant pieces of comedy writing in history. You have a perfect punchline to an entire episode of build up.
Queeg and Stasis Leak (S2E4) are my 2 favourite episodes from the whole run

As much as I like queeg it makes me wonder, is Holly faking his computer senility? Queeg is quite intelligent and uses correct words, unlike Holly. So Holly could act normally but chooses not to?
The one they missed is in Dead Dave. Lister says "Not Kochanski too" Holly "She's dead too" Lister retorts "But I was going to take her with me to live in Fiji!" as he's looking at her pile of white powder. Then Holly comes back "Well she won't be much use to you now. Unless it snows and you need something to grit the path!" Hilarious
The dog’s milk bit is IMO the funniest thing I ever heard.

The Red alert bit about changing the bulb was my favourite.
Yes but this video is about Holly dialogue/gags, and the changing the bulb has nothing to do with Holly, Kryten says it.

@@spacedoutgame good question! I'm basing it on my VHS originals. Perhaps they changed it for the remastered version because Marilyn is timeless and more well known, whereas Felicity was more of the time and unknown outside the UK.
@@stephenbranley91 That was my first reaction. Maybe they used Monroe in the US/overseas releases when the show got big, but the UK version is definitely Felicity Kendall.

Speaking as a Chemistry and Physics teacher, I always enjoyed number 7.
Though to be fair, I did have a colleague in the PE department who was really good at chemistry, and his biology wasn't too shabby, either.
The Rat arsed joke in series 8 was great (although I know some Dwarfers don’t recognise the existence of series 7 onwards)

It's quite a common phrase in English.
Gordon Bennett was an American, fou ded the New York Herald. Got engaged to a socialite, turned up at her parents house drunk and took a piss in the grand piano. As you can imagine, other newspapers loved to report on his shenanigans and stick the boot in, so Gordon Bennett became a daily morning cry over the breakfast table in disbelief at what the fool did next.

The first 2 series were 👏 brilliant. 😂. Never liked Cryton when they introduced him . The show went down in my estimation .
He had his moments, but almost anyone with a role that well written could have slotted in without anyone thinking it could be done better - he tended to ham it up for no reason in places when a more deadpan delivery would have been funnier.
Even worse, he's spent the last few years pushing electric cars instead - something an actor is uniquely qualified to do, because scientists and engineers certainly won't endorse them when same resources required to make the battery for one car, combined with solar panels, could take multiple houses permanently off the grid, which is massively better for the environment than starting at the point the electric car lobby do, where the assumption that cars are the solution to people's problems rather than the cause of a lot of them has already been made.
