This channel is solid gold. Bob Ross meets Red Foxx doin crafts!
Now that's a new combination! LOL! I take that as a big compliment. Thank you very much for checking it out!
Awesome comparison. I LOVE listening to his voice when I'm in the mood to learn something new, but don't want to hear someone screeching about don't do this or do it my way, etc. Lots of love and blessings on Christmas Day!!
You put it perfectly! I just found The Crafsman's videos and love his voice & creativity! I'm inspired now to go make my own little found parts robot ❤ Thanks Crafman, keep on creating!
You should consider narrating a book, your voice is so calming.
lmao I came here just to say something very similar to this
Best comment of the day😂
i love the way “The CrafsMan” whispers 😂👌 got that Bob Ross tone to it 💯
I was thinking Cajun Bob Ross all day.
Best video on silver soldering I've seen. Simple but accurate and complete.
Subbed in the first 10 seconds for the voice alone.
Crafsman you deserve a METAL for this one!
HA! I gotcha, Taylor! ;) Thank you, my friend.
A GOLD metal.

My Man… With infinite love and gratitude, thank you for sharing your wisdom and knowledge with us at least the ones that like to learn. First time , hearing you …searched up best way to solder metal and aluminum because my aluminum head gasket and my metal valves on my compressor broke. and your video was the first one to show up. And I was hooked as soon as I heard your voice… What a beautiful soul you are, it is so pleasurable to sit down and listen to you explain in detail how you go about soldering, that short video I learned something you that I will be using and I already subscribed before the video was over. Once again thank you very much… Let me say this… i’m Sure that’s many subscribers that you have I’m not necessarily interested in learning how to solder, but more for listening to your soothing beautiful voice that you have… Lol God bless you.
Wow. My man I just have to tell you THANK YOU tremendously for such an incredibly uplifting comment. Major bigtime this means a lot to me. I was just telling someone else these words are *valuable*, and I offer my sincere thanks for you taking time to boost someone else today. And thank you for giving one of my videos a chance. It's hard to stand out on RUclips but man people like you come along and the "numbers game" and all that jazz doesn't matter. These comments from wonderful individuals like you are priceless.
"Or, if ya got somewhere to be.."
lol man I love the Crafsman
😂 Haha! Well, people steady busy nowadays. ;) Thanks for watching, skoockum!
I was laughing out loud for sure. Great video and presentation.
Thank you for being so chill in a loud world. It means a lot
This is the exact video I've been seeking. Craftsman, you're a credit to your art and the community! Thank you!
I went searching for soldering/brazing videos and came upon this gem of a video. It's as if Bobby Bucher found love in metal working. I'm so entranced :)
Crafsman, your videos have become my go-to positive coping skill whenever i’m feeling stressed or agitated. your creativity and calm demeanor help me feel better. thank you
This means a lot to me!
My new favorite. He channels Bob Ross. I may never pick up a torch, but I'll listen to this voice all day.
I honestly I love what you are doing with all your small antiques you have found --- sure hope you haven't stoped --- this vid was 5 years ago thank you
You are the Professor of crafts Crafsman!
I love your creations.
Thank you for explaining a pickle!
Everybody uses one but nobody ever said what it was before!!
You're welcome, Patty! I've noticed that as well. I think most people use the commercial one you buy and mix with water. I read up on some more natural alternatives, and this one works well for me. :)
Omg, you've got thing going being a host with south accent like that , it's calming , soothing the affections are blissful, all while speaking my language of metal work and craft. TY.
So happy to hear that, Bob! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Simply wanted to tell you that crafting is just one of your talents. Provably you have heard this before, but the way you communicate is simply a real genuine talent. I wish could be more people around us with such talent. I have remain stuck watching and listening your videos don't know for how long , and i really feel like I should thank you for such pleasant time.
Richard, thank you so much for the kind and encouraging feedback. This means a lot to me.
Man! You’re the Bob Ross of soldering! Love it. Been searching 100 videos trying to learn how to do this and finally found one. Appreciate it!
I love your tutorials. You have the most therapeutic tutorial voice on RUclips. Keep up the great work!!
Soft spoken southern drawl, perfect for reading me a bedtime story. I found this video very informative for crafting metal items. Thank you very much for the contribution. I needed some help repairing my metal bird cage and this fit the bill.
This is one of the best “how to” videos I have ever seen. Your soft spoken delivery is perfect and your “how to” techniques are outstanding. I thank you so much. 👍👍👍👍👍
Sir, you are a great teacher and artist. I am so happy I found your channel. And look forward to viewing all your back videos.
Thanks again for all your hard work and devotion to your craft.
Friends, remember to use a vent hood or use a respirator mask. It's not a good idea to breathe too much burnt flux. I used to solder in a poorly ventilated area and got very painful pleurisy for several days (turns out I'm sensitive). And remember to wash your hands if using solder containing lead.
GOOD POINTS, sir! I should have included a segment in the video about respirators. In all of the soldering videos I've seen, I've never seen anyone using a mask, but I did end up getting a mask for when I'm in the shop soldering for long periods at a time. I edited my description to include links to the mask and cartridges I use.
TheCrafsMan SteadyCraftin Thank you, sir! It's not a big problem for most people, but some are more sensitive to the flux than others.
I'm glad you said something, my friend!
i bought a cheap broan bathroom fan and attached 10 ft of vent hose and ran it out my window. easy to rig up a few sheets if aluminum or what-have-you to direct the smoke to the fan. 50 cfm works good. 15.00 at home depot.
Valse Music: which respirator mask should I buy?
NIce. I slivered soldered thousands upon thousands of carbide tips on saws. Brought back memories. We used oxygen/acetylene and a #000 torch tip. Black flux always worked good for us. Love your creations. Keep up the good work.
I love the skeleton key parent-and-child statue!! What a beautiful piece, I'm always in awe as to how creative you are, Crafs Man!!!
'' where the heats goes silver flows '' Excellent explanation !
I love the motorcycle! Great tutorial!
Thanks so much! :)
Instablaster.
I like your whispery clear voice. The demo of the strength of silver solder was impressive and informative. Now I'm gonna do some.
TO COME TO THESE EARLIER STEADYCRAFTIN VIDEOS, PROVES WITHOUT QUESTION HOW MUCH AND HOW VERY FAR THE CRAFSMAN HAS COME AND GROWN!!
THIS PLATFORM ( VIDEO PRODUCTION/SHARING/INTERACTION) WAS CREATED FOR INDIVIDUALS LIKE THIS INCREDIBLE TALENT!
Hey, thank you so much for this! I mean it. It's encouraging.
I call this piece, (9:21) "The Key to Happiness"
Anywho, thank you, oh so much! I've been wanting to learn welding, but the cost is prohibitive for my current financial state. You introduced a new whole wide world of creating for me, thank you! It's perfect for the small projects I have in mind.
Pure Gold: this voice is Golden. Love it and the little creatures he creates!
You ROCK Crafsman! Someone needs to get you a TV show, cause you're like the heir apparent of Bob Ross! Love watching your process and I love the finished product! Please keep doing your videos and keep making metal sculptures! They are as unique and awesome as you are!! :)
That is a tremendous comment, and means so much to me! Thank you for keepin' on watching, and taking time to encourage me!

