Being a Mechanical engineer and a designer in automotive field, I have following observations. I was looking for a family bike for city rides mostly with a flat (horizontal seat), circular headlamp and retro-like + premium design (not like 100-150cc bikes). After exploring lot of bikes, I finalized three options to compare. 1. Honda H'ness 350 CC 2. Royal Enfield Hunter Rebel 350 CC 3. TVS Ronin 225 CC I test drove all 3 vehicles 2-3 times and following are my observations, 1. Honda H'ness 350 CC - *Pros* - Nice retro/classic look, Low end torque is good, Seating space for pillion rider is more than other two vehicles. *Cons* - Bulkier (Box size), Paint quality, Higher cost as compared to other two vehicles 2. Royal Enfield Hunter Rebel 350 CC - *Pros* - Beautiful Design/Styling/Look, Great color schemes, Turning radius is smaller than Ronin (Less space to turn the vehicle), Reasonable cost. *Cons* - The biggest issue (design flaw) is positioning of foot rest (pegs), just below the sitting position. This makes it difficult to keep your feet on ground while you are at signal or in slow moving traffic. Foot rest (pegs) keep touching your legs and is very uncomfortable. Another point is that seat on rear end tapers downward and seating space for pillion rider being less, pillion rider tend to move back and when you accelerate, pillion may feel like toppling/falling down at back side. So this is not safe and hence, back rest is MUST. Handle bar positioned in such a way that you need to keep your hands stretched straight all the times which is not a comfortable sitting posture. Low end torque/performance (2 & 3 gear) is sluggish due to bigger engine. (Not as good as smaller capacity bikes) 3. TVS Ronin 225 CC - *Pros* - Semi-retro look with circular headlamp, Driveability and Performance is superb. Handle bar position is very good for comfortable sitting posture with hands slightly bent in elbows. Very easy to handle in traffic. *Cons* - Very bad design/aesthetics of fuel tank (some odd shape), Color schemes are odd (not impressive), Turning radius is higher than Hunter (Needs larger space to turn the vehicle). Cost is on higher side for lower CC as compared to Hunter (mainly due to features). Overall, none of them is meeting my requirements (as mentioned above) and hence, I decided to wait for Kawasaki W175 or Yamaha XSR or Improved version of Royal Enfield Hunter. All the best! Delighted that your observations on all the 3 bikes matches to my perception. Kawasaki 175 is rumoured to be launched but felt that its power and torque output would not match up to my requirements as even my Gixxer155 cc has more power and torque and it looks like a cheap Chinese brand and definitely would be expensive to own and maintain. Earlier, was keen for BMW 310 R but upon learning about its higher scheduled maintenance cost and spares (headlight costs Rs 52,000), I dropped this idea. Also pinned my hope on Bajaj Triumph forthcoming bike but upon assessing the videos I feel that with the hugh radiator it would emanate more heat like the Jawas, Yezdi's and it's rearset footpegs are not to my liking. Notwithstanding Ronin's higher turning radius shortcomings, prefererred Ronin due to: *Flatter seat *Higher ground clearance *All led lightnings *Smooth engine, slip and Assist clutch , GTT technology enabling to ride on higher gears at lower speeds *Lesser weight *Inverted front forks *Better ergonomics for fatigue free long rides *Mileage would be better than Hunter *To reduce the rear bulky looks ,have prefererred the black DS version for better visual appeal than the Top version having disproportionate large mudguard. *Closed chain guard to lower chain maintenance In my State (Odisha) there is stricter speed limits and hence felt it prudent to prefer 225 CC Ronin which would be more than adequate for my occasional long distance rides and probably be economical to maintain. TVS has been upgrading its products ever since it's Ind Suzuki launch and trust that Ronin would match to my requirements like my RX 100 days.
@@sudhansuranjanmohapatra6429 Nice to know that our observations are similar. I agree that finally Ronin is better choice than Hunter (if you don't want to wait for other brands/models to meet all your requirements) because in Ronin mainly looks is the issue but in Hunter foot pegs & low end torque along with difficult maneuvering/handling are the performance issus which one will have to face every time while riding.

