Yeah if there was any debate that Sakusa was a better spiker then ushijima then. Then it would be completely obsolete once oikawa sets to ushijima. And ushijima would rein supreme.
Well, as they say, no matter how good a weapon is, it can only be as good as the wielder can make it to be, and Oikawa would definitely utilize Ushijima much better than Shirabu could
Yep and that's exactly why Oikawa won't buy into Shiratorizawas philosophy and try to still improve on his own instead of relying only on Ushijima because eventhough they'll dominate Miyagi they'll still be facing top teams in nationals
No the anime wouldn’t end in two Seasons because anime’s have creators so they could go on an VS shiratorizawa and yet beat them because the creators of the anime planned to do that think of it as this if the anime did not have a creator yes shiratorizawa would legit beat the living crap out of everyone but karausno has a chance of beating them because that is what was coded or animated
I just feel so bad for oikawa for never getting to play in nationals, he's a very talented player with very high skill and a monster serve but there's just that one boss he can't defeat to get to the next level...
He's talented... Just not as talented as Kageyama. It's what makes his character so interesting (watch "Toruu Oikawa, The Curse Of The Ordinary" it breaks down a lot of the stuff).
@@LucinaIRL But at that moment he was better than him, the problem really is that Kageyama had Hinata, if Oikawa had Ushijima he would wreck any team other than Inarizaki or Itachiyama in my opionion.
@@LucinaIRLno he is it’s just his skill in bringing the best out in teammates and making them better at what they do whereas kageyama brings out the potential that they already have and make them release that
Kageyama was invited to Aoba Johsai but didn't go, not because he didn't like 70% of the team, but because he heard Coach Ukai was coming out if retirement, Coach Ukai (the old one) led Karasuno to Nationals when Tenma Udai was there. So the plot would be the same but without Oikawa being at Seijou, if they didn't meet in Kitagawa Daiichi, then he still would see Oikawas games and would still play against him in middle school and high school. You dont have to meet someone for them to be your role model.
they would squash nekoma, it was even confirmed by bokuto in the team japan player manga interview special, that Ushijima destroyed Fukurodani whenever they played in Highschool.
Avalac Dude fr bokuto and fukurodani beat Mujinazaka and kiryu (which is apparently top 2 that's better than ushiwaka "highschool") While probably be destroyed by Shiratorizawa and ushiwaka Oh ok so that's why kiryu and mujinazaka got defeated, so kiryu was an top 3 spiker that's better than ushiwaka (highschool) he can spike any toss (yes any toss, he can also spike a bad one without problem.) but his mental is what make fukurodani wins. He's not confident. I just heard from someone, i dont read the manga.
@@vin6665 it was just said by atsumu that kiryu is a better all around player than ushijima but i doubt that though considering how much he & sakusa looked up to ushiwaka. you're right tho on kiryu's mentality holding him back, same could be said for bokuto. but he's seemed to overcome his as shown during the alders vs Jackals match. It could be the same for kiryu but we haven't really gotten much from him, it seems Furudate forgot about him, i was so sad to not see him on the National, but he was probably just left on the side. Cause Aran of all people is there. I think Kiryu & ushijima would be a great attacking force for Japan.
Kageyama wanted to go to Shiratorizawa not Aoba. They would probably accept Kageyama since he was first year and Oikawa 3rd year, so he would be a good replacement when Oikawa will be gone
Kageyama wanted to go to shratorizawa not aoba josai. Aoba josai wanted kageyama but he did not go there cause of his history with his middle school teammates
The thing is Kageyama never wanted to go there in the first place because most of his Kitagawa Daichi teamates we're there which he obviously doesn't have a very good relationship with
@@mangotango2404 If that was the case Eita would be starting still, but he was replaced likely due to his personality and not being as docile as Shirabu. The team has the mentality of "serve the ace," which in my experience means any and all deviation could mean ya replacement.
Nah like I've said in the video, Washijo has been in the coaching game for a while. I really don't see a reason why he would not utilise Oikawa given what he brings to the table
@@silentloud4267 that being said he also benched semi eita who’s been stated to be a much better setter, server (as he was even the pinch server i believe), and receiver. semi has also garnered much more experience than shirabu which wouldve made the team rack up more points but because he had a mind of his own in wanting to also stand out even though he was a setter, he was benched and replaced with shirabu; so it’s not hard to believe oikawa would’ve or couldve been benched as well.
Semi was benched because he wasn't nearly as consistent at setting. Shiratorizawa's coach needed someone who could consistently put a good set for Ushijima. Semi was above average at serving, receiving, and blocking but none of that matters if the ace cant get good sets often. Semi is the better athlete but Shirabu is the better setter.
If Oikawa is already at Shiratorizawa in middle school. I feel like Atsumu Miya would develop the same attitude towards Oikawa like Sakusa did towards Ushijima. It doesn‘t matter whether Shiratorizawa win to Kamomedai or not, because they have to play against Ichibayashi, a team with no information and no future pro player in the monster generation, who won against both Kamomedai and Furokodani. Just dominanted them with 18-25 in the first set
8:44 well without oikawa i feel like this sejouh wouldn't make the semi-finals instead karasuno would rematch date tech and karasuno would still win that's it gud vid.
@@silentloud4267 yea for the 1st interhigh I think sejouh would still make round 3 but karasuno would win strait sets and for round for and 5 karasuno would prob beat senseki and jozenji 2-0 2-1 and then lose the finals vs shiratoriazawa
Also, without Iwaizumi, Kyoutani (one of their best players, but he is very unstable) would be much more problematic during the games. That's because he just listens to Iwaizumi.
@@LeticiaOliveira-hz6ko tbh he might not even join/stay on the team or get to play. he only plays bc hitting hard makes him “feel good” and if the rest of the team were mediocre (NOT THAT SEIJOHS MEDIOCRE I LOVE THEM), he would get less chances to hit and may just quit. also i think it’s motivated a bit by wanting to beat iwa and that wouldn’t happen anymore, either.
