I've never been one to care about a game having a lot of collectibles you have to go back for after learning something new, I'll do some, but then I want to finish the story, then I finish the story and don't feel like randomly running around what I've already been through a lot
The big thing you're doing wrong is too much dodging not enough parrying. For a lot of creatures (non-humanoid) a parry will make them immediately vulnerable.
@@Connor-kh8sh - You mean Sekiro/Bloodborne, *not Dark Souls.* Parrying is massively important in Bloodborne, it's the entire reason you have your gun. Dark Souls is the game where you constantly roll around bosses to dodge everything and get backstabs.
TheMrVengeance dodges seemed far more important in Bloodborne then in Sekiro in my experience but yeah the same rule applies. Parry more often than dodge in this game.

@@Rawnblade13 They're talking about how you can't destroy anything and the power factor is incredibly lacking. The last Force Unleashed game was released nearly a decade ago and you were able to toss around and destroy troopers and objects in extremely satisfying ways.
@Super JLK Humanoid means 'like-human.' Spiders, bog rats, the troll like things, etc. are not humanoid. I don't think you fight any non-human humanoids, so I really just mean humans.
I really appreciate the editing on this one. Having both completed the game myself and watched half a dozen others start it(MATN, Jesse Cox, etc). I'm glad I didn't have to watch the entire introduction over again, but still got to see Dan's take on it

Love the reference to the flight simulator videos. I also love how he turned down the volume when he was talking about the rain, he’d always talk about that sort of stuff but I could never hear it.
Btw Dan if you press LB right before the troopers with the melee weapons attack you, you do a parry which is super useful in this game, similar to deflecting a laser.

took less than the three hours I managed to magically lose once I'd finished reinstalling origin this morning for me to fall absolutely, head over heels in-love with this game. not only is it the nest Star Wars game to come out in the last 14 years since the real battlefront II was released.
Legit just completed this game and immediately came to watch this video, cause I didn't want any spoilers. The game is fucking awesome, by the way. Highly recommend it, and I'm not even a massive fan of the Soulslike genre.
Hey dan just a little tip for the future of the game you can parry just about any attack that dosent flash red and use force abilities often especially the slow one you get good at using that any boss is easily beatable
Got to say, watched Jesse Cox and co beat Oggdo Bogdo (Davis playing?) before even getting the droid. While I've never played Dark Souls or any souls like game...the lessons from watching those play throughs seems to be: aggression is rewarded with death.
I cheesed the Oggdo Bogdo fucker so hard. Turns out it cannot go through the entrance you get to it but you can hit it and run back in the safe zone. It only took me 20-30 tries of suffering to figure this out.
i did the exact same with oggdo bogdo. Fighting him instantly and failing a lot but i just kept saying to myself just one more try and after about 20 tries managed to kill him without having the heal it was infuriating but satisfying when it was done.
