  • Homemade bread, what can sound better than that? Simple and easy recipe that anyone can make. This bread does not require any kneading and the end product is mind blowing. The flavor, the taste and the best sounding crunch... If you love good bread, this recipe is definitely for you.
    Ingredient:
    - 3 cups (400g) flour
    - 2 tsp of salt (11g)
    - 1 tsp active dry yeast (4g)
    - 1 1/2 cup of lukewarm water (350ml)
    Instructions:
    1. To a bowl with lukewarm water (95-100F or about 36C) add yeast, mix well and let the yeast bloom for about 15 mins
    2. In a separate bowl with flour, add salt and mix well. That is a great idea to sift your flour to prevent from big flour lumps
    3. Once your yeast has bloomed, add flour to the yeast. By using the spatula carefully mix dry and wet ingredients together.
    4. Cover it with a damp towel and let it rise for at least 2 hours
    5. After 2 hours, transfer the dough into a floured parchment paper
    6. Shape your dough into a ball or loaf
    7. Cover with a damp towel and let it rest for 30 minutes
    8. While your dough is resting, place your Dutch oven (I use 7qt) with a lid on in the oven and preheat to 450F (230C) with the Dutch oven inside
    9. Once oven is preheated, carefully remove your Dutch oven out of the oven.
    10. Holding the dough by the parchment paper, carefully place the dough into preheated Dutch oven. Cut excess parchment paper. Please be mindful, Dutch oven will be VERY hot.
    11. Cover with a lid and bake in a preheated oven for 30 mins
    12. After 30 mins, take the lid off and bake for another 15 mins or until golden crust
    13. Take it off, let it rest for 20 mins
    14. Enjoy with a salted butter or your favorite meal

    I made this recipe yesterday and I loved it! I didn't have a dutch oven, but I do have a small clear glass casserole dish with a top, so I divided the dough in half and baked 2 loaves. The first loaf was eaten in minutes by me and mom. Second loaf is for today! I will say though, with the measurements in the description, my dough was very dry and didn't look like the video at all, so I ended up using half a cup more water which seemed to work well. After baking I brushed with some butter. It stayed crisp on the outside and was soft and fluffy inside. *chefs kiss* Will be making this again.

      same with dryness. did it rise correctly for you?

    • @rintinrina
      @rintinrina Год назад

      @@fennecweb It did rise pretty well. Since then I now add one teaspoon of sugar to the yeast water to help it along. It doesn't need it but it jump starts the yeast bloom. I feel like it takes a long while otherwise (and I'm impatient lol) It also doesn't affect the taste. Maybe give this a try to see if it helps.

    For extra flavor use less yeast then folding and proving 3 times then proving for 14 hours, will give it a more open crumb and much for flavorsomeness, there are recipes on yt that explain this, this is a good simple recipe for a fast loaf.

      This is a recipe for those nights when you didn’t plan for anything but then got a crave for delicious pasta and fresh bread with butter! It’s quick and it’s simple and it’s delicious. I really appreciate your advice, I’m still learning how to bake and cook a lot of food, stepping up my bread game is one of them. I’ll def try less yeast / longer proving hours. Love it 🥰

      Dead on Kidraver. My process is now exactly what you describe, with the added touch of misting the inside of the dutch oven, top of the loaf and inside the lid with water to create steam inside to allow the top to stay soft, allowing the loaf to expand even more. I love how we mere humans can now make and enjoy artisan bread without having to pay high prices for it. Still, great video and the bread looks awesome.

    This is great! Do you think it’s ok to let the dough sit, covered in a room temp oven overnight?

    • @JuicingPeaches
      @JuicingPeaches  2 года назад

      It is better to keep it in the fridge overnight for the stable temperature and it won’t get over fermented

    Thank you so much for the recipe, will definitely try it!! I used another recipe and didn’t quite come out right, but only had the oven set at 415 last time so hoping the 450 will make a difference! I’m pretty high in elevation as well, do you know if that’ll make a difference?
