Update- It looks like Adobe has removed Edit Multiple Frames from the timeline in the 2024 version...Very Weird. You can now find it in Control>Timeline>Edit Multiple Frames, or with Alt Shift E.
It's actually still there! You just have to change your Workspace to "Classic" instead of the default "Basic" Workspace is under Window, near the bottom! I hope this helps anyone who was confused like I was :) Edit: Also, thank you so much for this tutorial, it helped so much ;-;
What the other Adobe tutorials and Main Channel teach me in half a year for me unsuccessfully, you teach me how to use it in only 20 minutes successfully.
This is hands down the best tutorial I’ve seen on any creative software. Actually amazing that this is free on the internet for anyone to watch. You sir, are amazing, thank you!
Brother, I am Turkish and I watched Turkish videos and I could not understand anything, but even though I did not know the language in your video, I was able to start progressing in the program thanks to this video. Thank you very much.
This has to be the best tutorial video I have ever seen. I wasnt confused at any point, neither did I feel I needed to pause and replay to understand, and the your voice and style is super clear... Thanks for the crash course :)
Even though this looks like a pretty normal tutorial, you have covered lots of interesting detail and simple ways of animating which is really nice and absorbing for beginners. Well done! The greatest animator of all time.
As someone who learnt macro media flash in depth over 20 years ago, this video tells me exactly what I needed to see how the tool has evolved quickly thank you!
This was genuinely such a well made and helpful tutorial!!! I was able to follow everything you were saying and nothing was too complicated, I wish all tutorials were like this
One addendum (because this really tripped me up when keyboards made this change): For F5 (add frame), F6 (add Keyframe) and F7 (add blank keyframe), The user needs to make sure that the keys are in “Function” mode, By either holding the function key (fn) on the keyboard when pressing the keys, Or making sure the keys are “function locked” (either by hitting the function lock key or changing it in settings) Otherwise the keyboard will do the alternate function listed (usually volume up/down and the like) This really tripped me up when keyboards started moving away from function keys having dedicated functions, so I hope it helps someone else avoid my learning troubles!
I used to be obsessed with Flash when I was younger, making stick man animation. I just upgraded my Adobe package and see I have Adobe Animate, excited to get stuck into it for the new year.

I have access to Animate but was too lazy to try and learn it. This is pretty easy to follow and will help a LOT with making my animation channel look more like an animation channel lol. Thanks!
I've been wanting to be and OSC animator since 2018, but I've had a hard time trying to follow along with the other tutorials since they're fast paced. This video will help me a lot during this process!
The lesson was so clear and well planned out. I found it so helpful. I can’t believe this is free! I just got Adobe animate and just started learning animation, and after watching this video I feel so motivated and excited, Thank you for your dedication to teaching and desire to help others.
I will be taking an animation focus class next semester (Spring 2025). I'm familiar with animation principles and some programs in general but have never messed with Adobe Animate before. It seems like Adobe Illustrator but jacked up. This tutorial will definitely be helpful when I start my course. Thanks!
That was awesome thank you. I study Web Design and Development but I have to put it on pause because the doctors found a 7 x 9 x 9 in mass behind my eye. I can't imagine myself studying to make websites if I have a short time here. I decided will learn animation and make short clips to evoke my emotions. This is the first video I found and it helps a lot. It's thorough and straight to the point. I get headaches and this makes taking in the information easy. Thanks for sharing. I hope to make cool things.
@manalfatima8884 yeah, I'm recovering fine now. I am continuing my studies. Thanks for liking my comment. It reminds me where I was not even 2 months ago. It's insane.
God bless you son. I just bought my first drawing tablet, a Huion 11K V2, and I couldn't wait to get at it! I already have the Adobe suite with Animate cc so I figured I was ready to go. Yeah, about that. Way too confusing at first. I watched a few other videos but they only made me want to cry since they all seemed to be under the misconception that we, the viewers, already had some experience with the software. You presented your lesson in a way that made it easy to follow and understand. So, thank you. ♥

I'm glad to see that Adobe Animate has a built-in Flash player so you can play your .SWFs offline! I find the options that appear when you right-click the player satisfying - you can disable the anti aliasing, zoom in, scale the image to the size of the window or 100%, show redraw regions, and much more. I would like to know if the current version of the Flash player in Animate still has these options.
You really made it simple for someone who wants to know the basic steps as well as the overall concept of how Adobe Animate works. Really excellent! Thank you! …Rowby.
Very great video! I'm from Harmony and I wanted to move to Animate. It was perfect to learn all the basic features and workflow in bunch of minutes, great job!

I am so happy this is back..I've been using a dead version of flash animation since 2003 on an old laptop to draw any animations cause I just was so used to it *old and set in mah ways lol 😄, and this looks basically the same ... I am so happy right now, I can't wait to get this back and running on my PC 😂

Hey Alex, Thank you SO MUCH! I was trying to find a good tutorial on Adobe Animation but had NO luck until I found you! Your tutorials are so engaging and easy to follow! Thank you again:)
Amazing crush course dude! really amazing. But the mind blowing part is the fact that you use advanced animation techniques just to prove your simple concepts. The way you animated the stem, is bananas! You used anticipations and post animations sooo casualy.. love it :))) The funny part is when people try to replicate your "simple animation" and realize it lools stiff and flat :))) but jokes aside... so so cool. #newsub
thank you so much for sharing! i was struggling to figure out how to use this program as i wanted to learn how to animate. i was inspired off another artist.
Thanks for this video. I want to learn Adobe Animate so that I can make animations for my RUclips channel and in my job as a designer and scientific journal editor. In this video, I feel like you have provided me with a great introduction and starting point. This video is a fairly dense 21 minutes of instruction, but it doesn't feel like it at all.
