I'm rocking a 34T Pinion & 39T Spur, goodness that thing is full of torque. How do you pull off those back and font flips man looks super clean....Dope stuff!
I tried the 34t pinion and it was rowdy, temps were high too. That's what the torque is for, spin those wheels and make her flip! Thanks for the comment bro! 👍✌️👊

Great video I just got me a kraton exb 8s with max5 800kv but I think I want the 1100kv I like it more I have it in my xmaxx n it flys what the top speed you got with your gearing
Mostly the gear ratio prevents the tires from ballooning. I'm running 30t pinion and 39t spur. Other than that, I try not to full throttle in the air, just half to 3/4 throttle. Hope this helps! ✌️👊
Hi there, Im pretty new to RC cars, and i have a kraton 8s exb with the same electronics as the BLX version.. It's already quite fast! But will the 39 spur overheat the motor with a 17 tooth pinion? It already heats up with the stock spur and 17 tooth
With the lower kv motors you would likely need to gear 1 to 1 or close to it. 39/39 would likely be a good ratio for the 800kv. This is just my opinion as I do not have an 800kv motor to test with. 👍👊✌️
Is that Ray Romano secretly running exb ? ( jokes) I’ve been running 34/39 . Super sweet spot. Could go even higher with 37/37. You Probs run cooler jumping up cog or two , especially in grass dude. But some nice jumps all the same.
You can get away with 34/39, but it ran too hot for my liking. I'm assuming you meant 37/39? Either way, I wouldn't even attempt putting anything higher than a 34/39. Running in grass you'd want to stay well into the overdrive gear ratio not closer to 1-1 or even underdrive...that's how you pop lipos and melt solder joints. ✌️

@@bfuproductions castle creations 800kv XLX esc, i haven't mess with the diffs yet (did you do anything to your diffs?), tires it came with and i forget the name of the servo but 8 seconds in on this video shows what i put in there - ruclips.net/video/il9o8oJ82MU/видео.html
@@grc9793 have you ran the castle software and turned up the punch and maybe even advance the timing? Weird.. that combo should be nasty and able to flip no prob. You sure you're running the 39 optional spur and not the stock spur?

I’m definitely going to switch out my 34t pinion to a 32t. I have 3 GCRC fans on the way now. Should be more than adequate.

What temps are you hitting on the motor and ESC? This will ultimately be the best way to gauge your ratio.