@@belindapaul9828 I keep mine in a crockpot on low, but it doesn’t have to actually be hot. It just makes it work faster. I usually leaves things in for 20 minutes or so.
@@esalenchik Hey, thanks - that's super helpful.

I've always been intimidated to solder, but your technique and video explains it so well I'm gonna give it a try. Thank you CrafsMan! PS - Love the creative whimsy you bring to your sculptures. Allen wrench motorcycle handlebars!!! Brilliant.
Rebecca, thank you so much! I felt the same way about it before I started. Still have more to learn, but glad I gave it a shot. :) Thank you for the comment!
I felt the same way Rebecca - it was Craftsman's calm and patient instructions that convinced me to buy a soldering kit and start practicing! Love you Craftsman!
How did the soldering go for you?
cleaning and fluxing ARE EVERYTHING, glad you made that so clear. great project
Glad you liked it, Patrick! Thank you for watching!

Hahaha! Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it, sir! Thank you very much for the kind comment.
wow your voice sounds like a kind grandfather telling a bedtime story it's so smoothing!
Actually, his voice sounds 30 years younger on this 4 year old video - so you can hear the amount of voice acting he puts in the recent vids.
I'm so glad you're back. It's been a while! LOVED this video, and now you've got me anxious to try this technique. Thanks again!!!!!!!
Thanks, Jennifer! Hope you enjoy the process. Get you a respirator mask - I didn't show this in the video. :/ Be safe, and have fun!
I have been tinkering with little welding projects since welding has been my career for nearly forever. This is a really cool option. Thanks for posting it.

Hi,
Just subscribed!
I love doing metal art and have done many, many pieces out of copper, brass and steel.
When I retired I started making sterling silver jewelry and even cutting my own semi -precious stones to set.
As time went on my eyes started to fail but I didn't want to stop doing something I love to do,,,work with metal.
I searched to find someone I could learn from to make pieces that were not as "intricate" as making jewelry settings and found exactly what I was looking for!A man named George Goehl!
He has tons of free videos on RUclips and also instructional CD's that you can buy very cheap!
As you know,,,silver soldering is a form of brazing and brazing with bronze rods is much cheaper then buying silver solder. The only difference is that brazing takes more heat. So,,,I started brazing a few pieces and then after viewing more of Georges videos learned how to gas weld and how to fuse steel.
I've gotten away from doing my metal art and you are just the inspiration I needed to get back at it again!
You are a VERY talented/smart man and I thank you for just being you!
If you would like to see a few of Georges videos here's a link to his RUclips videos. It won't cost you anything but time and you may like what you see as I did!
gsegmedia.com/?page_id=2877
Thanks for this great,inspiring video!
Tom
Hi Tom! Thank you for subscribing! I'm looking at some of Mr. George Goehl's videos now. (One on texturing, actually!) These are really informative. Thank you for sharing, and for the kind words!
I hope you enjoy Georges videos as I did.
One of the easiest and most fun pieces is a "round to it".
People always say,,,,when I get around to it,,,so you hand them one of these!
I made this one out of steel coat hangers!

