Going from a pulling movement at the top to a pushing moment in the down swing is most revealing in order to properly pivot through the shot. Very helpful concept. Thank you.
Good clear video with nice camera angles! One thing I’ve consistently questioned in my lessons and videos such as this one, is when to release the club? This instruction (which I’ve had similar in lessons) suggests holding onto the club and face angle but the tricky bit is releasing it through like you mention. Its often contributed to the infamous chicken wing when holding onto the ‘push’.
Excellent video - tieing this in the other 3 in the series just makes such huge sense. Not sure what is meant by the left shoulder and left arm sitting down?
Wow perfect timing. You helped me improve my swing but recently I went off slightly after an injury, and my fast arms and slight early extension reared it's head again. Your point on pulling vs pushing clicked, as I definitely pull so thanks. I realise that I really need to warm up better with the hands moving around the hips, I think I tend to "tack that on the end" of my early extension.... Hence my woes...
So glad this popped up on my recommended watch list today. I’m transitioning from a flip the club at impact (I.e. path and face to impact roughly 4 to 5 degrees from the inside at impact) I’ve always hit the ball solid. When I’m on it’s great but most of the time it’s inconsistent. I’m willing to work at being consistent and I’m working on this method of club head delivery. Do you offer online videoing coaching? Thank you.
Hey Mike - super happy you found me and my channel and many thanks for the insights to your game. I do indeed online coaching on “Skillest” a coaching platform. You can find a link to my profile in the description of any of my videos. Best wishes Stu
I've started doing little mini swings from parrallel to parrallel with the trail hand only and in bare feet. Using one hand is understanding the work that hand does and the no shoes really emphasises the pressure transfer from toe to heel. Try it out 😂 Good to have you back coach
Stu, can I check something with you please. I use interlock grip, and I've often wondered (looking at various tips on downswing/rotation) if I switched to a two handed grip - would that help encourage me to push thru more with my right hand? (plus make it harder to flip) Cheers
......great way to start a Saturday Stu....once again making everything make sense.......I do have one question for you. When you say left shoulder down during follow thru, are you saying the thru swing is more level than one might think?...... thanks ⛳🍺
......sitting here tinkering. I'm thinking maybe you mean the shoulder sitting down more against the rig cage or maybe a combination of that and also being a little more level...... definitely looking forward to Wednesday. Until then, nobody is listening, shhhhh, am I at least warm??? 😁⛳🍺 @@GoodGolfCoaching
I take it to mean one wants the right hand to be "ahead of" or rather 'in front of" the right shoulder not "directly underneath" the right shoulder in the delivery position??
@@GoodGolfCoaching The problem is with the terminology. "In front of" can mean the right hand is in front of the right shoulder towards the ball or "in front of" towards the target. It is never clear what the meaning is when the words"in front of" are used. Towards the ball or towards the target? Hence the enquiry. I initially interpreted the right hand to be "in front of" to mean just that and towards the ball and that is wrong. "In front of" in your context means getting the right hand away from the right shoulder towards the target not towards the ball. Both are meanings of in front of"" are otherwise literally correct but not in the context of your lesson...
Watching this before taking on Port Royal in Bermuda…..you just raised my confidence….great coach

lol my pleasure.
One of your best, thanks so much for helping my consistently this past season. still having some issues taking enough of a divot though 😁
My pleasure David, thanks so much for being here. Best wishes Stu

Lovely to hear from you; I talk about the release in a lot of my videos. Start with my broom series to start with a good foundation.
One of the best you've done, that. Probably a great warm up drill any time we play
Thanks so much Kieran. Much appreciated my friend.

Quality Stuart, can’t wait to take this one down the driving range 👍
My pleasure Lawrence; please let me know how it goes my friend!!

Haha thanks Doug! Keep it up!
Really enjoying this series. The parallel to parallel drill, aka 9 to 3, is wonderful. Welcome back Stu. Cheers.

Absolutely not Lee. Baseball grip is the devils work in golf.
Cheers, problem avoided..

Such a great great question Gary - standby for next weeks video coming Wednesday that will answer this precise question. Best wishes Stu

I love it!!!
Thanks so much Mike 😊

I referenced this multiple times, I thought 🤔, but yes, exactly right.

No problem - but I did reference multiple times in front of the shoulder. 😊
@@GoodGolfCoaching Again in front of the shoulder could mean closer to the ball not the target.
Ok
