  • Finally got the car tuned by Scott from Nugget Garage. Scott did an awesome job and the car goes harder than ever. Big thanks to Drew from Japelec for installing the ecu and extra sensors.
    specs
    2.2l stroker
    256 cams vct delete
    6 boost manifoild
    g25 550 .72
    haltech elite 1500
    z32 gearbox and 3.7 2 way diff so its got long gears

    how you get that crazy flutter? my old gtx gen2, and every other anti surge turbo i hear just say CHO when you shut the throttle at full boost

    Wicked mate, what size Injectors and is that on 98 or E85? Possibly about to move to a G25-550 myself from an ancient GT2871r.

      98 I think they are 1000cc. G25 is definitely the way to go.

      i had a gtx2871 0.72AR before, 1.5bar can make 399WHP. almost 4000rpm to make full boost. for g25 0.49 can achive full boost @ 3300rpm but max only around 350whp. it's really compromise

    So this is probably the best turbo for a 2.0-2.5L 4-cyl not revving past 7k, yes? Also, I really love how the flutter sounds like a big turbo on high boost. Very stereotypical Skyline sounding flutter. Not that basic rapid flapping sound of other setups. If mine is gonna flutter, it needs to have that big first SSTTUUUUUUU girl sneeze sound. Otherwise I'm just gonna run an RFL BOV, lol.

    Yo did you do anything to get that turbo flutter? Seen a couple of other videos with this similar setup and they just get a whoosh. I've got a G25-550 top mount kit ready to go on my S14 but I want to keep the stututus!!

      Ye just don't run a blow off valve and you'll get the noise

    Was there a reason you removed VCT wow if you made 402.5hp with a 2.2 I think I’ll make 450-500 with my setup and not stroked I hope so

      It had bigger cams which involves vct delete.

    what’s the AR for this g25-550?
    i am on dyno right now for g25-550 0.49

      .72 exhaust ar. This is a Strocked 2.2l engine

      @@yd2532 thanks for your info, as for 0.49, 2.0L forged with pon cam can only make about 350hp, but very fast spool, 1bar can be achieved at 3000rpm

    Why only 17 psi on built motor ?
    My stock sr elite 1000, e85 running gtx2860 made 370hp with 21.5 psi

      For engine longevity. Main reason I bought the car was cause it had a 2.2l Strocker kit so I won't have to rev it as much and run as much boost.

      @@yd2532 I got mates with built motors running 28 psi with no dramas 2-3 years going strong. If stock pushes 21 on e85 you should at least go bare minimum 21. Might as well push some of its potential if your not gonna push it all the way, that’s just my opinion anyhow.

      @@albfire ye it's got plenty left in it for sure. It's only ever gonna run petrol so when I go back for more will probably aim for high 400s. Just when they break they are Brocken for ages so I try to keep my stuff reliable.

      Only wanted 400hp. Plus 660 comes on a fair bit later. Adam Lz has tested both on evos

    The graph curve looks lazier than I had imagined. Would that be due to road speed reference instead of rpm?

      It's full boost by around 3500 would be even sooner if it had vct and e85.

      @@Ozdemir1993 I have a graph but it says speed not rpm and shows afrs not boost. Do you reckon it should be hitting full boost sooner or later?
