- Hey guys I told you that I was bringing back Project MK7 on the channel and we are going to start this kick off with a new modification. Yes it's finally happening!!! Project MK7 is getting a Big Brake Kit from a Porsche! #porsche #vw #brakesystems.

Bro… just an FYI, Audi tends to use 66mm hubs, and the mk6 Golf R uses 345mm x 30mm rotors, with 57.1 center bore- I did the same upgrade, and these are the rotors I got- direct fit. The Macan calipers are great! Also, the Audi Q5 with a V6 tends to come with the Same caliper. I’m running these on Zimmerman cross drilled with Ferodo pads, and brake lines from technafit
I run The Tail of the Dragon (TN) once a month in my mk7 (stage 2). Going up to he Macan (Brembo) calipers and eventually the RS Rotors was a giant upgrade for me. urotuning has a kit with everything needed.

hey JR. Question. How can in find out if that caliper fits a 2012 b7 passat 3.6 or if id need to run a special bracket? Thanx
It will not work with the B7 Passat. That is a completely different chassis and a different generation of car. You would definitely need to find someone that make custom brackets for it.

Do you have to retract the pistons when you swap out the pads?
Hey so yes you do there is a tool that you can get from Amazon that will help with this. And it’s actually a lot easier than using a regular tool

I love my Big brake kit but they are noisy fackers
Honestly I don’t have any noise from these at all. Love the fact it’s still an OEM application but doesn’t provide any noise from driving regular on the street.