Oikhawa in Shiratorizawa would be a menace, not only Ushiwaka would be at his best, the team won't rely on him alone as Oikhawa would use everyone to their best. They would easily be top 4 in nationals.
This most likely shouldnt happen because the more power they have the more overpowered the team will be. Both Ushijima and Oikawa are very good players. Against other teams, they are unstoppable which makes and gives karasuno a hard time. Even if the storyline is changed and they make karasuno win it is obvious it is a small chance due to the fact Shiratorizawa is a powerhouse and that you also have oikawa in it.
this is a really great theory and I really like the idea, but I think that saying 'what if Oikawa and Iwazumi went to Shiratorizawa' would change the whole course of the manga/anime. I think that not having Oikawa and Iwa there at Abajo Sai would turn that team kinda into what happened with Karasuno. As Ushijima says it, Oikawa can mold any good team into a great team. not having Oikawa and Iwa would mean that Hanamaki or Matsukawa would probably be the captain/vice-captain and both their game sense and technique are 3-4 unlike Oikawa's 4-5. not to mention not having Iwa would mean Kyotani (Mad-Dog) would be a loose cannon and ruin the flow and support of the game. (i could go more into maybe Kendaichi or Kunimi but I feel like that's just nitpicking) so by having Abajo Sai being like Karasuno, where they were a really good school but now just suck) would probably mean that they might not go up against Karasuno because the only reason why they did was that Oikawa wanted to play against Kageyama (I'm pretty sure, reading between the lines of Iwazumi and Kendaichi both not knowing and were surprised to see Kageyama). In saying, the quick attack that Kageyama and Hinata would do probably wouldn't have been called out by Oikawa and wouldn't have been blocked, or maybe not as much. So if Abajo Sai and Karasuno did face Karasuno would win, which would be bad. It's because it's in that second match against Abajo Sai that they finally realize that their quick attack isn't unstoppable, which doesn't make them try a new sort of quick attack. Also when Hinata and Kageyama fight, Kageyama goes and sees Oikawa for help and Oikawa tells him to toss to Hinata how he wants to and that he's still the same controlling dictator he is. (in my personal opinion having this confrontation with Oikawa snapped Kageyama out of his whole "do what I say" or at least made a big push). Without that Oikawa and Kageyama moment, I feel like there would be a lot of tension between Kageyama and Hinata. I still think Karasuno goes to the training camp, as they are old rivals with Nekoma that invited them but I don't think they would be as 'good' or would learn as much as they did. And again, I could go into more detail, like in the second Abajo vs Karasuno match there was this whole growth with Suga and even Yamaguchi and I don't think that it would be as effective or they wouldn't have that much growth as a character/player without the canon-Seihjo. Let's say they do somehow make it to the Preliminary Final's and face Shiratorizawa with the added IwaOi. They would get crushed and fast. Tsukki wouldn't have his whole blocking screaming moment where he finds volleyball fun, Yamaguchi probably wouldn't get 5 straight sets against them and lose self-confidence/character. Suga and Asahi wouldn't have their whole moment either. I will say I think Nishinoya would be more pumped up though, he was excited in both matches to receive both Oikawa's and Ushijima's serves, so I personally think he'll be ramped up maybe. Okay, now Hinata and Kageyama. Just to put it out there, I think Hinata would be pissing himself. Kageyama probably told him a few stories about 'the great king' and Hinata probably read a few articles about Shiratorizawa because with IwaOi they're most definitely a better powerhouse school. So Hinata would be scared shitless. I think the two of them though will try and do the quick and have it fail in their face. I don't really know if they will do the whole thing with the do the speed time running thing where all 4 players run up to spike (i forgot what that's called, so sorry) because I don't remember if they learned that from Abajo Sai or not. The big thing to take away from this what-if match would be the fact that Karasuno loses, badly. I also don't know if losing would affect Kageyama going to the All-Japan's Youth Camp and Hinata and Tsukishima going to that other camp held at shiratorizawa. If they don't go that obviously affects them a lot and their playing styles, especially Hinata as he was the ball boy and learned the importance of not just being cool and flashy wing spiker but taking a more logical step back and deconstructing games. Also, Hinata learns how to receive better, like a lot better, and play with Goshiki and Koganegawa. Having Karasuno lose to Shiratorizawa also means they don't face Inarizaki which means Atsumu doesn't do the whole 'One day I'll set for you' which is a big thing if you've read the manga. Karasuno also won't fight against kamomedai which means Hinata won't meet the tiny giant and won't face against Hoshimi which I think is a big turning point for Hinata in accepting that being a decoy is awesome and he can make a name for himself, not relive someone else's legacy (if that makes sense). now for the time skip so this is Manga Spoilers!! first of all, i' going to say it, I don't think Tsukki would join the sendai frogs, or at least I don't know. having blocked Ushijima's spike was the turning point for him in seeing that volleyball is fun and not just a sport. but I also don't know because it kinda skips over his second and third year so maybe he found it then. I also can't say if Karasuno would be good, but I think they would kinda suck. this goes back to the whole Oikawa and Kageyama moment where Oikawa makes Kageyama realize that he's not just playing for himself but for 5-6 other players and that if he wants to get good he needs to learn and adjust. I think having Kageyama being "do what I say" and Tsukki going "stfu" will definitely cause Karasuno to not be as good as they are and cause a lot of tension. As it is stated, volleyball is teamwork and it's best to play it with friends. I still think everyone does what they do besides maybe Kageyama and Hinata. I still think Hinata might go to brazil and maybe join MSBY but I just don't know if he would be as good as he is. And let's take into account that maybe he didn't sneak into that camp in season 4 I don't think he would value game technique and receives as much as he does, maybe bringing down the Jackels. I also can't say if Kageyama would join the Adlers, that would kinda depend on his growth in his second to the third year and if he learns to adjust his sets to his spikers