I’ve wanted to buy a good 100% rye, so I was eyeing on Whistle pig 10, but then I sampled Archie Rose Rye Malt, I immediately bought it. The only problem is it’s expensive! I’d love to try the red gum variant.
Archie Rose is definitely making some interesting expressions!

Great to see soo many Australian whiskies featured I really like Starward and their finishes. Amazing amount of tastings mate!!! You denied a bunch of whiskies and I agree with most of them.

I definitely lean towards giving whiskies the benefit of the doubt, so if I reject it, it's usually pretty poor in my eyes.

Incredible List of tasting. I can fully agree with Bowmore evaluation. But for me is interesting your opinion for Bulleit Rye. I had bottle and for me excellent whisky , spicy and full of flavour. Have a nice day to Australia from Central Europe.
Thanks for watching! I must say though I am not the biggest Rye drinker so that plays a part in my take on it, plus trying some other Ryes that I much more prefer over it factors into my opinion 🥃😊

Hell of a lot I havne't tried, but enjoyed your quick concise reviews. The ones I have tried mostly agreed, however I will disagree with the Chivas 12, I didnt like it, it's not for me, the 18 on the other hand I thought was great & a very affordable 18yo. As a cheap every day sipper I'd suggest the the Dewars 12 or 15. I think both are better than the White Label & 18yo expressions, surprisingly great value for money.

Finally! Someone mentioned 5NINES. Such an underrated SA distillery. I haven't tried the sherry as it's nearly $300 :o
Yeah it is criminally underrated, just wish it was reasonably priced

- Ardbeg 10
- BenRiach The 12
- Port Charlotte 10 Heavily Peated
- Either of the Cape Byron expressions
- Chivas 18
- Glen Scotia 15
- GlenAllachie 12
- Glencadam 10 / 15
- Virtually any GlenDronach
- Glenfarclas 15
- Any Ledaig
- Talisker Port Ruighe

Are missing the Talisker 10 though, and maybe also the Aran 10 and my personal favorite Craigellachie 13.

@@McIntyresMalts They changed the 15 blending recipe since May 2022, not as good as b4. You should try the new 18, it is much more better than present 15.🤌
