- The AEW dynamite after double or nothing 2024 took place last night and a fair bit happened on the show but AEW has been met with some bad news and some drama as well recently, all of which we are gonna discuss in this weeks dynamite review so like the video and lets talk about it, lets talk about the may 29th AEW Dynamite episode.

A lot of wrestlers were looking for an alternative to Vince. They hoped that Tony was that alternative. Unfortunately Tony hasn't been the kinda boss that some of those wrestlers were looking for. Tony signs everyone and only uses a handful of the people that he signs.
the whole saraya thing on twitter is her trolling. Her match was never scheduled for that week their horrible social media guy mistakenly put he graphic out when it was suppose to happen last night.
Okada was hilarious during that promo segment 😂😂. I thought Swerve vs Osprey was gonna happen at All In but it’s definitely not gonna be a one and done at Forbidden Door

@@Josue-wj2uf Okada is a good wrestler, but this Elite stuff is getting to his head a little. The Young Bucks basically have go-home heat and Okada used that to his advantage to gain heel heat. I saw another comment that said "Okada is a comedy wrestler trapped in a Goat's body." And yes, the Young Bucks tend to be very cringe because they're very egotistical behind the curtain. Brawl Out just proves that/

I think Hook needs to challenge Okada or Ospreay or even try and qualify for the TNT ladder match, not follow the FTW storyline just because his dad held the belt. He deserves better, it's almost like he's being kept in the lower card for no reason.

@@kotabus1937 That's entirely possible, I don't doubt something like that happening. If that were the case, that explains Jericho of all people taking the FTW title off of Hook. I guess they wanted Jericho to "freshen up" a division that's unrecognized. I guess that's their way of saying or trying to prove that AEW - or Tony Khan/Elite rather - can push lower card or younger talent. But I definitely see something like that happening because of rumors of Hook going to WWE.
Why couldn't AEW have two women's matches on the same night? Come on Tony Khan! That's ludicrous you couldn't do that for the sake of the card. The Learning Tree with Chris Jericho. Having a talk segment in the middle of a wrestling card is old news. As old as the 1980s with Roddy Piper and his Pit. It's a waste of television time and we prefer to watch wrestling.

A promotion's world championship is an avatar and extension of themselves. How they book and treat their world champion speaks volume over how prestigious they view themselves.
This isn't even the first Double or Nothing the Bucks delegated the world championship, so they could main event themselves instead. They did the same shit last year too.

The only disappointing thing is that we didn’t get to see MJF on dynamite. He’s the reason why I watch it in the first place I hope they treat him right because I’m sick of the bad booking and yes I know we’re bound to get more of it later down the road.
Aew is so tone deaf we want swerve in the main event, we want an mjf return promo, we want less jericho, we dont want sasha banks promos, we dont want to see o cody w the buckaroos, so wht does tony khan do? The opposite, they wonder why their ratings are plummeting

Why would they unify the world title with a midcard title? That's burying Swerve Strickland more than him being in the opening segment/matches, which BTW doesn't bury him at all. Just because he's not the last match doesn't mean he's not having a main event match. Think Hollywood Hulk Hogan vs The Rock at WrestleMania X8 or CM Punk vs The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29. Neither closed the show but were arguably the main event match. Stop complaining until Swerve Strickland put the title on the line in beginning of a PPV.
I was surprised how they did Skye Blue Vs Mercedes Mone, specially since segments with that kind of reveal would led to some build up but I guess it make sense since it replaced Saraya Vs Mariah match

In my opinion, unifying the international & world title would be the best idea because as of right now having 3 midcards titles is too much and it feels like the international and continental title are pretty much the same so retiring the international title would really help the continental title have more meaning and more wrestlers going after it
Its hard to please fans when they all want different stuff and wanna see the same person over and over again. These people can't decide who they want as the main event and champion or who they don't. This is why pleasing the internet and wrestling fans can be tough and dumb at the same time

I don't know why they scrapped the Mariah May vs. Saraya for Skye Blue vs. Mercedes Mone match, which, let's be honest, no thought Skye Blue had any chance of winning, especially since she's really nothing more than Juila Hart's lackey, but I guess they figure they needed to get the attacker storyline over with as quick as possible.

I haven’t watch in awhile and wanted to give it a chance since Mjf returned and I wasn’t impressed with what I saw and when Jericho came out I just shut it off and didn’t even wait to see if Mjf was on the show apparently I made the right choice.

Yeah they give the fans the best show they possible can, what a crime. Thing is, these wrestlers aren’t doing any spots that they are unwilling to do. Everything is agreed by all parties ahead of it being done.. you make the narrative sound as if TK is telling these guys to do stuff that they're apprehensive about which isn’t true. I’m sure countless of times he’s told guys “you can’t do that that’s too risky” I bet he’s never said “do that or you’re fired, relegated down the card” etc

EDIT: I haven't encountered ANYONE who likes the whole Don Callis Family, not even the "AEW can do no wrong" crowd. It just seems like everyone that they want to use but not as much as the bigger names gets dumped in there with the guy, and attaching Stat's heel turn to him instead of having it be her own thing just killed the momentum for it.

Mercedes Mone is an excellent wrestler but not my favorite. I preferred the result with Willow retaining. I say this because I don't think Mone deserves a title run this early. Willow seemed like she was picking up steam and very well could've carried that title and had a banger against Blue, Mariah May, and many others.

Aew definitly needs to reinvent themselves. Constant booking decisions that make no sense, (why was mox in a title eliminator?) Putting their 50+ different titles on people who recently sign with them ("Hey sign with us we will give you a title immediatly with absolutly no build up!!!") Having their talent do very dangerous stuff at age 50+ (Edge had no reason to do that other then tony going YAAAY SHOCK FACTOR!!!!") Complete burial of their top champion (Why is swerve doing absolutly nothing? Oh thats right so they can give the title to a guy that just signed with the company!!!)
Not to mention the constant mentioning of wwe because they need to rely on that to increase ratings.
