    I single tracked a 125 for years when I started riding figured if I could master it anywhere then a 250 would do me fine when I'm older, but now I'm older I miss the thrill of a 125 lol

      I have been riding bigger bikes forever and im now 38 years old and ended up getting a 125x. Was super skeptical going that small of an engine but its too much fun!!! More fun than any 250 or 300 ive been on. I still want a 250 or 300 for when i want to be lazy but i dont want to get rid of the 125. I need it now for when i really want to ride aggressively. Its a mountainbike with a hornets nest attached.

    Out of the box, this is what dirt biking is meant to be, simple, zippy and a good time! Yamaha should give you a kick back as this video makes me sold on the 125!

    First off, there is no such thing as a perfect bike. But the YZ125X is pretty darn close in my opinion. The OEM hand grips are garbage and the transmission could shift smoother but everything else it does really really well. Very glad I bought this bike it is so much fun to ride!

    Any idea if this bike had the stock jetting when you rode it? Just picked up a 23 125x and trying to get it dialed in. The stock setup is a bit rich, this one you're riding sounds on point.

      No clue, sorry. It was a demo bike but I would think they would adjust it for the location.

      @@ShiftGearsMoto I thought so too but mine were pretty close to the yz450f and yz250. I’m way too large of a person for a 125 though (6’3”, 210 lbs). Maybe that makes a difference

    • @trevorjameson3213
      @trevorjameson3213 Год назад

      The 125X has much better low end torque and mid range power than a standard YZ125. Also the gears are a little wider on the X model. The suspension is also a little softer so it's good for trail riding and not rough. Better bike in my opinion, I rode one and it's really great!

      Im 230 and just got one. Its amazing. Way faster than i expected for a 125. Im used to 250 and 300. I havent ridden a 125 in decades. Most fun ever! If i could get below 200 pounds it would be even more fun than it already is for me. I was completely wrong second guessing its displacement. But if your still not convinced im sure the 250x will also be very fun.havent ridde one yet but they are featherlight as well