Hello broda.. it's a great great video.. i really appreciate the time and effort you have put to make this video. So i had to ask coz i am planning to buy cb350rs. Is it Ok to attach a big engine bash plate to protect the engine from dirt rather than putting a rubber mud flap on the front mudguard though time to time i will clean the whole bike say monthly once? The point of this for me is to protect the design statement of the bike which i like a lot.
I have done 2600 kms (Delhi 🔁 Asansol) on this bike after its 1st service, it’s awesome on highways. Also got an avg of 45-46 kmpl. Thanks for recommending this bike Cheers
Yes front mudguard sound is annoying me also.complained several times .they fix the problem and it again starts. Purchased it on feb24,2022. My handle lock started giving me trouble and it' was not locking properly. I had complained 2 times but they temporarily fixed it during servicing.third time I cautioned them seriously and demanded for replacement of new ignition cum handle lock. Yet again they fixed it temporarily and I refused to take the bike.after speaking with some manager they agreed to replace lock but charged me 150 as fitting charge. Why do I need to pay for the manufacturing defect when the vehicle is still under warranty and clocked just 1600 kms in total. I sometimes feel that Honda released cb series just for timepass. They need to think about the brand image and improve the quality after taking suggestions from users.
Hello, sir I just saw you video on RUclips about cb 350 pros n cons... Even i faced a problem on front side later i rectified it ... I noticed that front mudguard and mudguard Holder had direct fastened so I used silicon rubber washer plates on all four screws of mudguard and I went on trail booomm!!! the sound was vanished.....
Hey i have recently purchased CB350 Rs, I am also facing the same issue. There is some unwanted sound coming out while passing a pothole or breaker. I have extended the length of front mudguard with a Mudguard extender. Is this the reason for the sound or something else. Kindly help me understand how to get rid of this.
@@vedchoudhary6232 pls remove the mudguard extender and check if the noise still exits then go to service centre and check the cone set setting it ll be fine..
Only the Worst Thing of Honda is Its Cost of Price is Very Much High I have Honda SP 125 And its Brake Pad Price is 1380 For 125 CC its too Much Expensive even Expensive than R15 U think CB 350 Disc Pad Price is More Than 2000-2500
Great review. M planning to buy highness but mildly confused between CB350 Rs and highness. I like highness better after the test drive but i like looks of RS more.
I have classic 350 and honda hornet 160r as my daily commute. Now i want new bike so please tell me which is better for me meteor 350 or cb 350. (Note- i dont want to go above 350 cc)
My friend told me that Handle wobbling issue hai isme, please explain. I have driven his bike its smooth as butter but i am relaxed driver i never got above 65 km 2 nd gear.
Front Shocker sound , rear mudguard sound and rusting within wielding joints is the problem I am having too. Even the service centre also cannot resolve the issue.
Confused between RE Interceptor 650(dream bike but not the practical one bcoz of tube tire) and I leaning towards Honda Hyness due to its practicality. Which one should I go for ?
I’m planning to buy a bike but confused b/w Highness 350 & CB350 RS I want to use this machine as city ride nd touring also Please suggest which is best for me among these two bike.
hello, dr anoop mathew from kerala, owner of cb350 anniversary edition. problems: 1. mudguard - shock absorber hitting metal clancky sound in front suspension set up. solution: honda service centre have rubber bush ,they place it between the mudguard n shock assembly which dampens the noise to 75%. 2. my major issue is - conset loosening, this causes handle bar getting less shock absorption leading to slight rocking of handle bar on uneven roads, further his causes wobbling of bike wen handle is left handsfree. solution: visit service centre fpr tightening conset or replacement of the same. rest all working absolutely perfect ❤️
Very good reviews... I just got it home today.. Highness anniversary edition.... Ride for 99 km on a highway from guwahati to Shillong.... Like it.... Feels good especially on the rain all the way.... Like you said you always have to shift gears.... Its not really a cruiser where you can relax.... But overall its a good bike and smooth engine. How do i join the community?
I am confused between cb350 and classic350. Most areas cb350 wins. What about the length of seat, if 2 adult and 1 kid to be seated looks like, classic has longer seat and comfortable. Pls suggest
Cb350 has a longer and more comfortable seat for both pillion and rider in terms of rider comfort classic is slightly better but for pillion cb350 is much better.
Thanks for the detailed review. As t you said this bike has long gears, so I live in an area where there are a lot of sharp turns and ally ways. I was wandering if that long gear will be problematic or not?
Yes engine knocks even at 15kph at 2nd which is frustrating, you have to constantly shift between 1 and 2 nd, I also own an fz and it has no problem picking up from 5kmph even at 2nd, never faced engine knocking...This bike is good on highways.
Hi Bro....Please comapre between Hunter 359 and CB 350.....as my heart is with cb but mind is with hunter....Slightly confused b/w the two as re has wider channel of service along with neew launches with j platform. Mostly into city rides and occassional rides is my forte....Pls guide which one to go for.?
After the 1st service I started noticing sound from the front chain sprocket.. Lubrication is not the issue and the chain is clean and is in good condition.. is that normal?
Bro the mudguard thing has happened to me. I was so scared that I broke something, but couldn’t figure out where the sound is coming from. Now, i have kind of accepted the sound, but it does hurt to hear it every time you go over a pothole or a speed breaker and there are lots of them in Bangalore.
I have completed 11k km on hness but my main issue is that the avg i get from bike is 30 to 33 bcz my daily km are 40 km which includes highway and city and bumper to bumper traffic.. and i make sure that i ride on eco mode then to the same issue…. Its request that you can suggest me how do i increase my bike avg… i spoked with honda also but they said that some clients faces the same issues… Awaiting for your support and help
i had booked hunter (blue)on the day of launch, allotted and bike at showroom since 14th. but cancelling after test drive due to i) suspension is not good- my 14 year old pulsar gives the same experience. ii) Bike is too compact to my liking. manoeuvrability is top notch.. exhaust is more on the treble side, not bass. but good.

