    This story hit home. Felt so relatable, as a daughter I am always competing for attention from my mother, and end up losing against my brother. This angle of mother-daughter relationship needs to be explored. Because it is very much real!

      Watched Qala.. Movie was good... But there is a Telugu movie named "Swathi Kiranam" With similar concept and story line released in 1992 itself..i think it was way more risky to pick such concepts then..it is directed by legendary telugu director k. Viswanath... Please watch sucharita...

      Interview was so good... I could see you wanted to talk more but due to time constraints could not... Even I loved the film so much. Just see if you could also interview the people related to the music and the songs of this film, they just give goosebumps while you feel them on film, are so good but at same time have an eerie sense to them, emotional and perfect.

Such vulnerability!!I am already a major fan of Varun Grover and Swastika M but I also enjoyed Tripti and Babil so so much!!!! Great of you to have brought all of them together, will be waiting for an interview with the lyricists ,musicians and other creators of the story. So thankful Anvita exists in Bollywood!!!

    I finished watching it last night and I'm still not over it, that is how impactful this film is. I was thinking about it all day and constantly humming it's STUNNING songs. The film was ethereal, haunting in places and all in all, DIVINE. Amit Trivedi absolutely hit the ball out of the park and same goes for Anvita Dutt. The cast was impeccable, Tripti is truly mesmerizing and so so talented. This film will stay with me for a really long time, perhaps forever.

      @@ananyaaa401 even qala was not that venomous ,she might have thought by using mercury she could outdo babil's character in that night ,that is it. But to her utter ignorance ,that took his voice completely that is what continued regretting through out her journey that her progress as a person had to go through someone's death whom she didn't intend to hurt as the action that she did led to .. hence that guilt created a mental trauma inside her which went on a domino effect which led to her suicide ,also she believed that after babil's voice loss ,her mother might start liking her for her singing but her mother kept distancing her from herself and tried to stop her to go to Kolkata for furthering her music career as deep down her mother also knew if she will go there ,she might fall in prey of a male dominated society which her mother in her young age must have experienced , .. that is why she always told her tum ladki ho gaana nahi. Gaa sakti bhari mahol mein ..such a beautiful movie 🍿🍿🍿 I loved it the best movie i have seen and the phero na Nazar se nazariya song was something else

    • @ananyaaa401
      @ananyaaa401 Год назад +1

      @@satanicomic yeah i never meant that qala was a bad person. it was definitely her mother's lack of affection towards her which drove her to doing what she did. and you're right, i don't think her intentions were bad at all. her mother was just plain & simple pathetic. but qala's deeds are in a bit of a gray area for me, like, i understand where she came from but it was still a fucked up thing to do. this dilemma really has me vexed haha. this film truly is a masterpiece in every aspect, what brilliant artistry! and phero na nazariya is my favorite as well! i do love the attention that shaunq is getting, but i think phero na nazariya & rubaiyaan are even better!

    Loved the movie, it was like poetry in motion. I do have one gripe with the movie I think they could have done better job of depicting music in a accurate way for instance Urmila clapping completely off beat that too on an alaap opening, or Jagan hitting high note without even throat muscles working for that note - For movie this great I would have liked music world building to be more precise. None the less Great movie.

    Im sorry but the movie was overrated. Forcing itself to prove a point or points rather. Dialogues were too contemporary. And Qala could read Urdu but not pronounce it properly and Majrooh had to correct her…..like seriously????
    As an Urdu speaker i can say for sure that is just not possible
    Furthermore, it should be ‘Kala’ not ‘qala’ since Q has a different pronounciation. But the Q is forced in the title to make it the female symbol.

      Anyone who knows how to read a language might not pronounce it as a native does. In that time period urdu was the medium of instruction so eventhough she can read urdu she is still a girl from himachal and would have her accent.
