@@dman535 New Oil-Pump is not anymore available. Oilfilterhousing also not (only for cars with external oil cooler). Check the oilfilterhousing (open it, filter out, bilt in and fill oil in - oil needs to stay inside). Parts for the oilpump itself are still available...

Best engine choice for the E34. M20/M50 is too small and the M60 is unreliable and expensive to fix. M30 FOREVER!

Oilfilterhousing is leaking inside...
I replaced the housing, what is happening is the oil pump clearances have opened up and it's letting the motor loose prime. Needs an oil pump.