and not be controlling. but for the sake of it and to be dramatic, let's say he doesn't lean and he's still king of the court, I would say he would probably join the Red Falcons or EJP or maybe even just a college volleyball team. yes, he does have skill but you have to consider that Kendaichi and Kunimi kinda shut him out from playing in their junior year because of his attitude. Just with his mindset and playing style, if he didn't learn what he did in season 2 to season 4 I could only see this going 3 ways. He plays for Red Falcons/EJP. He plays for a college team. He doesn't play at all and gives up. okay, now Oikawa. I think that if Oikawa was to play in Shiratorizawa he probably wouldn't have gone to Argentina and played for them, he would have gone and played with the Adlers. I personally think that the main reason why Oikawa went to Argentina was that he didn't win against Karasuno in their second match and go to nationals in his last year in high school, I think it was a big wake up call for him. So having him in Shiratorizawa and win and probably go to nationals not once but maybe twice or three times changed his mindset from the canon-Oikawa. Ushijima and Oikawa are probably some sort of crazy duo and they probably join the Adler's together with maybe even Iwazumi joining as well because Oikawa is in Japan. So having Oikawa as the starting setter would mean there would be no reason for Kageyama to be on the starting line up. I think that Ushijima and Hinata still play on Japan's national volleyball team but I will also say that Oikawa would be playing on Japan's National volleyball as well instead of playing for Argentina. So, that kinda concludes my whole theory on how Oikawa and Iwazumi going to Shiritorizawa would kinda change a lot in haikyuu, maybe not the whole plot but definitely the whole enjoyment and satisfaction from the canon plot. Sorry for making this a fucking essay and also sorry if there are any typos or if it seems messy. I literally wrote this without a plan, relying on my knowledge of haikyuu and having to use the fandom wiki once or twice, I also had to change a major point in the last two paragraphs because of kageyama and his character so sorry if its messy and rushed. But thank you if you're reading this, kinda just did this for fun and it was. thank you SilentLoud for making this video that prompted me from not studying but writing a 1600+ word essay for something that won't really matter but it was fun.
I think it would be a cooler concept to explore if Oikawa had went to shiratorizawa in the middle school. I know the relations between oikawa and ushijima made him as good as he is right now, but let’s ignore this for a second. If oikawa wasn’t on kitagawa Daichi Kageyama would probably have been there setter by his first year, and this changes things a lot. With oikawa not near kageyama and Iwaizumi would create a much closer bond, and I think that the same lesson he would give to oikawa would pe given to kageyama instead. He would understand that he can’t win alone since the beginning, and probably wouldn’t pass trough his trauma in his last year. And just like u sad, he would just go to seijoh, instead of karasuno. And I really think that a Seijoh with Kageyama+Iwaizumi vs a Shiratorizawa with Ushijima+Oikawa would be a really interesting match. Considering how the match up between kyotani and Kageyama would go too
Kageyama without Hinata Is Just a more precise oikawa. Kageyama with Hinata Is a soldier with hIs bazooka. Seijou would lose even Badly losing oikawa for kageyama. That's no because kageyama Is bad, he Is a Better setter than oikawa, but the margin Is thinner than the margin between shirabu and Oikawa. Also kageyama Is a worse overall player. Probably seijou would be as strong as we know or maybe a Little bit weaker, instead shiratorizawa would be illegal.
You should do more of this What if videos😊. Icant think of any ideas but this is such a cool video and you have a strong grasp of the characters personality and storyline
4:21 I agree, Washijo would probably let Oikawa to this kinds of plays (maybe with some limitation, but would allow) if this plays can help the team score. He is the same guy who allowed Tendou to do his guess block. Also, would be funny if he were the capitan of Shiratorizawa edit: I think that Fukurodani would have problems with Shiratorizawa because of the mood swings of Bokuto. If Tendou tease him in the right way, Bokuto would be gone (but that doesn't mean that they will lost, the team is good enough to handle when Bokuto is on his emo mode... but not for a long time).
Nice video! About your doubt on Fukurodani's power, remember that they're almost all third years guys, and, as shown several times, they are a pretty good and solid team even when Bokuto is on his depressed mood.
The thing that bugged me about the match with shiratorizawa is that they didnt go in to depth about setting ushijima. Setting is such a fundamental thing in volleyball and I wish they made shiratorizawas setter a below average setter that was off here and there because every set he gave everyone was perfect to him. Oikawa is known as a really amazing setter and I wish that they highlighted sets that were not pushed out enough or too tight or too far out for shiratorizawas setter and every other setter to show how precise these guys are
I want to make things hard. How do you think would do in miyagi prefecture a team composed by: Hyakuzawa and nakashima as WS Daichi as opposite hitter Shirabu as a setter Tendou and kindaichi as middle blockers Watari as a libero Yamaguchi and semi as pinch servers(and also reserves) Narita and Maki as reserves. All of that duplicating the players, i know it's not realistic, but the other teams would lose strong players.
what if tanaka's 'awakening' against inarizaki happened in his 1st year. i used to think all his "future ace" thing is a bs and see him just as a hypeman, until i saw that godly cross and line spikes.
I'd love to see your take on what if Hinata didn't go to Karasuno, would they still recover from being the 'fallen crows'? Because in my opinion Hinata didn't really need Karasuno, Karasuno needed him (and Kageyama aswell, not to mention that Hinata was such a big role in Kageyama's character development)
I love all the things you’ve mentioned in this video, and when it comes to Inarazaki they don’t have the best defense as they were struggling against Kageyama’s serves which are definitely weaker than both Oikawa’s and Ushijima’s also let’s not forget that Shiratorizawa has a pretty okay pinch server who gave Karasuno a little bit of problem and in my opinion Karasuno’s defense is definitely better than Inarazaki’s which would ultimately mean that this version of Shiratorizawa would rack up points by pure serves, as Inarazaki’s defense is not that solid.
