Hi @Raj.. Which spanner do you use to open the top stem nut of CB 350. I'm trying to find a spanner so that I could set the steering sensitivity as per my liking. The service guys loosened my steering handle bit too much and they are giving lame excuses to convince me that they have set it accurately. I tried several 30 number spanners but none of them are going in the gap between the nut and handlebar assembly.
Hey Srinath.. thanks buddy.. but to be honest currently this is my primary doubt and not a concrete solution. But will surely come up with the concrete solution soon. Will be soon doing round 2 of trying to induce the wobble so that I can make out the before and after results.
@@RajkaGaragethis might sound very weird/ stupid. But the first time I faced wobble issue was when I was having more weight on rear which was a bit wider than me and shorter than me. I had to carry kilos of Groceries(don't wrong me here for carrying kilos of Groceries on the bike😂). But yeah when heavy weight was put on back which was wider and shorter than me is when I faced wobble issue. Other than this I just faced it one time randomly and that's it. Hi bro if you are in Chennai can you check with this guy about the wobbling issue m.ruclips.net/video/oymqaGzYtlQ/видео.html He seems to be a mechanic from Perambur
Brilliant break-up of the things to check for the problem faced....Your simple explanation are easy to follow and understand... I am a proud owner of the Highness and your inputs are most valued.
Dear riders and bike enthusiasts aspirants buyers , every bike has its pros and cons ,basically do not change or alter the factory set front forks and wheel weight distribution because these will result in problems and once you have tampered by adjusting by yourself (even though u maybe a glorified mechanic or to a friend mechanic) do not mess with factory settings or over customisation on handlebar or on the bike for that matter please try to retain the factory default setting as much as possible
I am a hness owner too, recently I found out that my bike is pulling on one side, I checked the tyre pressure and it's perfect, anyone has any solution or same experience?
One question please, Raj. Why are you riding without holding the handlebars to demonstrate wobbling issue? Have you experienced any wobbling issues while riding the motorcycle as it is intended to (by holding the handlebars) ?
Also, try riding with a pillion.. and see if the wobbling issue persists. It's something to do with tyre pressure and weight distribution for most users.
This was one moment when I was trying to induce the wobbling as for some reasons it was not coming naturally. At other times at speeds of 90-100 i had observed this with one had on the Handlebar with the other hand trying to clean the visor or doing some other stuff. When the bike has this kind of wobble, i have observed that high speed cornering gives you a uneasiness even if both the hands are on the handle. Yes, the conditions for wobble are different and can be anything from the weight of front tyre, weight transfer at high speeds and so on.. One thing I know for sure and that is, such wobbles are not new with front heavy wheels and can trigger at high speeds due to various reasons like i mentioned above and that's why most high end bikes have a steering dampers on them to negate this phenomenon.
I was facing this wobble issue with Activa 5g 2019.. this was observed when the vehicle takes sudden pickup or while in high speed and this problem started when my front wheel hit to the wall hard while parking.. i have complained it in two authorised service centres and one local mechanic.. the local mechanic had done keen observation and he checked for wheel alignment (not precise for Activa though) and all parts of handle.. he said it's fixed but after 200km it started again.. this time authorised service expert said to change the tyre.. wobbling problem has been sorted now, i have been using Ceat tyre in front and rear.. may be cb350 people must try tyre change which has proper wheel balancing.. before Ceat i have used MRF due to its brand name but later realised MRF is not so promising.. as cb350 is a premium bike better tyres could have been used..
I had heard about this but never experienced it myself in my highness. My bike is run 13k kms. However, on a recent trip, when I left both hands for couple of secs, the handlebar started wobbling like crazy. When i went to Bigwing service, they told that this problem exists in highness and it could be because of the tyre. Even they are not sure. My coneset also needs to be replaced. It was already replaced once at 6k kms. I'm surprised why nobody has taken Honda to the consumer court. We are been taken for a ride by Honda. I'm sure if this had happened in US, Honda would have been forced to recall the vehicles.
This issue is more if you tie your luggage or bag at the back or rear seat with a rope.. I have experienced this within 60kmph and it is wobble like anything. I am seriously disappointed..
Aaila..Mi pan tikdech asto ki Punyat yeto tevha.. Kawade Nagar madhe..😅 Kothrud madhe 'Prabhat Tyres' ahe.. you can call them. Are you facing the wobble? Coz balancing is just one possibility, I am going to check the condition of my wheel bearings too. Had checked it on the wheel, but want to open completely and check if there is any free play.
