@@Nacobthe base game isn't that good to begin with, that's where Colours Ultimate went wrong. It's like remaking Rise Of Lyric, sure, bugs are patched but the game isn't good.

On the plus side, the third film is basically SA2 as a film so thats gonna be awesome hopefully
they tried new things for a decade and didn't make much progress, they went back to Colors which was pretty modern and didn't really need a remaster/remake, Forces was unsavory, Frontiers wasn't too bad to play through at first but the overall gameplay from island to island got very stale, very quickly, it became a chore. Not to mention, a lot of elements just look lifted from Zelda's BOTW, a true breath of fresh air, truly innovative.

I agree the only game I played was sonic heroes and generations unleashed was ok but wasn’t a fan of the night cycle stage . Other than that I played colors on the switch that didn’t even wow me. I gave frontiers a hard pass bcos of the repetitive of this so called open world . N practically the stages were rehashed of the stages from previous games.
That's sad, because we don't want new things. I'm 41 years old now. And still waiting on SA remake.
Why didn’t they just ask for a proper port of the Dreamcast version of the Adventure games with better audio mixing and possible redubbings with the original voice actors?

I really don’t care about a remake, or Sonic Adventure 3, yet I love SA1 and SA2 to DEATH.
I dont think we need a remake. We just need an adventure 3.
Remaking the first 2 Adventure games would get them in gear for a 3rd one. Plus it would serve as both a refresher as well as an introduction for new fans. Plus you could reuse assets and the same game engine for a new 3rd Adventure game. It's so easy yet they make it so hard to do. They really are complacent in their failure instead of rising from the ashes.
@@MacUser2-il2cx the whole you tube scene already has introduced new fans to adventure 2. Theres not a person out there that doesnt know about the game. Except people not into sonic. And the more you try to make a franchise be wider rather than focusing on whats good about it. the more you lose your fanbase and your game fails. See mass effect as an example.
Bruh they killed it with Colors, Generations and Frontiers. How can we as fans expect them to re do those old games? The effort needed would be unreal because Adventure 1 and 2 were literally so intense. Huge levels

The “New Things” have been unoriginal and lazy since 2010. Both SA1 & SA2 need remakes badly.
Sonic Frontiers did change direction, but it's clear that loss progress caused Sonic to have to rebuild thier approach from the ground up since Sonic Frontiers is still quite a bit behind other modern platforming titles.
No remakes, just new things.

To be fair, I'm actually pretty excited to play Generations again on modern consoles and stoked about the new Shadow campaign.

Its understandable when you consider how huge SA games are and how small ST is. The production value of SA2 is a lot higher than Frontiers even, the chao garden is a huge part of the game with a ton of work behind it, different playstyles, cutscenes with like, actual storyboarding and choreography and props, huge levels, multiplayer.
I do think if they remake any Adventure, it would be 1. Frontiers already got Amy, Knuckles and Tails and they were clearly trying out level design for these characters so they already did a lot of work on these. Open world aspect could be put in Station square, although a generic grass map is nothing as complex as a city with NPCs and such, but still, I could totally imagine Sonic running around Station square with this moveset, and different characters playing their levels. Ahhh dreams
Tbh, I think sa2 should stay untouched. Yo me it’s perfect the way it is, even the character designs, everything really.

Imo, there's nothing wrong with making new things, in fact it could be better, but nobody can play SA1 or SA2 on anything other than an Xbox, and even those versions are bad. I think they should focus a bit more on remaking/remastering those games bc we know what happens when they didn't focus on those remasters, they were rushed and poorly optimized. I think they should equally focus on making new games and remaking/remastering their older games.
The issue is that new does not mean better...

No, they can make it work. They would just need to bring on some talented people to do it. You know like how they brought on Christian Whitehead to remake the Classics because he proved to be that talented and capable of doing it, so they bright him on. What if they got ChaosX to do it? SA1 I get because the game was very unpolished. Great concepts. Just not able to execute properly. SA1 for sure could use a remake to polish all the bugs.
SA2 problem wasn't execution, it was concept. The playstyles, how they removed the series core rolling mechanics and streamlined the gameplay to be more hallway like. It was all deliberate, a predecessor of the boost style to come. To remake that game would be like making a new game.

If they won't make a remake of Sonic Adventure 1 or 2 then they should make a de facto "3". That title doesn't have to be "Sonic Adventure 3", but it needs to have a serious story like 1 or 2 and a system with lots of playable characters. And if there is a Chao garden, it would be perfect. But they will think: "That's the old system, and I don't think it will work in today's market". I understand that, and I'm not sure that an ancient system like SA1/2 would work in today's market. However, most Sonic fans agree that SA2 is the best game in Sonic series, and that is true. Indeed, Sonic Frontiers has grown and changed the image of Sonic. It is truly a success. What I propose is an open-world game like SA1 or Frontiers, with a serious storyline, a large number of playable characters, and to top it all off, a Chao garden, and I have no complaints. Don't you think that an open world and a Chao garden are a perfect match? This is something I've been thinking about for a decade and Frontiers has done half of it, but I never actually got to my fantasy. Yes, I realize I am being selfish.
The new things are great(sometimes) but I feel like remaking SA2 would help with figuring out what Sonic is, how his gameplay should be, what could be tweaked and fixed from SA2, ect.

Depends on how desperate they are. They sacrifice other smaller developers under them whenever they screw up. They scrap a lot of projects too. Sega doesn't know how to handle money.

The first Sonic Adventure was way better. We need the first Sonic Adventure as a remake! I mean we legit had an open world that let us go to 3 different areas with puzzles to solve! I would love to have the first one and 2nd one as remakes. Mostly the first one since it's an open world with 6-playable characters.

The new things dont hold a candle to the old sonics 3 and knuckles was the best of the classic 16 bit and adventure 2 best of the 128 bit

I want sonic adventure remake, with restored levels, or completely new levels as sonic and others, playable Tikal, to make this game not so short, and sa2 remake with chaos emeralds on special stages instead of auto collecting (bad ending opportunity) shadow with SHTH abilities like chaos control or blast by killing different enemies.

While I agree, I think what's annoying people is that they keep going back to the wrong old things. They keep bringing back Classic Sonic and Green Hill Zone and then they remake the Classic games for, like, the 7th time and they made a shitty remake of Sonic Colours but the Adventure games haven't even been touched since 2003. Those games are regarded as some of, if not, the best in the series and it would be so easy for SEGA to remake the games and they'd get so much money for it, it's almost guaranteed to make a fortune and the fanbase have been asking for it again and again and it could just work so well, bevause if they re-release the Adventure games, they then have a perfect excuse to only now be making Sonic Adventure 3. But of course, SEGA are just being completely blind to it as they have been to almost everything lately.
Also, the only original thing they've done recently is Sonic Frontiers but even that borrowed things from previous games like using Green Hill, Chemical Plant and Sky Sanctuary again, not to mention the level layouts ripping off older stages like Green Forest or Windmill Isle. And Superstars is bringing back Classic Sonic again, though granted that is branching off from traditional Classic Sonic again, but still.
