Looks like the builder did his own plumbing 😂😂. That other time clock you found may be for the hot water. If you cut the plaster board off inside the cupboard. Then cut the tank bit to access the immersion. Then you still may not get a spanner on to take out the immersion heater ..so may have to take the tank out and to future proof any problems. Love that urinal job . What a mess 😮. Great to ser Alan Hart with you 👍. Don't touch any valves on a Friday afternoon 😂
Urgh !!! That urinal job was horrid 🤢,I’ve never seen one that bad, but you did a splendid job on it 👍. As for the cylinder and the wall, obviously not a lot of thought went into it and that’s how you end up with problems. I think I would make a big cut out down the bottom then try and turn the cylinder round a bit so you can have access to what you need for future maintenance. Nice to see Alan on the show. Great video Mark and I bet you’ve got a Lamborghini tucked away somewhere 😂👍
I understand turning off gate valves can be like playing gate roulette but in all my years of DIY, caretaking and site management I've never had a shutoff leak. Seize up, yes, leak no. I've found shut off valves more likely to leak and then you have to nip up the nut behind the handle. x
Hi Mark, very interesting video of blocked pipework in men’s toilets, I’m sure many plumbers have experienced this total nightmare scenario, did you know that in Europe they don’t have issues like these in their unisex toilets because women’s urine neutralises men’s urine, backed up pipework usually requires removal of pipework and renewing it, crystallised urine is dreadful and not worth chemicals being poured down it because it’s like concrete! I’m so happy to see you wearing gloves, take care mate and thanks for sharing.💎
Great content matey . i hate them urinal jobs. I was working in a factory when the h&s officer made me wear a mask . probably saved my life . Urinal hadn't been flushed for years . had to repipe the lot . it was like concrete inside lol
Was about to change the taps on my sink that have the flexi tails. What is the issue with turning off those isolation values off and then swapping the taps and flexis? Is it better to switch off at the mains?
Busy one again Mark to be honest i would get that nightmare cylinder re wired to make the motorised open to see if the cylinder heats from the boiler i think it would be easier to make a hole in the wall to access the immersion . Nice to see you on the digger i have just bought one handy bit of kit
Remove and re pipe . Vessel on dhw outlet and tpr look tight too. No access to blick or prv . Technically unsafe. You can't test the system properly. And the intergas boiler will probably have a dedicated hot water flow/return from hex ✌🏻
Been there with the urinals good idea apart from the gloves is get some eye protection I learnt the hard way got a tiny splash of the crystallised gunk in my eye and believe me it really stings….😫
A very nice video good to see Allen again. Good tip to use brass nuts to secure the taps out of interest what size do you ask for for basin and bath taps? Cheers
About the cylinder job. Not sure if you have access to all the fittings on the cylinder to unravel them in order to spin the cylinder around?. I would honestly take the wall down. Love the videos.
Hi Mark, a nice set of jobs there mate and some great jobs coming to the channel in the future. The cylinder job looks a pain, repipe it I think is the way to go, not good to leave it still with restricted or no access. Have a great week and take care, regards Chris. 👍👍👍
That is the only time I would use push fit pipe I have come across that a few times. With crystalized urine in pubs and the smell will definitely wake you up in the morning and not make you want eat in the afternoon depending on how much there is you have to clean 😂😂
Looking forward to the work at Matt Armstrongs place, with all the other lads should be some good banter going on, and maybe he will let you have Rashfords Roller😂.
Id take the wall out and gain access to the tank then full drain down re pipe and turn it around why because you know in future youve done the job properly and have ease for future work..
That urinal. You either filmed it on your knees, or it is installed in a changing room for basketball players. The smell is THE worst ever. Paper mask up and smear eucalyptus oil on the inside. Yuck!
Thanks for that, Mark. Something for everyone in there. I don’t know what that builder was thinking, putting that wall in like that. I bet if he’d just said to the customer, “Sorry, we’ve hit a problem, I didn’t see coming. It’ll be £x to do it right.” then nine times out of ten the customer would be happy to spend the extra rather than have it bodged.
Thats one small shower hope its not big blokes like u trying to shower in there. U could soap the walls then just spin around to shower. Think a cruise ship has a bigger shower 😂 Unless u just marked it small
Hello mr plumber , I noticed 2 black markings on those two 45 degree fittings you used on the waste. Can you explain please to a plumber who’s just starting up his own business. Thanks in advance mr plumber .

