    What’s up guys? It’s Josh Razauskas on my new podcast channel. My first episode is up now. Really good points today as always! The Bubba thing is funny to me. It’s really funny. Jeff, you drainer of joy you. you made really strong points about how prospects are ranked. I never really thought about it that much but I agree with you. There is a flaw in the current system!

    Amazing how people can see the future. Reds are a better team just because of the manager. He knows what he's doing.

    Taylor Ward would absolutely put this off-season at an A. He hit 25 HR and 26 doubles last year in pitcher friendly parks.
    His expected home runs at GABP would have been 35 (30 realistically) and he is very solid defensively and has the color red all over his Baseball Savant page.

      You in fact, do not speak for all Reds fans. Barring him blowing away the competition (Fraley) in spring training, he should start the year in Louisville.

    I am in the minority HOWEVER this roster is BETTER than we think, bc everybody gets better, power from Steer, Elly, TyStev, McClain, so, we gotta get ready 4 FUNSEASON

    If we can at least keep our main guys healthy who were out last year for most/significant amount of time it is a huge uptick in production IMO. BTW we are taking about getting Grichuk. I wonder if we looks side by side with Fairchild what are the comparisons hitting LHers and defence metrics.

    Okay, so I don’t comment on here often, because I’m a bit of a newcomer. After seeing this podcast, I decided I had to strongly oppose something that keeps being repeated and it’s sounding like nails on a chalkboard. It’s this idea that their offseason score is a C or C-. The two of you have had this idea that one player, a power outfielder is going to make all the difference. The greatest acquisition this team made was Tito. Him and him alone gives the Reds a C grade. Add Singer, Trevino, and Lux and that is how you arrive at a B according to Bowden. Sorry guys, I’m with Bowden on this one.
    The reasoning is that an awesome manager alone can add ten wins to the tally. He will inspire these young players to heighten their ceilings, to not be 50/50 players, and to make way smarter decisions from the dugout than Bell ever did. Get a Taylor Ward and we are well on our way, but they’ve done way better than a C grade this off season.

  • @ricknorthcoast5676
    @ricknorthcoast5676 13 дней назад

    Getting Tito, Singer, Lux,Trevino is a solid B.

    Tired of non playoffs being a passing grade for the off season. Tired of starting out the season as a projected 81 win team. I am not down on any of the changes made by Krall, I am depressed by our continuing lack of an offensive force in the outfield. Move Steer to 3rd base and bring in a productive outfielder to fix the offense.

  • @Aaron-fo1sy

    The team is a playoff contender. Especially with expanded playoffs. I’d be more apt to agree with this podcast if it was division winners alone.

  • @jonpark6650

    Because of the Reds lack of upgrading the outfield,
    Elly MUST be moved to CF for the Reds to have any chance to reach the playoffs.
    Elly could potentially be an ALL WORLD OUTFIELDER if he complies
    because Elly has ALL THE SKILLS to be the best OUTFIELDER ever in the Reds organization.

    • @benfullenkamp5750
      @benfullenkamp5750 14 дней назад

      If you're going to move an IF to the OF, why not move a guy who has actually played a post HS season as a CF. Matt McLain.

    • @jonpark6650
      @jonpark6650 13 дней назад

      @@benfullenkamp5750
      IMO I think Matt is a much better IF.
      Last year we did not do many DP's
      with Elly & India in the IF and based
      on Elly's physical astounding physical attributes, if he is inclined to do it,
      I would think his potential to be a
      fantastic OF would have a high ceiling
      because defensively he could use his
      incredible speed and equally incredible
      arm. With Elly's bat it would be an upgrade
      in the outfield as well.

    Baseball of today is focused on the long ball and mph. Pitchers like Greg Maddox and Tom Glavine would not even be looked at today and do not forget about our own Bronson Arroyo who would give a respectable 6 innings every 5th day for years. Pete Rose was not a home run hitter, would he be overlooked today?

    Guys, this off-season deserves a D at best and only because they upgraded at Manager. This is their window to contend and they can't even address the most obvious need they have for a middle of the order outfielder. You can't waste this young staff of studs and Elly and that's exactly what they are doing. No one wins championships with home grown talent only. Small market teams add studs for a year or two when their young talent is ready to win. This ownership group has no interest in winning and this off-season proves it!!!

      Lux had more WAR than India in 2024 coming off a major injury in 2023. The Reds used double digit starting pitchers in 2024 and likely will again in 2025. Getting Singer is significant for depth. The Reds most successful comp pick in the last 10 years (by WAR) is Stuart Fairchild, so I wouldn't cry too much giving up that comp pick and a 3rd Rd pick in Mike Sirota.