Glad you like the video man I agree with your points as well, Karasuno definitely has way better defense than inarizaki add Oikawa to the mix and it'll definitely be too much to handle
Thank you so much! This is such a great discussion about "What if Oikawa joins Shiratorizawa" in this video. Haikyuu is very beautiful storyline as you can see Furudate does potrayed each of character's flaws from each team. Quoting from Iwaizumi's line said "The team with the better six is stronger." definitely showed the flaws on Oikawa in teamwork skills. Clearly you can see him being competitive and a bit selfish to beat Ushijima by himself without a second thought that the one who brings him and defeat together Ushijima is his team. Same goes to Kakugawa's team, when all member depended on Hyakuzawa because of his height. Although they have their own power, but they didn't use it properly in the right place. If Oikawa joined Shiratorizawa, it would be disaster in terms of teamwork and disatisfaction between the member (like what happened to Atsumu during his childhood). Overall, Shiratorizawa team (plus Oikawa) will be powerful enough to defeat two teams, karasuno and inarizaki. I can't even imagine if Oikawa met Atsumu in the same court. They literally will fight over the balls, not because of who is the best setter but who is the best team in the national. And probably this will put a lot of tension between two teams that could potential both of them got benched. Bet if that happened, no one can say something to Tooru like Iwa did to Oikawa during Karasuno vs Seijoh. Sorry for long comments and I have to pour out here since I'd this thoughts too for a long time about this topic 😅 Feel free to argue^^ It would be glad!
13:32 but bokuto said one time that tsukki has to beat ushijima bc bokuto had complete victory over tsukki, so if tsukki has complete victory over ushijima, then therefore bokuto will have complete victory over ushijima LOL (which i guess he does now LOL)
I believe that if kageyama was aoba's main setter, karasuno and them would still be neck and neck. You have to remember that the freak quick was a staple AND a final move of the duo. Kageyama not having someone else as spontaneous, reflexive, and athletically inclined as hinata would dub any quick that he would hypothetically try with someone else as just a poor man's version. You can argue that the quick isn't unique to those 2, but don't sleep on hinata because he's just as responsible as kageyama on why they call it the "freak" quick. Kags is a genius, but hinata's strive and hunger for improvement on himself is what had made kageyama become more considerate towards his teammates. in which most of aoba's roster didnt have. They just aren't hungry enough for volleyball, karasuno is successful because they themselves push eachother to the peak of their limits and beyond. You could say "well isn't that normal for teams to do, push eachother to be better?" yes but do you really see other teams as ravenous as karasuno when it comes to one upping eachother? Anyway, Kageyama is really good but thats because karasuno pushed him alot more towards being a team player and ultimately being more effective as a setter than he was before. A good setter is better when he can create opportunities and set easy to hit balls for his spikers.
He doesn't set 'easy-to-hit' balls and yet continues to elevate Karasuno's play. Tsukishima finally going on the offensive because of Kageyama's set virtually forcing him to jump higher. His set to Asahi in the clutch at the bottom of the third set vs Inarizaki, even off of a botched pass, was a perfect set. He did not allow his team to ease up, he made sure that Asahi was going to pull off the 'block crusher.' The development for Kageyama is no longer succumbing to the requests of his teammates; no longer easing up on them and allowing them to hit whichever set is comfortable. He made sure that they were going to score, no matter what he expected of them.
@@seanpule266 except he starts pushing them DURING s4 after the youth camp. Playing with the best players gave him a reality check that their opponents would crush them if he didn't take the initiative with karasuno. In which still goes hand in hand with why karasuno's influence on kags pretty much turned him into the beast he is even all the way to the timeskip.
a very difficult thing to take into account is the state at the moment of the players. For example, itachyama did not lose just because they were without a captain, but because of the impact that the injury had on the rest of the team, Fukurodani is also an example, on a good day Bokuto would be able to Put everyone in the pocket, and on a bad day completely sink the team. And not just because of the skills he has. But due to the psychological impact he leaves on the team
Yeah nah I know what you mean but as much as I want to take everything like everything into consideration I also don't want the video to last like 30 mins lol
Atsumu, without question. Oikawa is a good setter and very smart and capable of really good plays and serves, but so is atsumu, and he has way better form and sets, capable of doing the minus tempo quick attack set just by seeing it once, can do a spike and float serves, atsumu is capable of doing extremely low perfect sets, and as said by kageyama, “can make it seem like the spiker has improved”. Atsumu also has very clean, unreadable, consistent sets that are practically impossible to miss unless your absolutely awful at spiking. Oikawa is very good at setting and can do incredible plays to but atsumu does those plays on a daily basis and plays against national players all the time, and is constantly practicing and trying new things even in match’s. Not to underplay Oikawa’s hard work and skills, but Astumu is just a monster of a setter that will give the perfect set regardless of the recieve and will make plays that steamroll other players, especially if his on his game, unless he’s facing another monster of the game, he’s just not losing. Oikawa is definitely a great setter and player regardless though.
@@dreamvveaver I read the manga too, and I don’t where you got that from, he became a better player for sure, but it’s never stated that his become a better player than almost everyone, we also never see the match between Argentina and Japan, but we can assume that Japan won because of Hinata’s improvement thanks to playing beach volleyball, Kageyama’s and Astumu’s insane and precise sets, having Bokuto, Ushijima, and Sakusa all on the same team as spikers, their Libero(Yaku) is obviously insanely good and has made some insane plays on the same level as Nishinoya, and with Hinata’s incredible improvement with recieves, and the team being incredibly well rounded overall, I just don’t see them losing, and the only player we know definitely that’s good on the Argentina team is Oikawa, who is good but admitted that he’d lose to Kageyama one day due to his rapid learning, growth, and natural skill. So honestly, unless their blockers are on the same level as Tendou, Aone, Tsukkishima, Kuroo, and Omimi combined they aren’t losing.
To answer your question I will definitely be doing an Atsumu vs Oikawa video and go in depth about both players, I've also purchased the "After Graduation Light novel" that I believe goes over Oikawa's life after highschool so will definitely take the information there into consideration as well.
