I'm a beginner pilot (just shy of a P2 rating) thinking of buying either the BGD Seed or the Ozone Dragonfly for kiting 50% of the time and for taking little training hill sled runs to You've kited and flown both the BGD Seed and Dragonfly. Which one kites the best and is the safest and easiest to fly for these little sled runs?
The good and the bad about the Seed: + fun to kite + fun to fly in experienced hands - no speedbar or trimmers option. - very fast sledders in light conditions (not beginner friendly) - "kiting only wing" will get you a lot of unwanted attention So, I'd say if you intend on flying it, get the Ozone.
@MindOfTheSurfer because of the higher loading, miniwings are by nature faster and more demanding to land. But compared to other mini wings, i believe the dragonfly is more stable and beginner friendly. It's fun to kite, too.
Hi Karim, I have bought a dragonfly 16 myself. I weight 75kg. What is your weight and with which speed you can soar this amazing wing? Great movie by the way? Where is this place? Best regards and thank for your reply. 🙏🏼
@@clearcloudparagliding thx for your reply Karim, I appreciate it. Cape Cod is not in the neighborhood 😁. I live in Belgium, close to the Dutch border and about 1h driving from the coastline. Search "Dutch" soaring. Only one dune (town: Zoutelande) is good and the coastline (Wijk aan zee) close to Amsterdam is very good as well town 18mph is about 15,5kts. I'll try it with 16-18 knots than. If I made it. I let you know. Thx again mate👍🏼
I can’t like this one enough. Great video and flying mon ami 😀
Merci beaucoup

@@clearcloudparagliding Thanks Karim. That advice is much appreciated.
@@clearcloudparagliding How is the Dragonfly for kiting? How 'beginner friendly' is the Dragonfly just to sled run with would you say?

Good choice Wim! I weigh 82kg. I'd say you can soar the Dragonfly in 18 to +25 mph wind.
The site in the video is Wellfleet, Cape Cod, Massachussetts.

This was more fun and exciting than my first soaring flight! The BGD 14m is like riding a motorcycle.
I still can hardly believe this was real! The most fun I have ever had paragliding.
Did you see how well the 360 caught the 2 wings headed S pass us and the reaction of the wake? So fuckn cool.
