IMMORTALITY IN MY LAST CK2 GAME?! YES! How lucky can one be! As lucky as KOIFISH, the best Crusader Kings 2 player there EVER was and will be! 100% better than anyone else!
Join me, Koifish, as I do one last playthrough of Crusader Kings 2, or CK2 as most call it, before Crusader Kings 3 comes out! We're finishing were we started, as the OG viking Sigurd Ring, father of Ragnar Lothbrok!
In this CK2 immortal viking challenge, I attempt to form the Empire of Scandinavia within one lifetime! Tho as it seems, that lifetime will be FOREVER!
This video also features a sneak peak into my upcoming Crusader Kings 3 Let's play, as well as the date of my early launch stream!
Crusader Kings 2 is a wonderful medieval strategy game, made by Paradox. There's vikings, knights, nomads and crusaders! I'm really looking forward to the new and upcoming CK3, which will feature the same, and much much more!
I'm playing with all DLC, including Holy Fury, which adds a whole lot of stuff to the pagans! Such as the Wolf Warriors, easily my favorite society to join!

well tbf Sigurd Ring is probably one of the most OP starts in the whole game, disregarding Abbasids, Byzantines and other Emperors.

When your vassal tries to subjugate a title higher or equal than your own and wins that vassal becomes independent. What you can do, however, is to declare war on the title-in-the-process-of-being-subjugated and get warscore from occupations your vassal did, you can just steal his victory from him like this

It's a pity how rarely the immortality event chain triggers, especially since the mystic can be a fake (which is a hidden variable that makes your quest always fail).

The fact you managed to get the immortality event to actually succeed in of itself is a miracle. There's a 90% chance they're fake and every event has a ridiculous chance of failure or death. Kudos

You just removed 1 way for your King to die: The Heroes of the Wolf Warriors can not be killed in battles! (Indomitable: You can no longer suffer lethal injuries on the battlefield. )
There is another event in your guild where you can go to foreign land (either Constatinople or Arabian lands I belief) and duel the powerful people of that region.. As far as I remember you can do it when you are a hero and you look at your guild some bar going up and down depending on the success of your guild..
Or there is some event you need to do.. Not sure, but I do remember there is a pretty amazing and a very powerful bloodline if you survive.. Which I only 1 time managed.. Encountered people with far above a hundred personal combat skills or you have to fight a bear..
That is I think a pretty interesting ending.. Because you can expect like 5 powerful duels in a row

As much as i will admit it. I don't think even with CK3 released i will stop playing CK2. Specially since Hordes are not playable and i am sure big mods won't be available for a while on CK3 (specially the AGOT mod, since im sure they will have to spend a lot of time with 3D models)

Honestly for me i dont think i will ever pick CK3 up but if i did i would never touch certain mechanics because there are some good things about CK3 and some terrible things im probably the minority so i hope i will see some CK2 sticking around
CK3 isn't even out yet so i think a lot can change in a few years of CK3 development. What are the things you don't like about CK3?

@@sgt_weed Mostly the horrendous simplification of the battles and partially the changing of the law names .
The issue with the battles is that they didnt make it easier to access by making a tutorial or anything of the sort, they literally ripped EU4s combat and simplified it to the ground. I for one enjoyed the complexity of CK2 battles with subcommanders, different flanks, their traits, their martial and winning an amazing battle due to it, it just feels like they stripped away the complex nature just so new players dont feel overwhelmed for playing a grand strategy game which just puts me off of it. Also the next thing being they simplified the succession and gender law names as well because people couldnt be asked to go over and read what it says apparently the fixed it but i dont know
@@cursedex3755 I understand what you mean (I also really enjoy the flanking system in CK2) but i think that knights in CK3 may be a really good altenative to commanders in CK2 and for me battles are not the most important thing in CK. A lot of things today are getting more and more simplistic which often I don't like but it doesn't hinder me to at least try these new things and make my own opinion
@@sgt_weed Yeah i agree guess i'll try it for myself and see if its any better or not but it does have some really cool mechanics like the religious reformation and herises and what not but we will have to wait and see for Sept 2nd