Then Shiratorizawa Academy would have become the undisputed National high school champion. What else could happen! See, Shiratorizawa already had Ushijima and without any special talented setter Ushijima was like a beast; a one man army. And Oikawa won the best setter award in the past. Oikawa is a setter who can bring out 100% percent of every player of his team. If Oikawa and Ushijima played together, no opponent stood any chance.
u said at the start the kageyama would of joined aoba johsai but kageyama would of reject the offer since he only wanted to be in Shiratorizawa.but kageyama heard that ex ukai coach was coming back so thats y he went to karasuno so karasuno wouldnt be as fucked
it's been said they were a consistent top 8 at nationals but never got any further and imo opinion they just never had the multiple super stars a inarizaki or itachiyama had but with oikawa they could definitely go toe to toe with those teams plus they wouldn't have to waste a pinch server on their setter and could even run lots of 6-2 with both of them
Lately I’ve been thinking ushijima will benefit from moving to any other school but no one will benefit to moving into shirasoritwa. Ushijima is a great spiked no matter what, he is simple and just toss him a high ball and he will score with 3 spikes or not. But oikawa, Atsumu, and Kageyama will try to manipulate the court and try fancy plays and that old man will not change. Oikawa will be force to grow for college because that old man still want everyone to grow but he won’t play once he use ushijima as a decoy for the 5th times.
Shiratorizawa would be powerful honestly since the players are already elite mainly ushiwaka and tendou (main duo) with him setting for ushiwaka, his hits would be powerful same goes for him(oikawa) with Semi to set rather, way too powerful. Since both schools are a powerhouse. overall if you take all best(specific or known) players, and they all go for one school, That would be unbeatable. With genius setters Fast blockers that can read the players movements Good ass hits with em sketchy animation style as ace and literally all liberos are superior af. And yeah theres much more and since i cant remember nor play volleyball, idk much.
SPOILER Is it a stretch to think the Karasuno that played Kamomedai could beat this version of Shiratorizawa? I think they'll do just as well as they did in Season 3. By that time, you could toss to Asahi and expect him to score almost equally as Ushijima. He's definitely a top ten ace. That and Tsukki and Noya's total defense will probably give them the win. I wanna know what you guys think, though
Bold of you to assume that oikawa hasn't seen atsumu in the flesh. I mean it might not have been mentioned in the manga but realistically speaking players don't just stop watching volleyball or don't go to games just because they were eliminated in the tournament.
Going to watch Nationals in another city is very uncommon especially if your a HS player, unless your really that into it that you'd wanna go to suss out other players. It's very unlike for a player to travel over 400 km's to Tokyo just to watch nationals
@@silentloud4267 but we're talking about oikawa here the dude watches hours of replay, so its possible that he went to tokyo to watch the finals/semi-finals and has seen miya. Not to mention itachiyama's setter is also supposed to be really good so it's not just miya. Though to be fair the travel time is really long and pretty pricy.
@@silentloud4267 yes, but that Champ is still at the same time as he is a 3rd year, just because he joins a new team, doesn’t mean he suddenly is younger.
@@silentloud4267 naaa in every battle of setter and ace duo Shiratorizawa(oikawa) version will always win Problem will be if Miya atsumu join itachiyama Oof But that's not possible
I believe that nekoma would win. Aoba johsai’s defense isn’t as good, and I think they would have trouble blocking kuroo, even though the third years are decent at blocking. I just don’t see how aoba johsai can overpower nekoma, or gain an advantage over them. *also.... lev is a monster in terms of physical capabilities*
Facts even if oikawa was In shiratorizawa karsouno could still beat them because anime’s don’t themselves so the creators of the anime can do anything the want
I feel like Maddog wouldnt learn to love or begin to love his team bc Oikawa was really the one who gave him a chance in matches while Iwa just gave him chances outside if matches. Perhaps Yahaba could but if Laggyama did go to aoba johsai then yahaba wouldnt be able to give maddog the chance, bc we know kags sets to the person he feels has the best chance to get the point and if maddog cant be trusted then he will never get a set. But if he goes to karasuno bc he was rude and a egotistical king then yahaba will be a starter and will probably come along but aoba johsai will not be as good bc Oikawa isnt there to bring out the best and unless Yahaba can find a role model or mentor to learn and admire then he will not be as good of a setter as Oikawa, AND BESKSOEIDIW they loose one of the most powerful servers on the team. Unless maddog can control his insane serves then he can perhaps surpass oikawa but that depends on how the team handles him and how Yahaba will stack up as he will be the only setter without Oikawa And since iwaizumi is going with Oikawa to Shiritorizawa then there is no “alpha dog” to reign in Maddog meaning Its all up to Yahaba (since hes the one who forces maddog to clear his head and get back into the match with a clear head.) so basically bye bye sorry
Ehhh Aoba johsai would drop to top 16 or 8 in the Miyagi prefecture. But Shiratorizawa in nationals would probably would it top 4 placing 3rd in nationals. I think they would edge out Fukurodani but if they went inarizaki or Itachiyama they would likely still lose I forgot this was with Iwaizumi LOL, anyway yeah with Iwa they can probably win nationals atleast once
I still stand by my case that Shiratorizawa (with Oikawa) would beat Inarizaki, since I assume that the match against Inarizaki without oikawa in the previous nationals would've been a close game, add Oikawa to the fray and Shiratorizawa would be too much
Skill/Experience/Strength plays a vital role especially in HS level. Hence why I'd put Iwa over Goshiki just because he's a 3rd year, probably has more power and is better in receiving not to mention the presence he brings onto the court
@@silentloud4267 Skill? That one's a reach. Goshiki has displayed similar defensive abilities and more offensive capabilities. Iwaizumi doesn't tool the block or hit line as well as Goshiki does. Experience and strength? You're right. Although, does strength exactly matter in this case? Goshiki is still a better hitter with a higher conversion rate (I counted). I definitely agree that Iwaizumi plays a more vital role and that the experience gap is just incomparable, though. However, that one's just out of Goshiki's control. As good as Goshiki is, Ushijima is just another level.
