Thanks for doing a review that actually specifies whether there are new regular Epic characters included, rather than just referring to the new versions of old Epics as "new Epics" and not specifying if any of the epics in this are new characters like apparently every single other review ever.
What would you say is the "weight" of the game with this expansion? Great review. I also listened to the entire book series through Audible while doing my evening runs.
Thanks Alex! Very helpful. I just picked up the base box and was overall quite impressed, but was also concerned about long term replayability, so I'll see where this lands after I teach and play it a bit. Right now I'm pretty positive on it, as it feels like it bridges a gap in time and complexity between games like Marvel United and Darkest Night which have similar game flows, but waaay opposite ends of the spectrum for time and brainpower needed. Good stuff!
That's a good assessment - the base game is friendly, not too complex, and a great deal of fun, but it definitely hits a long term replayability / variety limit. The expansion should really help with that.
My biggest issue with Reckoners is that the dice type become irrelevant pretty quickly as they aren't all that varied and there is so many ways to convert one dice result into another. At about the half way mark, it was just about the number of dice rather their type and results.
This game seems 100% unavailable anywhere online. Stores, 2nd hand market, eBay, anything. Seemed like it had a decent KS for core + the expansion KS later. I guess everyone just loves the game?
Thanks Alex for the great review!

Not sure if you’re excited or not but I’m pretty sure Glass Cannon Unplugged is teasing a Dying Light board game.
Oooh, well now I'm excited :)

For the most part yes, it's been very well received
@@BoardGameCo Any idea how to get a copy? Looks really interesting.
backers of the last kickstarter won't be receiving their games until April or May, after which point you may see some being resold
@@joncarr5545 I've seen some well established stores having it in stock atm
@@nihlify Thanks! I bought it direct from the publisher. :)
oh you receive it... I think will take more time for EU
This is an early copy.
4.5/10 ? :O
