- Last night’s AEW Dynamite was cursed. So much weird stuff happened and I just need to discuss it. This show is of course the go-home show to Double or Nothing 2024, and as I said it was probably one of the weirdest, craziest and most cursed AEW Dynamites ever. So like the video and let’s talk about it, let’s talk about the May 22nd 2024 AEW Dynamite!

Booking your top champion in the middle of the show every week. It's actually sad at this point.
He’s at the top of the hour which is traditionally a very important spot as it’s when people are in theory looking for a new show to watch

@@dapperdavemcf They all had promos and backstage segments in the middle of the show to build to a main event match at the end of the show. Cause nobody important had any business wrestling in the middle of the show, top guys are what keep people watching till the end. Swerve is just an IC champion with a fancier belt.
They beat the poor dude down three weeks in a row since he one the belt. The booking is horrible.

It's crazy that the World Championship just isn't the main point of the show at this point, why was Swerve in the middle of the card?
I don't know but it's a weird thing cuz it's not like it's always been like that even I remember like a couple years ago that John Cena beating the champion will be in the middle of the card or some stupid s***but it never made sense to me

Booking Satnam Singh to main event over your World Champion was certainly a choice.
It wasn't about satnam singh though. It was about the ending where everyone tried to take out Bryan Danielson before the PPV leading to Darby making the save (with a flamethrower no less)
I would agree but I think it led to a better show closing angle and it played into the story. swerve is going to get involved in the EVP takeover angle after double or nothing so things are going to pick up.
I mean in India they would edit WWE Shows so that The Great Khali's match would be shown as the Main Event over the actual Main Event.

Tony’s problem is he always tries to shoehorn some japanese guy into an ongoing storyline. Casuals arent familiar with these legends and if youre gonna insert them atleast build em up with proper builds and storylines

Good wrestling
It was touch and go there but AEW pulled it off, they have successfully made their World Title meaningless.
Boy, how far is Saraya fallen since her she dropped the title. She's been demoted down to Rampage, which might as well be a developmental show, and she barely ever appears on Dynamite, plus she's teaming with scrub now.
I remember people thinking she was gonna be a game changer, I don't remember anything memorable she's done in AEW.

Tbh this is Build to Double or Nothing is not the worst build to a PPV of AEW, the Card is on a human level as well, but the Build for World's end was Mid af, the card looks solid af I am hype for Anarchy in the arena, The world Title match and Ospreay vs Strong, Black vs Copeland hopefully the trios title please be the opener match because the Dynasty Zero hour match for unification match was a banger that I wished was on the main card.

The Malakai Black - Kyle O'reilly match was the best match of that Dynamite & should be the new direction of AEW moving forward. Make it more MMA/Combat Sports based with some sports entertainment in it. Like how MLW & GCW's Bloodsport does it, but their own version of it. Jon Moxley stated that there needs to be more Combat Sports elements to AEW & I 1000% agree with him. Do something unique and different. That whole PWG indy style acrobatics & gymnastics is getting very stale now.

Malakai has go-away heat with me. He's been around forever and has never especially gotten over, yet he's always protected.
Nick Wayne has something going. He does the heel faces really well and can sell if he wants to. I just don’t trust aew booking with a guy like that.

Danielson didn't have a 5 star match till he joined AEW. He's clearly doing his best work. Cause why else wouldn't have a single 5 star match before entering AEW?
My thoughts on some points in the show:
AEW’s diehard fans, or rather Will Ospreay’s diehard fans, seem to care less about if Will’s a face or heel. I, on the other hand, care more, ‘cause he needs to make a decision sooner or later.
Someone said that Jay shouted “Who wrote this s***?!”. Also, welcome back, Death Triangle.
They clearly did Bryan Keith dirty with this 3-Way. Tony Khan seems to only care about the more “popular” wrestlers, such as HOOK, the son of TAZ; and a Japanese legend in Shibata. It also seems like Khan copied that moment in NXT, where Joe Coffey and Wes Lee pinned Josh Briggs at the same time.
Takeshita’s a good wrestler, but I wish he wasn’t aligned with Don Callis.
Has anyone counted the matches between Strickland and Nick?
Tony probably wanted Attitude Era people to mark out for the Brood bloodbath moment.
AEW’s Women’s Division is just too screwy.
I’m at a crossroads with this. Danielson had to take on the TNA Rejects, but it’s hard for me to hate a Darby Allin appearance (and it’s interesting to see Tony Khan without his neck brace). The flamethrower seemed like an Attitude Era moment though.
I just feel bad for the crew that had to clean up that blood flood.

As per Jerciho and TK he booked a 5 year plan in 2019 and never deviated since then. You guys are just harsh on him, when you need to just wait for 2025 for some changes.