@@silentloud4267 it’s was definitely Karasunos fault that Kags became a better team player. If Kags went to Seijou the team probably wouldn’t treat him with the same respect that Karasuno (sometimes Tsukki) gives him. So in conclusion. If Kageyama didn’t go to Karasuno he would never grow and his volleyball career would definitely fail.
went tsukishima and hinata(sort of) went to the training camp in held in shiratorizawa. hinata i think said that goshiki was the best player and iwaizumi was also there
If Oikawa went to Shiratorizawa, Ushijima would be the #1 ace in the nation as Oikawa would drain the absolute best out of him.
This is true!
Yeah if there was any debate that Sakusa was a better spiker then ushijima then. Then it would be completely obsolete once oikawa sets to ushijima. And ushijima would rein supreme.
@@damianc669 that's the thing!
Well, as they say, no matter how good a weapon is, it can only be as good as the wielder can make it to be, and Oikawa would definitely utilize Ushijima much better than Shirabu could

@SilentLoud not even then, Karasuno would lose and he would be drowning in an indescribable emptiness
Remember that Ushijima can go SSJ2 Kaioken x20 so...
Hinata should have the skill of hoshiumi during his first year
Your Oikawa impressions are terrifyingly accurate.
And WOAH JUST IMAGINE ATSUMU AND OIKAWA'S VERSION OF THE BATTLE OF THE SETTERS--
Yep and that's exactly why Oikawa won't buy into Shiratorizawas philosophy and try to still improve on his own instead of relying only on Ushijima because eventhough they'll dominate Miyagi they'll still be facing top teams in nationals
If oikawa had joined shiratorizawa, than the whole series would have ended in two seasons and shiratorizawa had dominated in nationals each time.
"That's cute"
- Itachiyama
No the anime wouldn’t end in two Seasons because anime’s have creators so they could go on an VS shiratorizawa and yet beat them because the creators of the anime planned to do that think of it as this if the anime did not have a creator yes shiratorizawa would legit beat the living crap out of everyone but karausno has a chance of beating them because that is what was coded or animated
Then MC would ve been Oikawa

I just feel so bad for oikawa for never getting to play in nationals, he's a very talented player with very high skill and a monster serve but there's just that one boss he can't defeat to get to the next level...
True, exposure to Nationals would've made him bloom much much earlier
He's talented... Just not as talented as Kageyama. It's what makes his character so interesting (watch "Toruu Oikawa, The Curse Of The Ordinary" it breaks down a lot of the stuff).
@@LucinaIRL But at that moment he was better than him, the problem really is that Kageyama had Hinata, if Oikawa had Ushijima he would wreck any team other than Inarizaki or Itachiyama in my opionion.
Thank god the Manga gave him a good ending

Imagine you have to deal with Ushijima's serve and then also deal with Oikawa.
Noya would have a busy day
Imagine trying to imagine that scenario.
It's like playing against a dream team in high school
Imagine if the rotation for the serves go from ushijima straight to oikawa that would be hell for any opposition
Would definitely be hell for Nishinoya
Kageyama was invited to Aoba Johsai but didn't go, not because he didn't like 70% of the team, but because he heard Coach Ukai was coming out if retirement, Coach Ukai (the old one) led Karasuno to Nationals when Tenma Udai was there.
So the plot would be the same but without Oikawa being at Seijou, if they didn't meet in Kitagawa Daiichi, then he still would see Oikawas games and would still play against him in middle school and high school.
You dont have to meet someone for them to be your role model.
honestly shiritorizowa beats nekoma. Ushijima and oikawa have just as good endurance maybe better than nekoma players
they would squash nekoma, it was even confirmed by bokuto in the team japan player manga interview special, that Ushijima destroyed Fukurodani whenever they played in Highschool.
Oh nah they'd definitely win straight sets
Avalac
Dude fr bokuto and fukurodani beat Mujinazaka and kiryu (which is apparently top 2 that's better than ushiwaka "highschool")
While probably be destroyed by Shiratorizawa and ushiwaka
Oh ok so that's why kiryu and mujinazaka got defeated, so kiryu was an top 3 spiker that's better than ushiwaka (highschool) he can spike any toss (yes any toss, he can also spike a bad one without problem.) but his mental is what make fukurodani wins.
Avalac
Furudate sensei probably said "Does he even existed" jokes, i mean he just have a little bit of screentime compared to ushiwaka and sakusa.
if oikawa had joined shiratorizawa then it'd be OVER for every other team
Imagine if we could get filler episode of Oikawa actually joining Ushijma
My only issue with your scenario is that I can't see Aoba Josai refusing Kageyama if Oikawa is not around.
I can't see Kageyama wanting to go to Aoba Josai considering his falling out with his teammates at Kitagawa, who mostly matriculated to Seijoh.
The thing is Kageyama never wanted to go there in the first place because most of his Kitagawa Daichi teamates we're there which he obviously doesn't have a very good relationship with
He never considered aoba josai. He only applied to shiratorizawa and karasuno.

Oikawa should've come to Shiratorizawa.
Definitely should've
@@silentloud4267 100%
i just imagine that in a parallel universe their dynamic would be just like Kageyama and Hinata
I wouldn't be surprised honestly, I definitely do see them getting along pretty well
Oikawa's personality would probably clash with their coach leading him to get benched much like Eita Semi.
He probably wouldn’t get benched considering how many points he would rack up and that’s kind of all the coach cares about
@@mangotango2404 If that was the case Eita would be starting still, but he was replaced likely due to his personality and not being as docile as Shirabu.
I love the fact that analysis like this where oikawa joins shiratorizawa, iwaizumi's also included. T.T
Had to do it, would've been rude not too :3
Tbf, I don't think there's any other way he could be convinced to go.
