Unsettled is a 2-4 player cooperative survival adventure set in the wondrous and unnerving fringes of uncharted space. There are no enemies and no combat, only an environment where every step, every breath, every particle around you could mean immediate, terrifying, death. Enemies are the least of your concerns.
In these incredible conditions you must complete a series of tasks necessary to your continued survival. Perhaps the water reclamation system on the ship needs repair, or (as usual) food supplies are running low. Before you lies a strange alien landscape - it’s up to you to complete these tasks using…whatever you find out there.
Each time you play you will have a different combination of survival tasks to complete and the things you discover (and their weird properties) will be different as well. So while you always start out knowing what problems you need to solve you have no idea how you’re going to use the world before you to do so (or what the world is going to do to you while you try).
As you explore the environment, encountering wild & unique opportunities along the way, you will work closely with the rest of your crew to achieve your goal of co

I’d be interested to hear your thoughts about Unsettled vs ISS Vanguard, Alex.
I second this!
Me three.
I'll throw my 2¢ in on them (own/played Unsettled and backed ISS).
Unsettled is a scenario based survival puzzle game with excellent flavor text around setting up the puzzles to be resolved to provide a cohesive story within the scenario. Each scenario is played as a stand-alone game. As the story is there for setting/theme and not the main game element, the scenarios are replayable since many aspects of each scenario have a lot of variability.
ISS is a narrative driven space exploration RPG campaign style game. It has an overarching story line that ties all the scenarios (planetary exploration missions) together as well as decisions/results that carry over throughout the campaign.
Our plays of Unsettled have been great! Lots of cooperative decision-making and tension with wins coming right down to the wire and some key decisions. While it can be played solo, I think it really shines as a coop since many of your character abilities are designed to be used on other players' turns. That interaction and joint problem solving is a key part of the fun IMO. Of course we've not yet been able to play ISS so I can't compare them regarding whether one is more "satisfying to play".
Same
Very enjoyable and informative playthrough; it made me finally decide to see about getting a copy. Looks like a very nice production, theme, and gameplay. Thank you.
Missed it the first time. Super excited for the 22nd!
I'm sad I haven't been able to dive in yet because don't have a group for it right now, might have to dive in solo. Ty for this video!
I have been anxiously waiting for this to come back to Kickstarter! Only learned of this game last year and prices online are ridiculous currently. Only a bit into this playthrough, but it looks fantastic. Will be late backing this in a heartbeat!
Within a few plays it is absolutely joined my top games of 2021
Orange Nebula has a second print run as well as additional planets hitting Kickstarter on 2/22/22!
Looks like a fun game! I'm looking forward to the review.
Coming soon :)
Love this game
Love this game! Can't watch because I haven't played this task before. Don't wanna spoil me. Grakkis is a cool one for sure!
Same here. Don't even want to hear the flavor text as it is so well done and entertaining to read as you play.
I don't have a clue what's happening here... but it looks cool!
Lol absolutely fair :)
Those are a lot of cards.
Yes there are :)
Pretty sure Luna is part of the crew and she's required to be on the ship at the end
Yep, I believe so.
I'm 15 minutes in. Are there usually this many events which require a rulebook check?
I think only during your first games. Played wenora1 just yesterday, in ~2h: rulebook checks stopped after ~30mins
How many are there in the entire playthrough? I didn't feel like there were that much, but I didn't count. I would say each planet wings a drop of uncertainty to the table as you are inherently learning new rules. But speaking for my perception of play, not necessarily the reality of play, this isn't a game I would have dinged for excessive rule checking.
Is it just me or does this sound suspiciously like Arrakis
Lol fair
Thanks for reminding me why I don't buy campaign games. :)
Unless I'm misunderstanding your comment, this is not a campaign game...each game session is its own experience. Nothing carries over from session to session? The different planets are just different scenarios with their own quirks.
You're a fool Richard. A fool and a clown.