I am facing stiff chain issue after completing just 1000 kms despite cleaning and lubing the chain every 600 to 700 kms. Warranty claim was rejected by Honda saying that it is because of wear and tear. I have used many bikes before and never faced this problem.
@@asjadk2000 Stiff chain is when there is less or no lubricant between links. As a result of this if we look at the chain it appears to be bent in lot of places rather than a straight line. This is very dangerous and the chain can get cut anytime or ruin the sprockets.
Everything u said was acceptable including low grip nature of rear tyre......so i want to get a nice gripy rear tyre ...pls suggest me a good one...another thing is can i change my rear tyre to 140 section with a block pattern tyres...mine is a anniversary edition... brother kindly suggest me a good idea
Very detailed explanation from a ownership perspective, I agree on the slipper clutch and smoothness and build quality . However few things I disagree on are the headlight, the halogen unit on classic is still better than this one. There is a small hardness on the gear lever when shifting from 1st to 2nd , other gears it is smooth. I own both classic 350 (2016) and cb 350rs (2020) model.
good one as usual... I am planning to book CB350, but to decide the variant. shortlisted in the order of preference i) limited edition black (on road 245467-chennai- includes RSA, extended warranty, and handling charges 3k) -waiting period 2 months ii) RS variant, readily available, on road 243411,dual tone iii)DLX ,few colours readily available- any colour 20 days , on road 237226 whats your take on this..? test ride done on both hness and RS , both are equally good. whether the bluetooth option actually good? can we set destination in the mobile app? (or only ATMs, gas stations etc)
Sir. 1st isuue jo apne bataya..weird sound on front head during off road and speed breakers. I am facing the same However, couldn't resolve by bigwing service. It really irritates 😒 me. As well I dislike the part fittings of the bike. Think you are at 80-90 speed and your seat single fitted at back nut screw falls. And I realized it at the speed breaker that my seat has come out. So much life risk for pillion. Very disappointed.
Mere dost ke pass hai yeh beauty aur eek saal hone aaya hai since purchase. No doubt this is a wonderful bike but there are a few issues. One being the heating of the bike, traffice meh jaldi heatup ho jata hai and it can be felt on the legs. Second being the brake pads bahut jaldi wear out ho jateh hai like something around 3000kms meh pura nanga ho jata hai brake pads. Thirdly side panel below the seat ka paint nikal jata hai due to constant rubbing with the pants of the rider.
good vdo. Actually i want to book a bike. but i m confused between scram411 and highness. my priorities are long distance comfort and everyday commuting with comfert. what will u suggest?

