I really hate it when the fanboys try to say that one brand is better than the other. It's just not true. If we're comparing the X-maxx to the kraton 8s, the X-maxx is definitely more durable out of the box. If we're comparing the E-revo 2.0 to the kraton 6s, I'd say they're about equal to each other. They both have weak spots. If we're comparing the UDR to the mojave, the mojave is definitely more durable out of the box. Neither brand is better than the other. They both have weak spots.
Nice ramp😂👍🏽 I had to get a metal ramp for this beast. It kept destroying it. The car is heavy. So I got a one and down freshpark launch ramp that can hold up to 800lbs. Nice pulls too. 👍🏽
After all the time you’ve had with all the Arrma 8s rigs do you prefer the 800kv motor for general bashing? I just picked up a k8s exb while they were on sale before Xmas. Still torn on what kv motor to go with. I’ve been happy with the Spektrum motors in all my rtr Arrma 8s rides but figured I’d go to a bigger motor for this roller build. Was torn between an 1100kv or a 800kv to pair with a max 5. Would appreciate your thoughts on it. Thanks and hope you had a good Christmas.
Great looking Kraton love but you can tell it has some more weight to it next is change fluid and maybe 6 piston for shocks and on Arrma website the sell stronger springs or longer for all there makes the back of the truck is where u need it. But love it

Have you tried the silicone ear plugs in the center diff or a extremely thick oil? Nice machine by the way. When I get mine I am going to get that same motor and esc from what I have read that 800kv motor pushes 10 hp. Castle creations is right down the road from my house so that is kind of cool especially for warranty!!!

You mentioned that castle ESC's, cannot handle the full voltage of a Lipo high voltage. Do you you if the Hobbywing max5 can handle a Lipo-hv? I have two 4S HV Lipos I want to use. But, I want to make sure I do not fry the ESC.
I have this motor esc combo, but not running the limitless spool just the stock 39t spur that came with my exb. Is this the same spur or should I order the limitless 39t. I will be ordering a 39t pinion mine is just super slow lol.
I am running hobbywing max 5 800kv motor with 34/39 gearing. Also using smc 120c lipo. The batteries get pretty warm when done. Almost hot. Is that normal ? What gearing would you recommend ?
Because the stock arms really aren't that bad... I only went to rpm because my LHS was selling the V1 arms, which are nowhere near as strong as the updated stock arms, and I'm not gonna start ordering from random sites just hoping I won't get the older stock arms

If you are using xlx2 ESC and you use EC5 equavilent or below there is a chance your ESC will burn out. If you like EC connector you need to get EC8 otherwise use 8mm bullet connector or above.

I love my K8S and my MAXX 4s. Both very different trucks but equally fun. Also a huge size difference.

It's a cheap Sky RC set up. I've already broken a blade. Going to install a heatsink and hope that will work for me.

I have 20mil in mine. Mines one of the early 1.5 versions. So I had to install it myself.

From what I've seen other RUclipsrs who used the same skyrc GPS, you have to push stop and read, on your phone. In order to see the top speed.
With the GPS, you have to push track or drag. Then once that is done you push start. After you finish you push read and then you'll see your top speed
Dude I tried that. Probably 10 times when I was out. So I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

Yeah I need to play with it more so I can figure it out. I expected it to be easy so I basically took it out of the box, charged it, and went out.
