- Two of Heavy Haulage Australia's Big Rigs with a 140 Tonne Pressure Vessell on Board. The Western Star is 650hp and is rated at 185 ton and the back truck is a 1989 Mack Super Liner II with a big 525hp V8. Total Gross Weight 235 ton. These Trucks make easy work of the big load up the New England Hwy.... Big Noises from the BIG TRACTORS!!!
Love the sound of that Mack!

Awesome sound of the westernstar and the Mack! You gotta have at least an caterpillarengine for this kind of work!
haulin' baby!, hauling
Thats a first for my eyes
Where is this, I am thinking a couple of km's north of Singleton on the way to Muswellbrooke. A couple of km's past Mason dew industrustrial area.
I often see wide loads heading northbound and southbound out of Singleton.
Cool vid.
Dave.
If you look carefully at the 27 sec mark, you will see whats called a stiff bar from the front of the second, truck pushing the traller
damn !!! love them superdogs 575hp 610 or 525? i have pics of these rigs very very sharp!!!
@nchayfarmer western star has a straight six cummins and the mack is running a diesel V8. The straight six is putting out alot more torque, trucks have more pulling power than pushing.
@nchayfarmer okay, yes the counterweight means that the mack has the same pushing power as the mack would have pulling, but it is still less powerful than the other truck as far as the numbers are concerned
The mack sound like a helicopter lolll nice
i dont understand how that works, are the two trucks connected in someway? i see driver in 2nd truck. So do they just both keep a constant speed?
wouldnt it make more sense to transport it in smaller sections that dont require monster (but awesome) trucks?
@6V92TA We do the same thing here. Im gonna start making videos soon. But most our hauls are at night due to regulations
@TARDISvision yes the star has more horses and more power but nothing beats that bull dogs low geared torque you can hear it from the stacks
wonder what part of australia this was? and what they were hauling?
@TARDISvision no fuck it dont it has the same amount pushing as it does pulling thats what that weight box is for
Its the tank itself thats heavy, probably empty.
sounds like an helicopter...
Damn yo, just use a train...
Do u even know what steel is? It's an iron alloy made of up to 99.8% iron. The rest is carbon.
not if your travelling 1400 kms
It must be SOOOOO boring just pushing the ass of a trailer like that... ;-) (even with the sweet sound)
man that must be a bitch to turn a corner with.
@Mack10001988 10-4 on that hand