Don't touch any valves on a Friday afternoon 😂
Yep I think he did…. And not very well.
Yer I think that clock may do the HW
I would just phone Ben from the pub and say "sorry mate but I don't do plumbing anymore" .
Hahahaah🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Definitely one of them.
Great vid, but I'd like to add another to the list: Blocked Saniflow! Enough to chill the bones of us plumbing types when you get THIS call.
Horrible things…. I’ve done a few videos on them
Always an entertaining channel 👍
Thankyou buddy…. Really Appriciate that mate
got a great tool for cleaning those out
I bet you have mate…👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Well I didn’t know that at all…. Very interesting mate…
Glad you enjoyed the video buddy
Action packed one this week,
Two Alan Hartes 😂,
I’d swing the cylinder around and repipe with press fit 😂
😎👍🤜
Yep loads going on this week…… gotta love Allen🤣🤣
Excellent, Really Real world plumbing, Thanks 😊
Thanks mate 🙌🏼🙌🏼
I had the same issue in my bathroom sink taps and just had them replaced and fixed
Just a new set of back nuts…. Job done
Lots going on, great content. Glad no smells came through on that first job. Can’t wait to see what’s going on at Matts, followed him for years. 😊
Thanks Keith…… yep loads going on
Excellent stuff, im not a plumber but would be tempted to rotate that cylinder if u can, looking forward to the content youve got coming up!
Thanks mate….. it’s an option

🤢🤢….. nasty nasty work
You have managed to make me re-live that smelll !!!
It's one job that I just will not do anymore !!!
You're a braver man than me ! 🤢🤮🤣
Hahahah…. That smell stays with a man 🤣🤣
Yup been there a few times. No smelling salts needed
Hello, new to the channel. World love to see a tool bag tour video, if you don't already have one.
Welcome to the channel buddy…
I must do one as it’s been a while👍🏼
@@MJTiffPlumbing ideal, will look forward to it!
Was about to change the taps on my sink that have the flexi tails. What is the issue with turning off those isolation values off and then swapping the taps and flexis? Is it better to switch off at the mains?
Sometimes they can pass slightly through the bit you turn off…. Not always but this was a Friday afternoon and didn’t want to risk it🤣
Busy one again Mark to be honest i would get that nightmare cylinder re wired to make the motorised open to see if the cylinder heats from the boiler i think it would be easier to make a hole in the wall to access the immersion . Nice to see you on the digger i have just bought one handy bit of kit
Yep the plan is to remove the wall behind the washing machine so you can’t see it….👍🏼👍🏼
Remove and re pipe . Vessel on dhw outlet and tpr look tight too. No access to blick or prv . Technically unsafe. You can't test the system properly. And the intergas boiler will probably have a dedicated hot water flow/return from hex ✌🏻
Yep I agree mate
Problem with that urinal is nobody can be arsed to press the button! Bet that black time clock under the boiler is meant to run the hot water?
Yep…. Those buttons are a pain…
And yep, I agree.. I think it will be aswell
Doing maintenance on urinals is the worst😂 just the smell gets to me but it’s real world plumbing at the end of the day🤷🏽♂️
Nasty job ain’t it mate
Been there with the urinals good idea apart from the gloves is get some eye protection I learnt the hard way got a tiny splash of the crystallised gunk in my eye and believe me it really stings….😫
I bet it does mate….. noted
smash wall out change immersion over hall as necessary fit
new 2 channel clock make good wall with new access to controls act.
Thanks mate…… 👍🏼👍🏼
A very nice video good to see Allen again. Good tip to use brass nuts to secure the taps out of interest what size do you ask for for basin and bath taps? Cheers
Thanks mate….. yep nice to catch up with Allen👍🏼👍🏼
I work in hospital maintenance for 37years had that every week the smell makes you sick.
Nasty isn’t it mate
The builder changed the system boiler into a heat only one
Crazy or what
About the cylinder job. Not sure if you have access to all the fittings on the cylinder to unravel them in order to spin the cylinder around?. I would honestly take the wall down. Love the videos.
