What I like the most about Kevin is that he is always trying to teach natural body mechanics, swings that feel natural, and not over complicated. Great stuff.
Great lesson. I've been working hard lately for the effortless swing. I would say giving up the arm control by loosening the tension and trusting your body swing mechanics been the most difficult part. Swing tempo has slowed down immensely and swing speed & path improved. Increased my irons by 15yds and driver 25 yds in carry. Using the ground to pivot and hinge with free flowing club connected to my relaxed arms is key my friends. Also, now I see a similar ball flight pattern one way miss with way smaller dispersion. Listen and learn with Kevin and any other instructors teaching this method. Be patient and carefully experiment with a swing monitor which feel is giving you the most output. Most will be surprised how the most easiest swing is the longest and fastest.
Great video! You stay the back to the target and the arms close to the body in the initial phase of the backswing. That is what enables you to unleash such power IMO
I had left wrist surgery about 3 weeks ago. I am right handed and never had a really good release, I just muscled the club and could kill it. Except being old now killing it the old way doesn't cut it anymore lol. So, I have been doing nothing but practicing the right hand release Kevin shows here, and at first it felt strange of course. Now after doing it a few thousand times it feels much more natural. I can't wait until I can use both hands again. I will probably only practice release left hand only next. Them both together on swing.
Out curiosity what is your ball speed/Club head speed for driver? I want to play in the 170s for ball speed but stuck in the mid to high 150s so looking to employ your trainings here
What that does is get your weight behind the club head instead of the butt end. Timing is crucial. The slight pause that gets your body ready for the downswing.
I’m so conflicted, so many different teaching styles and ways to swing the club. Is this more releasing at the ball vs. releasing past/through the ball?
I enjoy how the RUclips ‘swing tippers’ contradict each other about the same swing topic. During my instructor years, I taught my clients the role of the trail arm, not just the elbow, there’s a difference and it has a direct impact to squaring the club face at impact.
logic would say "slightly bent" and I'm pretty sure google image search of "pro at driver impact" would reveal most pros as arms bent at impact with driver
Really like the content of your channel! What I am not so happy about though, is the repetitive use of amateurs vs. professionals. I have played with very good amateurs (+2 - +5 hcp) who were in quite another league than deasent golfers who had registered as professionals. Also, there are a lot of teaching pros who are far from beeing (very) good golfers. Apart from that; I love watcing your effortless swing and your explanations of how you do this. Thank You! 😃
If you are slow it doesn't matter how perfectly you Release the golf clubhead. You are still shorthitter. Sure you can gain some distance but easy 300 yards... keep dreaming.
You make that look so easy. I feel like even I can do that. And then I get into the booth and still continue to hit my driver like absolute dog shit. It's embarrassing.
haha yea his carry number is right around 300 - if he is getting 20 plus of roll out great everyone knows that always varies. Carry number is where it is at.
Nice but club face and path can derail everything you just said . No question what you say about angles and proper release but if club face isn’t square to your path I promise that ball is not going anywhere near 300 yds . And even if I as a 66 yr old do everything you said , it’s not going 300 yds .. very few people on this planet can hit a golf ball 300. I wish it were that easy.
@@wibm got a chance to work with Adam when I was living in LA and I have nothing but good things to say! The most important thing is to record your swing and take a look to see what your personal swing/ swing faults looks like 👍🏼
You cannot hit 335 without massive clubhead speed, unless you are hitting into a screen, then you can do it with a 97 mph swing. These videos are getting tiresome. Ever see bryson hit 335? Is he relaxed. You would get 245 on a golf course with your swing

@ It’s a valid point. Also though, I feel that unless you’re playing on 7,000+yds PGA Tour type courses, 250-275 yds and being on the fairway is just fine…
There is nothing effortless about moving a club 120mph. And there is no way you are hitting the ball that far. We are pulling the handle because that what the RUclips experts are telling us. Haven’t you heard about casting? Absolutely do not sledge hammer with the wrists. You obviously also have never done construction.
@ yeah, and the major increase in muscle mass and the speed training work all came with no effort. What makes you think you can even approach talking about the biggest hitter on tour?
@@alexandermayer2026 also casting is bad sequencing pulling your hands forward does not cure casting. I’m not Bryson but he is right. Not everyone can hit over 300 yards but they can improve over time
Bad lesson, and your LM is not accurate. On top of that, you are over 6ft tall… very misleading edge that masks bad teaching. Be better. As well you total driver length is very long… I hit 340 on average with a 45” total length and I’m well under 6ft… your teachings aren’t going to help anyone. Also, no ball rolls almost 40 yards on the ground on a shot that goes 300 carry. Everything about this video is wrong. Stop teaching and play golf.
@@edwarddelavilla3475 my driver length might look long because of the camera lense but it is standard length. Also I am pretty sure that is not the carry number because later on in the video I hit the ball 298 yards and the number says 308
