That plow is phenomenal! Middle of February in Massachusetts and putting in electronic ignition allowed it clear ALL of the snow on that dirt road AND in the fields beyond! :D
I noticed you are replacing the vacuum distributor with a 009. Can you use this electronic ignition on the vacuum distributor? Also #1 on the distributor cap of a 009 is where #4 is on a vacuum.
Can you please tell me where the other coil wires go to? I put that distributor in a 1600 modifide trike. It dont know where the power to the coil wires go. None were there when i started. ( big wire melt) I have a big proble locating a diagram. Plus, someone has been "fooling around" with the wires. Everything is red wire. I will run new wires if i know where they need to go. NO SPARK. My friends is a Stiers Trike 1976 1600 with a crazy 2bbl carb i cant identfy. Yet.😊 Please help.
I could not help smiling, you looked like you were having fun :-D Didn't it shift when you got traction :-D My frend has a morris minor and he fitted a special plate to replace the points plate. Just two wires like yours. It made a hell of a difference :-D
Hey rich did your cables order change? I just replace my distributor and cable number one end up pointing towards the pulley and I'm a new on the vw family and I don't know what to do. Any tips?
Hi Mr. Richpin. What made you decide on going with a non vacuum advance distributor as was with the one you replaced? I'm in the planning stages of replacing my electronic ignition 009 distributor mated with 34 pict 3 carb because of the dreaded flat spot. And installing a Pertronix Flame Thrower with vacuum advance hoping throttling up will improve from low RPM to rev while underway will improve. Thanks for your content.
I was not to worried about any flat spot on this application because this vehicle will not see any service on the road and the price was low.If i was using it on the road i would have looked into the Pertronix.
Hey im interested in buying a Ford escort with the 1.9l I saw your cylinder head video there arnt many videos on the 1.9l were there any major problems with the 1.9l the one im looking at is a 94 with 56k original miles