Wow! I really enjoyed this video. I'm a retired senior handy lady exploring RUclips for interesting crafts now that I have time. I have soldered with copper but this video has opened a whole new world. Thanks
Thank you so much for making this video!!! I have been tryinggggggggggggg to get the solder to stay and in the joint and now I know how.!!!!
So glad you found it helpful! :D
Bob Ross and Morgan Freeman with hint of ol skool playa and you have the Craftman. I subscribed instantly just because of your voice, then I learned something and laughed at the same time.
Woo! Another CrafsMan vid! So happy :) Really inspired me! I'm definitely going to keep my eye out for nuts and bolts and other metal scrap and give it a go! Thanks mate!

Dan, I appreciate that comment! Thank you for watching!
New Crafsman video? Time to watch it multiple times!
Hey Crafsman I think putting "yourself" in your videos was awesome, and would really help with distinguish you if you started doing it again!
Thank you! And yes, I need to do that. ;) Probably should have done that in this one to illustrate the use of a respirator/mask. :/
Your voice is soothing I could watch this for hours
Thank you Crafsman.
You're very welcome, NizzyAmps! :D
2 things:
1. This is fantastic instruction! This brings back lessons from jewelry making class in high school so many years ago.
2. Makes we wanna start sipping on some 'shine.
Take care and be safe!
Terrific! I thought I'd need a MIG welder to this! I've always admired seeing "nuts & bolts" sculptures and thought I'd enjoy making them.
I've an O2 tank and acetylene tank, along with the associated gauges, and torches, which, in the past, I've using for brazing copper shapes (e.g. butterflies, mayflies) al la George Goehl (also on YT), but your very well demonstrated use of silver solder is such an easier process of (small) metal joinery.
Again, TERRIFIC!!
So glad you enjoyed it! I wanted to keep it as straightforward as I could, for people wanting to jump right in. It's a satisfying feeling to hear when someone really got something out of it. Thank you!
Thanks again.
I would REALLY enjoy hearing you read "Brer Bear/Brer Rabbit" - your would be great for that!
Man.. you got the best voice for this. Great work
OMG! I love your videos you are like the funny Bob Ross of youtube. Watching your videos always makes me feel better if I had a tough day. I especially like the , "Hello!" when presenting a new character. My daughter and I went around saying, "Cabachon!" for weeks, everyone thought we were nuts! LOL HA HA HA
:D :D :D And thank y'all for watching my little videos! It sure means a lot to me to know that people get a little joy from something I put out there. "Cabachonnnnnnnnnssssss". :D :D
Ha ha that’s the way we say it now and we’re here in England 😊 love the videos and I’ve shown all my friends... thank you
Yes total ASMR...so unlike my own LOL

Glad to hear that, my friend! Thanks so much!
Bobby Bouchet, silver solder from the devil! XD Great video.
Oh man, I love your creativity! It's like you be lookin at some junk, but to you it's not junk, it's a robot, or a person, or whateva you wants it to be. You keep that jawn fresh!
"Where the Heat Goes, The Silver Flows!" should be a Legal Maxim, or a Psalm, a Proverb, a Amateurverb (not errbody verbs is Pro-quality) or a Fable. Maybe a Parable or just a Singleble would do. I just think it makes enough sense to get it in out of the rain. Oughta be engraved on a Courthouse or Pew or something. Its dog gone brilliant in my book. Well done.
MY MAN! :)
I joined this channel just for the voiceover. I wanted to learn about concrete, but I'll watch anything you teach...
Im so greatfull to stumble across your channel, you are such a cool dude, with amazing craftsmanship, and a hint of a snoop dogg voice 😊 new sub from me 🙏
Thank you so much! Glad you found my channel! :D
Thank you for the vid. Your instructional vids are the best I have seen in all my years of jewelry making. 👍😎
Fan theory: The Crafsman is actually a hero, after a terrible battle with their nemesis, destructo, battle which left the crafsman barely alive and badly scarred and disfigured (which is why we never see their face), the crafsman retreated to a cabin hidden in the woods to perfect the art of craftsmanship and build a mighty weapon capable of taking on destructo.
You may be surprised at how accurate a portion of this theory may be. ;) LOL!
The Crafsman is totally comedian Mitch Hedberg. Think about it - if you dare!
Wait. Wasnt the the unabomber story? Lol
You have an absolutely magnetic video!! Very informational as anyone knows you have extreme wisdom and highly experienced hands!!! Inspired me to NO end!!! Love it!!
Crafsman, another great video. But to be honest, if my wife catches me using her Crock-Pot it's gonna be me that's in a pickle!
Keep on doin' what you're doin'.
LOL! Outstanding comment! 😂 Thank you for watching! See about getting you a used one from the thrift store. ;)