That's the only issue that I have with the manga, I really did hope we got more information about there powerhouse schools
What about Inarizaki’s cheer team up against Shiratorizawa’s cheer team? It won’t be battle of the setters, it would be battle of the cheers.
if I could make an analysis of that, that would be pre funny haha
Haha yesss
8:44 well without oikawa i feel like this sejouh wouldn't make the semi-finals instead karasuno would rematch date tech and karasuno would still win that's it gud vid.
That's actually a good point, I didn't consider that Seijoh wouldn't even beat data tech and reach the semi's
Oikawa already went to Brazil, now you are going to Shiratorizawa.
Oikhawa in Shiratorizawa would be a menace, not only Ushiwaka would be at his best, the team won't rely on him alone as Oikhawa would use everyone to their best. They would easily be top 4 in nationals.
11:33 that picture I-
I love how you chose a picture of Oikawa when he sets to Ushijima😭😭😭
This most likely shouldnt happen because the more power they have the more overpowered the team will be. Both Ushijima and Oikawa are very good players. Against other teams, they are unstoppable which makes and gives karasuno a hard time. Even if the storyline is changed and they make karasuno win it is obvious it is a small chance due to the fact Shiratorizawa is a powerhouse and that you also have oikawa in it.
The only thing that's stopping me from making them the best HS Team is that we don't have that much info on Itachiyama
@@silentloud4267 true if you did it may increase the power on the team if you would place them onto shiratorizawa
I like Oikawa because he’s Oikawa. Him in different schools doesn’t change my opinion on liking him.
this is a really great theory and I really like the idea, but I think that saying 'what if Oikawa and Iwazumi went to Shiratorizawa' would change the whole course of the manga/anime.
(i could go more into maybe Kendaichi or Kunimi but I feel like that's just nitpicking)
so by having Abajo Sai being like Karasuno, where they were a really good school but now just suck) would probably mean that they might not go up against Karasuno because the only reason why they did was that Oikawa wanted to play against Kageyama (I'm pretty sure, reading between the lines of Iwazumi and Kendaichi both not knowing and were surprised to see Kageyama).

@@mence5992 would not say in my opinion as a setter Oikawa was better than Kageyama
You should do more of this What if videos😊. Icant think of any ideas but this is such a cool video and you have a strong grasp of the characters personality and storyline
No wonder ushiwaka simps for oikawa
4:21 I agree, Washijo would probably let Oikawa to this kinds of plays (maybe with some limitation, but would allow) if this plays can help the team score. He is the same guy who allowed Tendou to do his guess block. Also, would be funny if he were the capitan of Shiratorizawa
edit: I think that Fukurodani would have problems with Shiratorizawa because of the mood swings of Bokuto. If Tendou tease him in the right way, Bokuto would be gone (but that doesn't mean that they will lost, the team is good enough to handle when Bokuto is on his emo mode... but not for a long time).
I wouldn't be surprised if Oikawa captains tbh it would balance out the team
Nice video! About your doubt on Fukurodani's power, remember that they're almost all third years guys, and, as shown several times, they are a pretty good and solid team even when Bokuto is on his depressed mood.
That's true, I just kinda wished they gave other players from Fukurodani more screen time so we could see how good they are in the flesh
all I know is that Konoha is one of their best all-around player who knows how to set, spike and receive well.
The thing that bugged me about the match with shiratorizawa is that they didnt go in to depth about setting ushijima. Setting is such a fundamental thing in volleyball and I wish they made shiratorizawas setter a below average setter that was off here and there because every set he gave everyone was perfect to him. Oikawa is known as a really amazing setter and I wish that they highlighted sets that were not pushed out enough or too tight or too far out for shiratorizawas setter and every other setter to show how precise these guys are
True, would've been nice if they actually went into dept but I reckon that would've "ruined" the story/pacing plus it would take too long
This is way too good for the amount of views it has
Appreciate it brother
Since I've received a few request to continue this "series". Lmk what other "WHAT IFS" you guys wanna see and I'll make sure to deliver on that
I want to make things hard.
How do you think would do in miyagi prefecture a team composed by:
Hyakuzawa and nakashima as WS
Daichi as opposite hitter
Shirabu as a setter
Tendou and kindaichi as middle blockers
Watari as a libero
Yamaguchi and semi as pinch servers(and also reserves)
Narita and Maki as reserves.
What if Hinata went to Seijoh
@@Gaijinalex he would have Warmed the bench hahahah
Glad you like the video man I agree with your points as well, Karasuno definitely has way better defense than inarizaki add Oikawa to the mix and it'll definitely be too much to handle
blud made 3 haikyuu videos and dipped 😞
Fr decent videos too 🙂↕️
Thank you so much!
They will be unstoppable
13:32 but bokuto said one time that tsukki has to beat ushijima bc bokuto had complete victory over tsukki, so if tsukki has complete victory over ushijima, then therefore bokuto will have complete victory over ushijima LOL (which i guess he does now LOL)
lmao
*SPOILERS*
In manga bokuto beats ushijima? Indeed. Tsukki beats ushijima? Sadly no
Oikawa's a thrid year so he wouldn't get to play beacaues season 2 was he's last game in High school
If oikawa Go to the shiratorizawa theres no more " You should have come to shiratorizawa" theres now a "you should have come to aoba johsai"
He made sure that they were going to score, no matter what he expected of them.
kageyama would be riding the bench cuz i dont think anyone from Seijoh is change his old attitude
2:39 friendship
If Washijo didn't appreciate maverick players, then Tendou wouldn't exist.
Nah, Oikawa would be the main character if he went to Shiratorizawa---
I think trying to figure out who’s a better setter between oikawa and atsumu would be interesting
In the manga oikawa has become better than almost all of them in the time skip and he is planning to beat everyone
Damn this has become a full on discussion aye
To answer your question I will definitely be doing an Atsumu vs Oikawa video and go in depth about both players, I've also purchased the "After Graduation Light novel" that I believe goes over Oikawa's life after highschool so will definitely take the information there into consideration as well.
