Fun fact: The intelli-crops that Tony mentions in the first film are actually very useful to the entire franchise, as hunger issues are never an issue. Farming is compacted spectacularly, and then those compact farms are then spread wherever they need to be, and used as food is required, all making use of green energy and matching supply and demand. Additionally, before Tony chose to paint his suit the famous "hot rod red" and yellow, he initially chose green, and then blue, as he was inspired by one of his most financially stable and positive enterprises. He always looked forward to watching the crops being collected, and this "Blue Harvest" in his mind was a powerful image before deciding on the final colours he did when he saw different inspiration. Coincidentally, Blue Harvest is also the original working title of Star Wars, which was later obtained by Disney in much the same way Marvel was.

Downey never said that he hated the suit or wouldn't put it on again, just that he couldn't wear it and effectively act. When he was fastened into the suit he was in for many hours, no quick getting out for a bathroom run. He actually made it a point in interviews not to complain about the suit but to say how much he loved it and appreciated the opportunity.
That last point is really funny when you consider how Rachel Zegler complained about having to "wear a dress" on set for hours on end while playing the role of a Disney f--king princess of all things. Sounds like that's exactly what RDJ did not want to do. He understood that making public complaints over wearing an uncomfortable costume for a little while in exchange for the kind of fame and fortune the actual public can't even imagine could easily have ended him (again). RZ did not understand this, and made those comments about wearing a literal f--king princess dress, and did it all without the slightest sense of how unrelatable her plight is to normal people.
Fun fact: Iron man famously was turned into a literal iron man in a 90s comic run. He was captured by a evil wizard, who forcibly inserted a iron bar into his leg to perform the spell: giving Tony the Nickname “Rod Knee”. Fun fact that event was also the origin of Blue harvest, the working title of Star Wars. The original Star Wars!
I remember that run! The iron in his leg reacted with his skin and turned him blue, and to cure himself he needed to find a rare herb deep in the rain forest. Hence the comic's name "Blue Harvest" Which, coincidentally, was also the working title of Star Wars original Star Wars

The plane rescue was a great way to show Tony's ingenuity. But If the armor can travel from Tennesse to Miami in less than a minute, then Iron Man should be able to take everyone from the plane to the ground individually instead of all at once.
I was mainly an X-Men fan growing up but Fox's X-Men movies thoroughly disappointed me with their lack of continuity and lack of respect for the source material. Which is why I fell in love with Iron Man and the MCU from the start. They captured comic book Iron Man and Tony Stark as faithful as they can be and made it work in the big screen. It was marvelous! As a trilogy, the Iron Man movies weren't perfect but they were still a lot of fun in their own way. To this day, I still wish we got more Iron Man movies.
Bit of a brag, I happened to see Iron Man 2 in IMAX , higher than a kite, with my brother. The racetrack scene was incredible, every time he threw his whips down our chests would shake from the subwoofers.
Ike Perlmutter is the reason why Howard was recast, thanks for bringing that up. Also, Howard's behavior on set and off. He seems to have anger issues and has been arrested a couple times for assaulting women, which would've reflected very badly on the franchise. One question, Howard is noticeably taller than Downey, so how would it have been explained that he fit into the suit in IM2? And Downey getting paid $10 million for IM2 when IM made $585 million, much credit going to him, sounds fair.
While we are on the topic of Ben’s incredible talent at producing entertaining edits, one thing that really stuck out to me is at 38:00 as James and Maso are going on a little tangent about the shitty billionaire guy, Ben includes footage from the Dark Knight Rises of rich people being thrown out of their homes. It’s specifically the shot in the movie when Bane is narrating his big prison speech and he says “the powerful will be ripped from their decadent nests and cast out into the cold world we know and endure”. I only know thats because TDKR is my favorite movie of all time and I just thought that was a easy to miss but hilariously subtle bit to include. Bravo Ben, I see you.

Fun fact: Reason why Terrence Howard left is he wanted a salary as big as RDJ since he would've wore the suit in the first movie (as War Machine), but he reportedly was too big to fit into it.
The funny thing about the Elon Musk, Tony Stark comparisons is that the only point where they are in any way similar is before Tony becomes iron man, and is just the worst
whats funny about iron man 2 is this thing is slowly poisoning him and tony isnt smart enough to just not use that anymore. just hook himself up to a car battery again for a while until he can find an alternative
Fun fact: not a lot of people know that they were actually going to have the Iron Man Suit be Blue and Gold, instead of the usual Red and Gold. Due to how much blue screen was used, a Blue and Gold suit would've been easier to digitally alter. But they weren't able to get enough blue dye for the material used for the suit. They even set up a whole farm of snails in order to procure the dye needed but we're unable too. Because of this they ended up using the Red and Gold as intended but they did reference this process in the working title for the Movie as Iron Man: Blue Harvest. Which coincidentally is the same working title of the first Star Wars movie, Star Wars (1977)!
Pretty ballsy of Mason to call out James for misspeaking when in the Iron Man the first Iron Man video he was convinced Tony Stark invented "intelli-cromps".