Hi Nice review abt cb350 Recently got interested in bike and im in 40s and a car guy since almost 12yrs Now wanting to own a bike as a city bike, And I really like the cb350 and hunter 350. And im confused between the two I have ridden hunter but not cb350 . And also have an eye on Himalayan 450 Which bike I should consider im 5.8ft height
Front fender extender k wajah se aawaz aati hai.. RS350 me jo extender lagta hai uske wajah se mujhe bhi aawaz aa rahi thi.. Aur ye bahut logon ka complain hai Maine with and without front fender extender k sath test kia hai.
Not sure why would someone buy highness today especially with the 45k price difference over hunter..hunter has basic features like halogen headlight, no bluetooth, no torque control plus a much wider service network and huge range of accessories..
Good bike... Yeah cons me even I am facing the mudguard sound issue. Personally I have tried to find the sound and the problem which I did found is in jerks mudguard hits that clamps above it which is holding the mudguard maybe because of gap I don't know... It's irritating coz personally I don't like bikes to produce any other sound, yeah knocking issue i have also found, paint quality not upto the mark.. frame some areas the paint quality is very poor specially the area near engine, overall good bike good performance, but Honda should solve this issues as competition is getting stronger in 350 segment specially with the launch of hunter 350 with such low prices
Itna detail and honest review aaj tak kisine hi diya hoga...keep it up bro...ur explanation matters a lot....

Thank you for sharing with us
Hey i have recently purchased CB350 Rs, I am also facing the same issue.

There is a Original Honda Front Mud Flap available bro. I have already installed from Big Wing.
i like this bike but i ve an rusting issue on rear shock absorber what to do
Great video.. I m very satisfied with my highness... Great product..
Only the Worst Thing of Honda is
Its Cost of Price is Very Much High
I have Honda SP 125 And its Brake Pad Price is 1380
For 125 CC its too Much Expensive even Expensive than R15
U think CB 350 Disc Pad Price is More Than 2000-2500
Great review. M planning to buy highness but mildly confused between CB350 Rs and highness. I like highness better after the test drive but i like looks of RS more.
Go For Highness
Because CB 350 Gives Less Milleage Due to Wide 150 Section Tyres
The mud guard sound point was on point
Rusting issue on chain and silencer. Paint peel off on tank near petrol cap.

Mera ek question hai.
Kiya CB350 ki service Local Honda Service Centre pr hosakti hai kiya??
Aap ne kaha chain ke baare mein, aap experiment karte rehte hain, so what do you do to keep the chain in good condition
CB350 is a high class & most refined bike in its class.
Should i buy 2nd hand higness 2021 model for 1.5lakhs or ronin new bike?

Bro, this very important question to me ,please answer..what is the minimum height required to ride Honda highness cb350..I am planning to buy one.
Confused between this n Scram411 please clear my doubt as I need to pick one.
Mud flap fix at rear near battery or Air filter, any specific accessory or suggest best fix for it...... Really irritating especially when it rains ☔
Gearing solution... Replace the chain and sprocket with gixxer 250,,, 13t40t..
Cb has 14t35t.. Now 2nd and 3rd gear is usable..
Front Shocker sound , rear mudguard sound and rusting within wielding joints is the problem I am having too. Even the service centre also cannot resolve the issue.
Do they cover it in under warranty?
Just take a small can of oil paint for 20 rs and paint up the part with brush where paint comes off
Confused between RE Interceptor 650(dream bike but not the practical one bcoz of tube tire) and I leaning towards Honda Hyness due to its practicality.
Which one should I go for ?
Go for H’ness, it’s much better than RE engines.
I m confused with ronin n highness..which one to buy...please suggest mee
How to know manufacturing year and month before delivery ?
Are you using stock seat or split seat?
I’m planning to buy a bike but confused b/w Highness 350 & CB350 RS

Please suggest which is best for me among these two bike.

