I agree. But now all I can hear is how Diddy or whatever his name is now, always has to infiltrate songs, so it makes it a little harder to enjoy it. I didn't notice it so much when I was younger, but now it's super distracting.
If Dirty had taken a vacation to get his focus back after he got out of jail, he still would be alive today. He didn't need to come back to the Wu with all of the infighting that was going on at that time. RZA knew this. He just doesn't want to admit it.
Did you miss the part of this documentary where it said he got signed by Dame Dash on his first day out? He DIDNT go back to Wu until some time later, how you misses that is a head scratcher to me.
@@blackl567892 Still doesn't change the fact that Dirty needed to get away from everything and everyone and get his focus back before he signed ANY contract. Dame or otherwise.

He had a raunchy sense of humor and honesty not only in his music but in his life outside the studio as well! He was definitely a grinder, hustler and provider! Definitely going to miss his hood energy and the ability to make me laugh when listening 🎧 to his songs! Rip!
People say a lot about them Dash but one thing I’ve noticed is he’s very loyal to those he loved. A lot of other people stories in association with hip-hop always references Him being a solid dude. He stands on what he says which is rare
Definitely an icon. He was very transparent, talented and entertaining. Definitely helped poor kids not be so embarrassed about food stamps 😂 SN: I really think ODB had a mental or emotional issue that was consistently overlooked. He didn’t have to die 😩
How is that funny, helping poor kids not to be embarrassed about food stamps? You must have been born with a silver spoon in your mouth, and think your a big shot, because I don't find that funny at all
Heavy D....yes! Prodigy death is/was weird af! Like how you choke and die on an egg while in a hospital bed?! When I found that out I bout flipped out🤬. Just tells you watch your fam while they're in the hospital!
He always seemed like a rollercoaster ride with his high-energy. I actually went back to listen to his music recently and realize how much foolishness he said during his raps LOL but that same style produce hits and that's why he's a legend in the game. Cocaine's a hell of a drug
Behind his eccentricities were some genius lyrics. The Mariah Carey of 'Fantasy' is one of the best remixes, ever. I still feel he was battling some mental health issues, though, and he probably was numbing his pain via the drugs. May he continue to RIP.
ODB did it before Kanye (interrupting a mediocre white lady onstage). #Neverforget In all seriousness dude definitely had psychosis which was made worse by his stay in prison, where he was taunted and abused by guards. Stimulants make schizophrenia and other types of psychotic disorders worse and you can see how he degenerated mentally in interviews over the years due to cocaine use. He tried to get clean but fans wanted that "crazy ODB character" so he tried to live up to it. The entertainment industry is no place for addicts or the mentally ill. It's too demanding.
BarSun aka YDB is cool people's and very talented. I was the original moderator for Killah Priest Wu-Tang Clan podcast. I had the opportunity to meet a lot of amazing people. Good job on this video.

@Mya Hinton Listen, I've been reading up and after seeing a snippet from RZA's memoir. Deffo think he was killed/sacrificed and Rza deffo knows why/what happened.
I love his voice. I've always loved what ppl call "rough and rugged" sounding artists. ODB, Melvin Franklin, and Young Dolph all have wonderful sounds. Trippie Red, Tyler the Creator, and Method Man have great voices too. I just don't listen to their music as much. It's a shame ODB passed so early on. Really sad, especially for his children & family.
I remember when Wu Tang Clan came to Minneapolis, Minnesota years ago, I believe ODB, was locked up or already passed, don't remember but they couldn't sell out the show because he wasn't there, that is a fact!!!777
Got Your Money by ODB is still a banger to this day!!

The fantasy remix featuring ol’ dirty bastard is one of the greatest songs and remixes of all time. His verse was memorable and whimsical.
