The Best RWBY Game Yet? RWBY Arrowfell Review

- From the teams of Wayforward and Arc Systems, RWBY Arrowfell is quite the step up from the small indie predecessor RWBY Grimm Eclipse, but that doesn't mean its better? Well funny thing, Arrowfell definitely gets everything right that Grimm Eclipse got wrong, but it also gets wrong the few things that Eclipse really got right.
Based on Volume 7 of the hit web series RWBY, Arrowfell is an action platformer that is on the cusp of being a Metroid-vania but doesn't quite stick it.

Arc Sys should definitely make a RWBY fighting game in similar vain to Blazblue and Early Guilty Gear especially after Arrowfell and BBTAG proved it's quite neat
That'd be cool, but which RWBY's rights in limbo right now, there's no guarantee that the show will continue/finish let alone get another game.

Burn is actually quite useful in combat. Yang can take out boarbatusks and other tougher Grimm a lot quicker than the others, and you can keep spamming it.
Oh yeah? I never really tried her against some of the bigger foes because I kept getting popped by the smaller ones to the point that it seemed pointless, but its makes sense. Though as the game went on, I just started ignoring enemies like that because I didn't really gain anything from fighting them.
@@InfiniteComboReviews True, you can practically speedrun the game as Ruby, and her maneuverability is great for taking on the ambushes.
It is always interesting when new developers take on a title and fix its short comings while making mistakes that were not broken before.
Mega Man sometimes suffers from the "why fight when running is easier" because ultimately you want to get the boss weapon. Yes you can get energy drops, though many levels reward the player with these after tough sections, and bolts are pretty controversial as some players feel they are just a way to buy easy mode. I will say at least they are optional and offer a "Baby's First Skill Tree" which is sadly more than this title seams to offer.

I can't think of many games that have had that happen honestly. Also, skipping foes in Megaman is a bit different mostly because skipping them can be kinda hard. Ruby just lets you run by and the baddies don't really hinder movement like in Megaman either. Its a super easy game. I never died.

@@InfiniteComboReviews glad i could be helpful in someway. for your first shantae game (if you choose to play one) i'd recemmend Shantae and the Seven Sirens. its a true call back to Metroid and its story is really charming. there are 5 Shantae games at the time of this comment going back from 2002

Well, both Shantae and Arrowfell were developed by Wayforward.
Well this is a major disappointment 😭 am a big fan of the animated series so was really excited to see games coming out with my favorite girls ❤❤❤ however it looks and sounds like they are both just shitty cash grab excuses that use the RWBY charm to draw loyal fans in😈😈 badly played in my opinion as both these games definitely had the potential to be something extremely special.

An S tier RWBY game would have been heavenly honestly, and considering everything available in terms of support from Rooster teeth for this game, their really was zero excuse for the game to turn out as bad as it did😈 seriously the biggest travesty is that the game has such a high price tag for what is not really that great of a game.
( a friend had a copy of the game and I was playing it a bit… everything you covered in your video was spot on)

On a side note when did rooster teeth lose the rights to RWBY? Because I noted from volume 7 to 9 WB his published the anime
@@Queenofthesevenseas Yeah. Grimm Eclipse has some leeway since it started and was mostly a published fan game, but Arrowfell was made by Way Forward and Arc Systems so it should have been waaaaaay better.
I'm talking about BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle. It's a fighting game, a kinda Smash Brothers of Blaze Blue combined with all the RWBY girls and Persona 4 characters. It's pretty cheap now.