Honda Needs To Upgrade This Engine
Oil Cool Engine With 6 Gear Transmission Milna Chahiye
hello, dr anoop mathew from kerala, owner of cb350 anniversary edition.
problems:
1. mudguard - shock absorber hitting metal clancky sound in front suspension set up.
solution: honda service centre have rubber bush ,they place it between the mudguard n shock assembly which dampens the noise to 75%.
2. my major issue is - conset loosening, this causes handle bar getting less shock absorption leading to slight rocking of handle bar on uneven roads,
further his causes wobbling of bike wen handle is left handsfree.
solution: visit service centre fpr tightening conset or replacement of the same.
rest all working absolutely perfect ❤️
Truly appreciate your revelations on this bike which I agree totally 👍
Very good reviews... I just got it home today.. Highness anniversary edition.... Ride for 99 km on a highway from guwahati to Shillong.... Like it.... Feels good especially on the rain all the way.... Like you said you always have to shift gears.... Its not really a cruiser where you can relax.... But overall its a good bike and smooth engine.
How do i join the community?
Good practical analysis👍
I am confused between cb350 and classic350. Most areas cb350 wins. What about the length of seat, if 2 adult and 1 kid to be seated looks like, classic has longer seat and comfortable. Pls suggest
Yes I want to ask this question also... reply please.
Just take test ride. Cb350 is much much better. Only one 5 min test ride on both will solve the confusion.
Cb350 has a longer and more comfortable seat for both pillion and rider in terms of rider comfort classic is slightly better but for pillion cb350 is much better.
Thanks a lot for the detailed review!
Hness 350 vs 350rs .. pleasee reply
What about suspension ? Is it ok or hard? Pls explain.
Hness 350 new 2023 has same cons?
Highness or Cb350 rs ????
After the 1st service I started noticing sound from the front chain sprocket..
Lubrication is not the issue and the chain is clean and is in good condition.. is that normal?
Bro the mudguard thing has happened to me. I was so scared that I broke something, but couldn’t figure out where the sound is coming from. Now, i have kind of accepted the sound, but it does hurt to hear it every time you go over a pothole or a speed breaker and there are lots of them in Bangalore.
Bro, is it worth going for Honda highness from Pulsar 220F?
I have completed 11k km on hness but my main issue is that the avg i get from bike is 30 to 33 bcz my daily km are 40 km which includes highway and city and bumper to bumper traffic.. and i make sure that i ride on eco mode then to the same issue…. Its request that you can suggest me how do i increase my bike avg… i spoked with honda also but they said that some clients faces the same issues…
Awaiting for your support and help
Thanks for the well detailed ownership review

i had booked hunter (blue)on the day of launch, allotted and bike at showroom since 14th. but cancelling after test drive due to i) suspension is not good- my 14 year old pulsar gives the same experience. ii) Bike is too compact to my liking.

Bro.. i live in Bangalore near Whitefield tinfactory area.. it is heavily crowded and traffic. I want to know how it is to handle on traffic.
I own R15v3 which has best handling good for filtering and nimble.
Please let me know the handling & nimbleness..?
Bro i don't agree to your mileage part in city i get around 23 to 25 kmpl, once on highway i get around 37 to 38 kmpl only if m cruising around 80 kmph
I am facing stiff chain issue after completing just 1000 kms despite cleaning and lubing the chain every 600 to 700 kms. Warranty claim was rejected by Honda saying that it is because of wear and tear. I have used many bikes before and never faced this problem.
How stiff chain explain this issue . I too have highness
Why there is no tachometer in this segment of bikes
good one as usual...
I am planning to book CB350, but to decide the variant. shortlisted in the order of preference
i) limited edition black (on road 245467-chennai- includes RSA, extended warranty, and handling charges 3k) -waiting period 2 months
ii) RS variant, readily available, on road 243411,dual tone
iii)DLX ,few colours readily available- any colour 20 days , on road 237226
whats your take on this..?
test ride done on both hness and RS , both are equally good.
whether the bluetooth option actually good? can we set destination in the mobile app? (or only ATMs, gas stations etc)
Bluetooth option is useless. You still need a mobile mount to see turn by turn navigation.
Go for rs
Bangalore me waiting period kya hai iska ?
Can I plane Anniversary adition

Cb350 is next level. You will forget scram after back to back test rides on both.

Are you sure?

Thank you for sharing your experience
