Legit blown away by the mic, a VERY close rival for my ModMic5! Aye, Hellblade will always be my gold standard for surround sound tests, will be interesting to see how the intro to Hellblade 2 compares!
Thank you so much for this review! Also thank you for the giveaway. The quality of the video, the in-depth review and you voice, fit perfectly. Keep up the good job!
great review, i am thinking about buying this headset but i have some questions i hope you can help me with -does sxfi and battle mode features work on the 3.5 mm? - is the sound quality of 3.5 the same as usb-c? -is the sound balanced? ( not too bassy or too much highs) -is the sound clear and detailed compare to your other headsets? thank you
Hi there, thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed it! SXFI/BATTLE Mode does work via 3.5mm but it's slightly different, the SXFI is a basic version without the personalisation but it's still incredible for single player experiences, Sound quality depends on the preamp of the product you're using the power the headset though I noticed no differences through my testing. Sound is mostly fine but a little bass heavy as the pads create quite a seal (albeit comfortable) They can get a little muddy at times as per any bass heavy headset but I'd take these every day over the PS4 Platinum headset, everything else I test was better in other ways (the Arctis 3 are more comfortable but a little quieter, the AKG's are better than anything else but a LOT more expensive to set up) Hope this helps mate!
@@FeralGinger thanks, one last question, i heard that when the headsed pluged and don't play any music or any sound, it makes noise. (both in usb c and 3.5mm) is that true?
This sounds better than the mod mic. Insane.
Right? Absolutely mental given how affordable the headset is!
I love this Linus-esque style of video.. production quality is getting better and better.
I'll be entering the giveaway!
Hell yeah! Thanks for the kind comment too! My shot list for each video is getting longer and longer 😬😂
That mic sounds very good, and testing the headset with a game like Hellblade was a great call! 💪

Glad to hear it man, aye I don't get on with Krakens for comfort at ALL unfortunately and that's the key thing for me!

Hey there, nope no issues with that. However, this will happen with any headset if there is incorrect grounding or electrical interfere.
@@FeralGinger thank you so much
Do you still use and recommend akg k702 headphones ?) Thinking of buying ones
Still use them for gaming EVERY day, just factor in some Dekoni ear pads for comfort!
Loving the review, very clear, will definitely be considering buying this
Yis ladddd