I forget how special the first Iron Man movie really was. Also, the third film was quite good, but it's conflicting because Mandarin is essentially the big baddie for Iron Man in the way that Joker is to Batman. I do remember there was a animated kids show where they had Iron Man as a teenager, and he had this frenemy relationship with the Mandarin, who was also a teenager, but turned into Mandarin with the rings. It was actually well done. Like, this idea that Mandarin needed to be a terrorist or chinese wizard is kind of silly. What makes Mandarin such a capable villain is his powers and representing this world of ancient magic to balance out Stark's cutting edge technology.
you forgot that in 2012 ant man snuck into his suit in the time heist - and then IW he has nanotech covering every inch. i know the timeline would be backwards but still lol
OK, the biggest plot hole in Iron Man 3... which really ruins the rest of the MCU = If Tony Stark had time to build dozens and dozens of extra Iron Man suits, why doesn't he ever give one to Hawkeye, Black Widow, etc etc.
I’m not saying Marvel was wrong to replace Terrence Howard, because I think it had more to do with his presence off screen than on; and it’s nothing against Don Cheadle, he’s a fine actor, but simply as a fan of the films, Terrence Howard was a better Rhodie and it’s disappointing that they couldn’t make that relationship work. I put the accountability on Howard as much as I do Marvel. He tossed away a big future based on his stake in a single film. Sometimes you have to lose a battle to win the war. It’s very shortsighted.
The blue light in the arc is actually a reference to the original working title of the first iron man “blue harvest” which is also the original title of Star Wars episode 4
You should do a Caravan Of Garbage on the Ocean's Eleven trilogy. Plenty of stuff to discuss there including the reboot with Sandra Bullock and the original with Frank Sinatra.

James is so old he was in the room when Iron Man was originally created! gottem
5:38 Pointing out sky beams in movies is my favorite hobby. Bonus points for video games too. It's an amazing cliche.
I JUST rewatched these and thought to myself ‘Man, wouldn’t it be funny if their next CoG was of the Iron Man videos in one?’ Welp guess I’m watching them for the 4th time.
All the suits combine into one SUPER Iron Man. 🚀💯
Terence Howard is now trying to convince us he is Tony Stark with his 1+1=2
I love it when former Restaurant workers expose themselves by casually dropping niche terms like FIFO
Yeah! I watched these when you originally put them out. And yeah! Since you put them together, I watched them all again. Good job.
28:22 his impersonation of SLJ is ridiculously hilarious😂
i thought i couldn’t love this chancel anymore and then ben plays pikmin music
Fun fact: Reason why Terrence Howard left is he wanted a salary as big as RDJ since he would've wore the suit in the first movie (as War Machine), but he reportedly was too big to fit into it.

"like you, it's better that I remember it being"
damn what backhanded compliment to say to your best friend
Should have said this sonner, you 2 are the only reason I watch RUclips, BEST CHANNEL EVER😊
I feel like there's never enough talk about how badass it was when Tony shot through the chest of that one guy.
The best MCU music was in that first Iron Man as like his triumph theme. Never heard it again.
People always said RDJ was a gamble, but even when he was partying he always nailed his roles.
The funny thing about the Elon Musk, Tony Stark comparisons is that the only point where they are in any way similar is before Tony becomes iron man, and is just the worst
Accept Tony got laid a lot and Elon definitely hasn't in a while
Jackson seems like such a cool fucking guy 😂😂. Dude wasnt even upset they stole his likeness 😂
whats funny about iron man 2 is this thing is slowly poisoning him and tony isnt smart enough to just not use that anymore. just hook himself up to a car battery again for a while until he can find an alternative
I like that Whiplash going nuts over making Tony bleed is revisited in Infinity War when they make Thanos bleed
Stark was publicly knowing to be Iron Man in the comics back in the early 90s
Scarlett looks _very_ unhappy in that behind-the-scenes. Ouch.
Through that discussion they are basically saying her character development comes from her outfit not her acting.
The fact that you guys brought up "robot jox" tells me that we just officially became brothers.... Now send your new American brother some a that nasty vegemite🤣🤣
It's thanks to movies like this and Battleship that AC/DC could be one of the highest grossing bands for years when they didn't released an album or do a concert.
I stumbled on the turtles garbage review and now subscribed to this Chanel.Ita the only review video I've saved ... I feel like these guys are tapped into my brain sometimes 😊
Maybe the real blue sky beams were the friends we made along the way
you forgot that in 2012 ant man snuck into his suit in the time heist - and then IW he has nanotech covering every inch. i know the timeline would be backwards but still lol
No, antman originally snuck into his armor in Civil War. He says something along the lines of “it’s me, your conscience, we haven’t spoken in a while”
The over-enunciated "hacks" over a picture of Mike and Jay. 😅
Hack frauds!
Iron man 3 is one of my favorite mcu movies and I will not have my mind changed.
HOWARD THE DUCK IS NOT TRASH! TIS a MASTERPIECE!!!!!
I love how at the mention of New Line the Mortal Kombat theme just starts blasting
Iron man 1 is the best because it doesn't require any watching of any other movies, not part of any sagas etc
agreed.
Captain America was shot on digital before Iron Man 3
OK, the biggest plot hole in Iron Man 3... which really ruins the rest of the MCU = If Tony Stark had time to build dozens and dozens of extra Iron Man suits, why doesn't he ever give one to Hawkeye, Black Widow, etc etc.
He’s a prick?
Never noticed that Jeff Bridges burns his finger on the cigar when he gets off the segway 16:38
So excited to watch a compilation of the videos I've seen multiple times for the next hour 😄🤙
The blue light in the arc is actually a reference to the original working title of the first iron man “blue harvest” which is also the original title of Star Wars episode 4
Low effort comment
Once again, I was about to start rewatching these videos and saw that they had been condensed into one video. Good timing!
The "Elon Musk is a terrible human" bit just hits harder today
I love it when Ben gets the last word in via the edit. Especially when he calls James and Mason on their errors.
You should do a Caravan Of Garbage on the Ocean's Eleven trilogy. Plenty of stuff to discuss there including the reboot with Sandra Bullock and the original with Frank Sinatra.