LOL THE THUMBNAIL
Damn Oikawa why didn't you consider HARDER I'd love to see this! Anyways love this video Hinata would need all the dragon balls to beat them.
Hands down best video ive seen
tyty
"You should ve joined Shirotorisawa"
Noya: "Sorry, your uniform ain't black son"
If u put captions on the oikawa is now called Ricardo
lol
Oikawa :fuck you iwa-chan~
Oikawa again:ushijima has bigger mucles
this would be like curry going to the lakers
Pretty much really
Then Shiratorizawa Academy would have become the undisputed National high school champion. What else could happen! See, Shiratorizawa already had Ushijima and without any special talented setter Ushijima was like a beast; a one man army. And Oikawa won the best setter award in the past. Oikawa is a setter who can bring out 100% percent of every player of his team. If Oikawa and Ushijima played together, no opponent stood any chance.
*Laughs in Itachiyama*
He should seriously consider not losing tho 😌💅🏻
Kiyoko san you forgot to change your last name
This thing only can happen if oikawa living close to ushijima.. To build the friendship like he do with iwa..
u said at the start the kageyama would of joined aoba johsai but kageyama would of reject the offer since he only wanted to be in Shiratorizawa.but kageyama heard that ex ukai coach was coming back so thats y he went to karasuno so karasuno wouldnt be as fucked
I’m still happy he didn’t go
Very interesting and great video
Just finished the video all I have to say is great analysis
Cheers bro, glad you liked it!
@@silentloud4267 😄 😄🖤✨
it's been said they were a consistent top 8 at nationals but never got any further and imo opinion they just never had the multiple super stars a inarizaki or itachiyama had but with oikawa they could definitely go toe to toe with those teams plus they wouldn't have to waste a pinch server on their setter and could even run lots of 6-2 with both of them
Lately I’ve been thinking ushijima will benefit from moving to any other school but no one will benefit to moving into shirasoritwa.
Shiratorizawa would be powerful honestly since the players are already elite mainly ushiwaka and tendou (main duo) with him setting for ushiwaka, his hits would be powerful same goes for him(oikawa) with Semi to set
rather, way too powerful. Since both schools are a powerhouse.
overall if you take all best(specific or known) players, and they all go for one school, That would be unbeatable.
With genius setters
Fast blockers that can read the players movements
Good ass hits with em sketchy animation style as ace
and literally all liberos are superior af.
And yeah theres much more and since i cant remember nor play volleyball, idk much.
nice video gives me swagkage vibes
You're giving me too much credit man
SPOILER
Is it a stretch to think the Karasuno that played Kamomedai could beat this version of Shiratorizawa? I think they'll do just as well as they did in Season 3. By that time, you could toss to Asahi and expect him to score almost equally as Ushijima. He's definitely a top ten ace. That and Tsukki and Noya's total defense will probably give them the win. I wanna know what you guys think, though
Could go either way that’s the beauty of hypotheticals your the creator of the story
Upsets ah!!! That's the thing... I mean I know it's an anime but no matter who went where if it's a particular teams day, they win!!!
Omg i read shiratorizawa as shitaroizawa 😂
Now *What happened if Kageyama was accepted to shiratorizawa*
Oikawa wouldn’t go to the national team camp because it was only for 1st and 2nd years, and he is a 3rd year so he’s too old
I mentioned in the video Oikawa joins Shiratorizawa in HS which would mean he'd start as a 1st year
@@silentloud4267 yes, but that Champ is still at the same time as he is a 3rd year, just because he joins a new team, doesn’t mean he suddenly is younger.
@@azamil256 National team camp held anually

Problem will be if Miya atsumu join itachiyama
Oof
But that's not possible
2:25 thats actually true tho
Im finished anime but i didnt read manga...so should i start manga from first or its ok to start from past episode of anime?
Guys ik this is random but aoba johsai vs nekoma who would win? Tell me why you think they would win
@@weizigang7614 true! I def agree and i think they wont have much trouble deslinf with their serves
Nekoma would win I reckon, in saying that It would be a close match up still
If coach Washijo didn't accept oikawa as the setter he would probably make him the pinch server
P.S: I don't know if it's pitch or pinch sercer
Facts even if oikawa was In shiratorizawa karsouno could still beat them because anime’s don’t themselves so the creators of the anime can do anything the want
Please continue this
Any what if suggestions ?
Sub for this legend.
The editing skills I thought you had like 250k subs at first but man ur so underrated
Appreciate the support bro, means a lot
Unless maddog can control his insane serves then he can perhaps surpass oikawa but that depends on how the team handles him and how Yahaba will stack up as he will be the only setter without Oikawa
And since iwaizumi is going with Oikawa to Shiritorizawa then there is no “alpha dog” to reign in Maddog meaning Its all up to Yahaba (since hes the one who forces maddog to clear his head and get back into the match with a clear head.) so basically bye bye sorry
Ehhh Aoba johsai would drop to top 16 or 8 in the Miyagi prefecture. But Shiratorizawa in nationals would probably would it top 4 placing 3rd in nationals. I think they would edge out Fukurodani but if they went inarizaki or Itachiyama they would likely still lose
I forgot this was with Iwaizumi LOL, anyway yeah with Iwa they can probably win nationals atleast once
I still stand by my case that Shiratorizawa (with Oikawa) would beat Inarizaki, since I assume that the match against Inarizaki without oikawa in the previous nationals would've been a close game, add Oikawa to the fray and Shiratorizawa would be too much
i think they would beat everyone at Nationals, they would be too good.

Iwaizumi > Goshiki? Sleeping. >:)

I think kageyama changed because of hinata right?
Hinata definitely had a big influence on Kageyama but it wasn't solely because of him that Kageyama changed

Goshiki is better than iwaizumi eazy
In the future yes but in S2 Iwa was way better plus he's a 3rd year. Age gap especially during HS level makes a massive difference