Thanks mate….. yep I think it may have to come down
Hi Mark, a nice set of jobs there mate and some great jobs coming to the channel in the future.
The cylinder job looks a pain, repipe it I think is the way to go, not good to leave it still with restricted or no access.
Have a great week and take care, regards Chris. 👍👍👍
Completely agree Chris
Great vid very interesting 👍
Thanks mate
Rotating the cylinder would leave the system fit for purpose and I’d imagine avoid issues with selling the house.
I agree with that mate
Is Allen coming to Bristol? :)
Possibly….
Me name's Allen Hart!
Top top guy is our Allen
That is the only time I would use push fit pipe I have come across that a few times. With crystalized urine in pubs and the smell will definitely wake you up in the morning and not make you want eat in the afternoon depending on how much there is you have to clean 😂😂
Hahahaha very well put
Can you do video on fitting a urinal
Will do when I next get one mate 👍🏼👍🏼
Heyyy Mi names Allen Hart.👍👍
Hahahaha….. gotta love Allen
Eee by gum. He's proper Norf.
Whatever happened to Tom Plumb? The bloke from Wigan?
As usual great video mate,Im not a plumber but your vids are so addictive.
#RealWorldPlumbing
Thanks mate, really appreciate the comment…
So glad you like them

Yep I agree
100 % take the cylinder out and re pipe the whole thing !! 🤠 job previous.
Be a better job 👍🏼
nice mate
Thanks mate
@@MJTiffPlumbing keep up the good work. have you had a holiday mate?
I am a carpenter. Wall out!
👍🏼👍🏼
No point moving the cylinder if he is selling up. Take the wall out.
Update coming soon
What is it with plumbers being bold in england? Lol
Hahaha….. the stress takes your hair mate🤣
@@MJTiffPlumbing I must imagine. I work with 3 plumbers and 2 of them, you guessed it, bold. 🤣
Surely that unvented cylinder should fail compliance due to not being able to access the safety controls?
Yep… completely
The issue with urinal is gents haven’t been pushing that flush button
Yep….. and huge lack of use
Remove the cylender, when the job is done you will be putting your name to leaving it safe, you can't even check if it is safe the way it is.
Yep I agree mate
Do it properly and remove cylinder.
And plumb it in right ready for next owners.
Yep that’s the right way
Outdoor bar
Close 😉
@@MJTiffPlumbinginside bar 😂 A good friend converted his garage to a bar and it’s amazing.
🤣🤣…… there will be a bar…. Along with other bits shall we say😉
How much did you charge for the urinal job?
Not enough 🤣🤢
If stud wall - take wall out
Yep I think that’s a good option
Do you carry a jack hammer in your van to take walls out?
Surprised there wasn't any candles underneath the cylinder to heat it up. 😂
That urinal. You either filmed it on your knees, or it is installed in a changing room for basketball players. The smell is THE worst ever. Paper mask up and smear eucalyptus oil on the inside.
Yuck!
Worst smell in the world
advice mate it will cost
???
Take the wall out mate
It’s an option
Urinals
Up there with saniflo in the horrible jobs steak I'm guessing
Yep….. especially when the are blocked solid like this…🤢
I can smell that calcified lucozade from here 🤮
Hahaha nasty ain’t it
My question is why and how the hell did it get all chucked full of shit like that ?
Not being flushed enough mate
Does annoy me when other trades don't give a monkey about the next guy.
In my mind, they are cowboys, mate.🙄🙄
Good luck with it mate.
To be fair, I can’t believe the plumber knew a wall was going up, and there is a twin programmer, just been covered over.
Yep…. Really annoys me aswell…. And it’s such an obvious bodge
Thanks for that, Mark. Something for everyone in there. I don’t know what that builder was thinking, putting that wall in like that. Thats one small shower hope its not big blokes like u trying to shower in there. U could soap the walls then just spin around to shower. Think a cruise ship has a bigger shower 😂 Unless u just marked it small
Was just for guidence….. we can tweek it where needed
Cylinder out and spin it.
Could be an option
It won’t pass building regulations because it can not be physically serviced, so would suggest spinning it around 🙈🙈
🤘😎🤘🫖☕️🍪🎥👍👍🍰
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Porridge 🤢🤢
Not nice at all is it🤣
