Great info. I do the same thing. I can feel I let go of the club. I also have the issue of letting the left arm collapse trying to get a longer backswing. Can’t wait to give this a try.
Cant wait to purposely do this making sure i dont loosen my grip in back swing.. im hopeful because as ive aged ive felt my back swing has gotten so much shorter and 9 cant seem to help trying to extend it …👍🏼✌️
Hey guys, been loving the videos. Was wondering if you could address a concept that im having trouble wrapping my head around. We have all heard that you should strike ball then take a divot. The divot is always after ther ball. Then why do people on the practice range have these long strips of divots. Shouldnt you be able to put the ball in basically the same place each time and only have 1 divot? This is creating havoc in my brain. Thanks I think what might be a bit confusing here is low point and divot start point
I'm curious how Ed feels about how the wrong grip size may impact your swing? I put midsize grips on all my clubs because I liked the way they felt but I'm considering going back to standard size grips to hopefully help me turn the club over faster. (I'm only 5'7" and 147 lbs)
@@edschwent1630if it doesn’t affect release or club head speed then keep the midsize grips. I use to play tennis and the coach said the more skin u have on the grip the better
Im a similar build and went back to standard grips and want to recommend staying at your midsize without being SURE you want the standard size. The standard size grips make my hands callus up so much due to me gripping it harder. I am making some grip changes trying to neutralize my grip. This is all subjective, but I’d like to add my hands aren’t large. I wear a cadet medium glove. I swing 90g steel, stiff shafts and playing cavity back irons so I don’t have much feel/ workability anyway. The point I’m making is that they just add more reverb to the wrists and feels to the hands. Which I’m turn is not helping my consistency nor speed. If they feel good keep it up and don’t waste your money as I’m considering going back here soon. I’m just a 15 handicap but thought I’d give my 2 cents.
It doesn't matter where your club face is facing at the top of your backswing, the ONLY thing that matters in golf is where yoyr club face is pointing at impact
you take a practice swing short of the ball, and then just reach your arms out farther to the ball. Seems like you should be moving your body closer to the ball ....

Great video. I love your common sense approach to teaching. I really appreciate your videos and your help.
The solving the murder mystery is a great analogy. Love your teaching.

Only concern I have is if it makes your bottom hand to much in the palm. I play with midsize now. Doesn’t effect release or clubhead speed

It’s comforting to know that I don’t have to get the club pointing towards target at top of backswing

That's hook city for me.
Some close it some open it!
