- AEW has over 200 wrestlers and staff signed to the company and with only 4 hours of TV a week it means that a good portion of those workers don’t get regular tv time. But there are many wrestlers on the AEW roster that just disappear months at a time and there are some we haven’t seen on AEW in ages and nobody really knows why. And today we’re gonna discuss a few of those cases so like the video, subscribe and let’s discuss the missing AEW wrestlers who just kinda disappeared.

Yeah, he's done everything one could dream of doing in the business. If anything, he needs to be in the Performance Center, teaching the bigger guys how to use their mass properly in the ring. God knows they'll LISTEN to him there.

Yeah, he couldn’t even walk down the ramp when Jericho introduced him as his parter for his most recent match and all of his action happened in a pre-recorded backstage area. I think his knees are completely shot at this point, kind of like Kevin Nash in his later years. Nash always looked like he was in serious pain just walking to the ring.

I did hear that Jamie Hayter might be back later this year. Her injury was one of those really unpredictable ones as far as recovery timelines. It's been over a year now.
I'm hoping Penelope is also making a return her last appearance so far was doing a ppv stream

I remember hearing about Ford's struggles. Man it sucks. Probably the most devastating reason someone could ever be out of action for. She *did* have a few appearances late 2023 early 2024 as a manager for Kip and Butcher and Blade that was not mentioned in the video, but yeah, no physical activity before or since. Just insult to injury added in her case where she has to mourn and recover at the same time. Devastating, no one should have to go through that.
Yeah, I'm in agreement. No fan of her wrestling, but HOLY CRAP that's one hell of a hand to be dealt. I can only imagine the mental scars will take much longer to heal.
It's too bad, because I really like her theme, "Super Bad Girl." I play it all the time.

Along with Penelope Fore, let’s not forget her husband Kip Sabian. That guy went from winning the first ever AEW match, to sitting in the crowd wearing a paper bag over his head, to feuding with Pac over the International title, to not being used at all on AEW tv despite the fact still being signed to them.
Yes, and I like him. He reminds me a bit of WWE's Adam Rose (someone I also liked).
Other names that belong in the "Why don't we see them anymore?" category are Lee Johnson, Johnny & Taya, and Danhausen.
@SeasideDetective2 I heard Danhausen hates being there and one of these reasons is CM Punk getting fired. Danhausen and Punk are close friends in real life.

If I understand it correctly, one thing AEW is doing differently from WWE is that they aren't forcing wrestlers to travel and perform 5 days a week while accumulating injuries, and they also have more freedom in general.

Big Show could of done lots in AEW. He didn’t have to win the belt. But he could of had fresh new opponents. Omega vs Show could of told a story, he would rather play it safe with Dave Meltzer guys.

She tried to rehab it for a year (hence not wrestling while still being a valet) and then finally had the surgery. That's why she's been completely out of sight for the past 9 months. People who actually know something about wrestling appreciate her. You're obviously not one of those.

I know I am an AEW fan but honestly I USUALLY love Tony Khan's booking style in this regard; there is nothing more fun than when you are 100% sure someone has been released and you did not hear about it and then he shows back up and you go WHOA! (I say "he" because I am always thinking of Kip Sabian, who has done this like three separate times now)
I do not, however, enjoy Ricky Starks being absent from the show for more than one week at a time. Ricky come back :(
Tony has signed a lot of talented people and done nothing with them. What a wasted opportunity. Tony is good at putting together random dream matches, he's not great at telling stories with multiple wrestlers.

This list was BAD. Focused on wrestlers who are out with injury (whether it’s physical, or in Ford’s case, also mental), when there’s COUNTLESS others who’ve disappeared without a trace, some appearing on OTHER companies’ shows rather than AEW.

I've made a list of 169 AEW individuals and/or tag teams, both past and present, ranking them according to how important they've been considered to the company. Madison Rayne is the very last name on the list, and I'm having difficulty understanding that. They made much ado about her arrival, but before long she was being used as just a jobber - and, to add insult to injury, against women who were themselves often used as jobbers! And then we stopped seeing her altogether. Where has she been?
And there are plenty of others I don't think get the airtime they deserve. The Righteous and the Infantry, for example, both should be on TV more often. For that matter, I even miss seeing Brandon Cutler being depicted as a badass. I remember when he had that undeniably awesome ring costume inspired by that of Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat. Then he turned into someone so pathetic he could only gain the advantage by spraying dry ice or something into people's faces.

200 wrestlers? How do you shuffle that many people with only 2 shows a week? It doesn’t make any sense.
I did the math. Before "Collision" was introduced, it was possible to get only 20-25% of the roster on TV each week. Now it's more like 40%...which is a little better, but since the same people tend to return week after week, there are plenty of wrestlers who are lucky to get on TV more than once each year!

The only disappeared wrestlers that I’m most concerned about are Trench and Parker Boudreaux. I haven’t heard from them in... God knows how long and I’m legitimately worried for them.

Hey, was suspended for the in ring accident to Jeff Hardy. I think (Just my opinion) that they are waiting for his contract to expire now that Mercedes Mone is in the company. You see, he made a sexually inappropriate on social media that got him suspended a few years ago before he got married. (One of those young and really dumb things) He apologized and all was forgiven until the in ring mishap. Unfortunately, I think (Just my opinion) that Mercedes doesn't want him there and she has clout. They keep pitching ideas (supposedly) that he doesn't like. He's done some absolutely nothing stuff in the past (While with Chris Jericho) so that's really hard to believe. It's the Mone thing.

Eh, I can't be the only one who couldn't take Jamie seriously as a champion, since EVERY win during her run came down to Britt interfering from the sidelines at the last moment. The belt win, the win against Shida... it was just too predictable. Maybe if it had built to her & Britt butting heads, it would have been less pointless, but cuz they went into that Outsiders mess instead, you just had a "champion" who couldn't stand on her own & barely spoke for herself. And odds are that they won't do it now thanks to Britt's sob story.
