So the video really ends around the 8:15 mark, but I'm a terrible editor and left some additional footage at the end of the video. Skip to 11:50 to check out more!

You know, it's like that hidden bonus track on audio CDs. You'd have the last track that would play for maybe 4 minutes, then have 12 minutes of silence, you just about fall asleep, especially if you were listening to that CD in bed on your cheap Discman clone to sleep better, and then boom, something is hitting your eardrums and putting that big smile on your face.

RGT, if you had a time machine and the nicest era-appropriate camcorder, like Betacam or whatever, where and when would you go and what would you film?

You can fix that problem without loosing views and comments. When you play your own video there are several options below the video. One of them is "Enhancement" click that and once inside click "Trim". After you trimmed the unwanted portion of the video click "Done" then click "Save". This trick only works if your video has less than 100,000 views.

I went there in '93, so I didn't get to see this display. However, I did get to see and play both Virtua Racing and Virtua Fighter when they had just released. I already was a SEGA diehard, but when I saw those arcade cabinets for the first time; not only was a blown away, but I knew I had to get SEGA's upcoming 32 bit system. The experience of playing Virtua Racing in the arcade, with 8 other players who were literally from around the world stays with me, and is my favorite memory from Disney World.

Yo dude! I went there in 1997 with my family and then back again in 1999 which was smaller and all focused on the Dreamcast. It blew my mind and I had gone to SEGA heaven! I remember playing Vectorman 2 in 1997 there and making it my most asked for game for Christmas that year!

Spent 3 days there July 4th weekend, the summer before I started high school. Had a lot of fun, dominated on the 8 player Indy 500 machine there (pissed off a lot of cocky 20 somethings), one of the only games there that wasn't free.

I remember going to Innoventions at Epcot in 1996 for a friend's birthday. First time I got to play Guardian Heroes on the Sega Saturn. Awesome times!
If you want an awesome Sega theme park experience, check out Joyopolis just outside Tokyo in Japan. Its Sega's very own theme park. I went last year and its a lot of fun.

The 90's were the best. I miss sega i wish some how they could at least start to make games like they used too. I would like 5 series from them 1 more time and i would be good.
    Panzor dragoon 4
    crazy taxi 4
    PSO 4
A modern take on streets of rage (like 2.5D)
And finally a new toe jam and earl
And a jet set game wouldn't hurt either.

You know, it's kind of crazy but I was at that exact place in Disney when this Sega display was going on too, and I completely forgot about it as well. but this video reminded me. I don't remember much about it, but I think my parents didn't give me a lot of time to spend there since I had 3 other siblings that were much much younger than I was and wanted to go do little kid things. I also remember playing some extremely primitive 90's Virtual Reality game with a giant headset when I was there too.

+Peter von Feldt proof ? besides the video here you mean ?... My good sir well as an addendum to my former statement I have high speed watched the presentation again 8 additional times using facial recognition software with no hits confirmed not even a nose, also the admitted fact that RGT had no initial original memory of the visit and finally that his elderly and possibly early stage alzheimer's mother was the only one to confirm a visit there after much prodding from one starry-eyed and severely over-excited RGT all but slams the door on the poor boy ever having been there per this video...

  • @AaronPaluzzi
    @AaronPaluzzi 7 лет назад

Yep. I was there. I remember this. What was even more interesting was what was in a different area of innoventions at the time. In what used to be the "computer revue" attraction Disney Imagineers were demonstrating a very early VR experience where you would don a huge head mounted display that was tied to SGI equipment. In the simulation you were on the magic carpet chasing Iago through the streets of Agrabah. This game was a prototype being demoed to determine interest in what later became DisneyQuest. The game was in Disneyquest early on. It was a pretty cool experience if you were lucky enough to get chosen to test it out

So, there was another time after this when SEGA came to Epcot again to show off the Dreamcast, and specifically Shenmue. It had to have been either '99 or very early 2000. I got to go, and it was amazing. They had kiosks and monitors playing games like Sonic Adventure, Soul Calibur, Power Stone, NFL 2K, NBA 2K, etc. But then they also had a whole other room, separate from everything else, just showing off Shenmue. To make a long story short, I was completely blown away, and I remember deciding that day that I would be eventually getting a Dreamcast just for the Shenmue series. It's a very special memory for me, and I'm always hoping a video of it will pop up somewhere. It's very cool that this video was found!

As soon as I heard you say Sega and Epcot Center, I thought of being 8 yrs old and seeing Michael Jackson's Captain E.O. movie in Disneyworld. The Sega connection in my head was in the Genesis version of Moonwalker on the cemetary stage , they couldn't get the rights to Thriller so they play Just Another Part of Me which was actually played at the end of the Captain E.O. movie. Just my 2 cents 😁

I was there to see that too. I remember they were pushing a lot of VR stuff then. Sega had a VR demo where you hunted eggs in a castle and could shoot other people running around or perhaps bots. It was a massive headset that was suspended from the ceiling and you had to stand in a ring that was about waist height. I didn't play much else though because we had games at home and my family looked at games as just a way to waste time.

    Greatest years of gaming.
    I had an NES too
but wasn't impressed with my neighbor's Genesis enough to get one besides NES was still pumping out great games.
But the Sonic the Hedgehog theme was catchy and great series
I patiently waited for my SNES and it did not disapoint.
too bad most of Genesis games for me we're ruff looking and had bad sound and controls
but I have one now that I rescued from a childhood friend that was going to throw it away and I'm finding some nice Genesis gems Shinobi is one of my all time favorites especially the arcade version (when i was a kid).
SEGA did have some of the best Arcades out there much respect.
    Awesome upload man thank you!!

A lot of people thought Sega vs Nintendo could have gone either way? No, nobody who mattered thought that, and no it absolutely could NOT have gone either way. It truly went the only way it could have except Sega is lucky to continue to exist in any form whatsoever, even as an Atari-style licensing shell -- mainly by way of Nintendo's good graces.

The best reason to go to Epcot at the time. I played panzer dragoon and virtual on for the first time there. It's the reason I ended buying a Saturn. Man I miss my Saturn

I beat the entire first disc of Panzer Dragoon Saga there one year. I missed that place. The Virtua Racing set up was amazing.

Those 90's day's were those glory day's of us born in the late 70's/early 80's and for sega itself.
What a cool rare footage, wich proves again why the 90's were sooo hot!!!

Prototype Images of the SatAM Sonic Cartoon at 4:55. Back then, it would air on ABC Saturday Mornings. Sadly, it got bested by Power Rangers. The fact that Bubsy's pilot bombed screwed Video Game Cartoons out of the existence for a time, Still, I'm glad I have EarthWorm Jim.
