Thanks TJ. I liked your video on weight shift. I was searching for an answer to how to be more efficient and I found what you were showing to really answer some of my questions. So I've been finding more of your videos to help me understand my swing even better. Having good results in the course. Thanks!
I was on my first launch monitor recently and learned a lot (I think). I am down with my driver. If I remember correctly -3 and spin was 4000. I feel I leave a lot of distance on the table. Will try this and see. Appreciate the content and the time put into it.
Yes, with those numbers you definitely have some room to improve. It is just physics and geometry at that point. Now you need a plan to improve those! I appreciate the comment and you watching!
There is nothing more valuable to ball striking improvement than having a launch monitor at home. Personally have the BLP and have watched my game improve so much just knowing my impact numbers.
I couldn’t agree more. Once you establish a baseline it is much easier to make adjustments. It’s tough to make changes without knowing certain info. With LM getting better and more cost effective you will see a lot more dedicated golfers with them at home.
the one thing that always stands out to me is my club face angle to path. I am constantly 5-10 degrees open to my path and the path is typically pretty decent around +-2
Face control is one of the most challenging pieces of the puzzle. There are many cause and effects related to open face at impact. I just saw your other comment and I’m going to film a video addressing it.
Great advice! Problem is to find a device that gives me launch angles and spin loft, usually it's easier to find them in a golf simulator. Trackman IO, which I use, at this time, does not offer launch angles and spin loft. And it isn't inexpensive either, regardless of what launch monitor you use. Golf is becoming too expensive to play, especially those who are on limited incomes.
You are correct. Golf is definitely not a low cost activity as a whole. I’m actually going to do a video about setting up a home practice station for a variety of budgets. As good as the Trackman io is you are correct about it missing some important data points at the moment. Thank you very much for watching and adding to the conversation. I appreciate it!
Is there such a thing as having the ball to much off the front foot using the driver??? I'm 77 and now am using ure tutoring to break 100 again hehehehee
Thanks for the question and for watching! I am glad to be a part of your journey. Short answer is yes. You can have the ball too far forward with the driver. This can cause such issues as swaying and a club path that meets the ball as it is exiting left (assuming you are a a righty). It can also cause thin and topped shots as well. There is a fine line though. Too far back will cause other issues. I appreciate you watching and let’s break 100! I am actually going to do a series on breaking 100 at some point so stay tuned!

@@TJVGolf Thank you!
Very helpful! I've had a lot of issues while driving hitting down on the golf ball. Looking forward to making your recommended adjustments. Thanks!
No problem at all! Let me know how it goes and I appreciate you watching!

Have always been reluctant to go on a launch monitor. Afraid of what I will see ha
Can’t stress enough. If you want to improve find a coach that has one and can walk you through the how’s and whys.