There is a guy in youtube, who solved this issue by checking the brake system, seems like his front brakedisk was getting hit by a small protrusion from the brake calipers. This was not in n cb350 but a apache 160. But same dynamics, new bike wobbling after 70 etc etc. You could add this criteria into your checklist.
Yes..99% times jab bhi Naya tyre wheel pe lagate hai..usko balance karna padta hai..aur sirf 1% chance hai ki Tyre + Wheel ka balance ekdum perfect hai.
Hello I want to change my front fork wheel oil and oil seal for cb350 honda highness. Can you help me letting know what grade of oil and how much per fork qty is required. Please advice
Wobble in my bike has increased a lot recently. Earlier there were only vibrations on the right side of the handlebar, the left side has no vibrations. Now as soon as I reach 60kmph it starts wobbling. I even changed the coneset from Bigwing as the bike had an understeering problem and they told me that the coneset had rusted and needed to be changed. Can it be a case that the bike wobbles due to this imbalance in the handlebar?
I owning cb 350Rs 2022 i facing this issue my service ppl suggested to do balancing and added wt of 45mg nw its solved but not completely little oscillation s there like u have shown what i want to do pls suggest me....
Hey Raj, had subbed to your channel the moment I started researching CB350. The handle wobble is perhaps the single biggest reasons I've not yet made up my mind about CB350. Interesting observations there, and this video is 1yr old. Did you finally get around to actually finding the root-cause or a solid solution for the issue ? Lot of people seem to suggest changing the break pads to Vesrah ones. Could some slight change in breakpad weight by going for non-Honda original pads, cause a weight balance issue as well ?
I’m the guy whose bike they removed the tire and refitted it with torque controlled machinery. It did remove the handle bar vibration. However, the vibration came back after running the bike for a bit. So I’m really not sure what’s causing the vibration.
Cool.. these various steps have been followed by some other service centers as well, but all randomly. My primary doubt is the Tyre and related balancing and balancing being the first trial coz changing the tyre directly doesn't make sense. Regarding your handlebar vibrations, is it a humming vibration you feel on the handlebar and the footrest or the shake as shown in the video. If it's the earlier thing then please check your drive chain slack, if it was recently tightened by the service center.
I too own a CB350 in the top end and post mid range you get vibrations on the handlebar but it isn’t that irritating also as far as I know all single cylinders vibrate to an extent
This wobble being discussed is a major shaking in the handlebar which comes from something related to the front wheel and most probably the tyre is responsible.
@@RajkaGarage No I’m not talking about the wobbling issue here he mentioned that it removed handle bar vibrations but as far as I know all single cylinders vibrate to an extend
Ohk..the overall vibrations, yes any long stroke big capacity single cylinder will have those thumping vibrations. In the CB many specifically complain about another vibrations on the handlebar and left foot peg, which is associated with overtightening of drive chain during service and the Honda chain lube which is not as efficient as a chain lube should be.
I'm a CB350 RS user... The handle starts wobbling at a speed of 80kmph and above.... So the honda service center has told me that there is a bend in my alloy wheel.... Can that be an issue for this wobble?
That will increase the total wheel diameter by almost 1.4cm and may make the traction control malfunction (not necessarily) with the check engine light coming on.. also this make the bike run further difficult in slow speed in low 2-3rd Gear.. so not advisable.. instead you can opt for going with the RS rim and a 150/70-r17 tyre. The plus side is lot options are available in this size compared to 18".
@@RajkaGarage that's a good advice my friend which eventually will increase the load in the engine as well... Sure will then forget about it...🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ THANKS A LOT #RAJ KA GARAGE
FIRST OF ALL THIS THIS IS NOT A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM THE PROBLEM IS RELATED TO BALANCING..... THIS PROBLEM ARISE WHEN YOU HAVE A PILLION OR FOR WEIGHT BEHIND YOU.... CENTRE OF GRAVITY OF THIS BIKE GOT DISTURBED WHEN YOU HAVE A PILLION IN A CERTAIN SPEED (70KM & above) CAUSES HEAVY VIBRATION ON HANDLE. . CHANGE OF TYRE TYPE (ZAPPER) IS ONE POSSIBLE SOLUTION!
I purchased Highness CB350 hust a week before and observed that the front wheel is changed from MRF zapper. May be this is the attempt to overcome wobbling issue from Honda? Any views?
Wobble is never a problem caused by tyre or rims . Even if you put a weight on a tyre its not going to cause any wobble . Its coming feom a structural cause like cone set play . It generally come out in large wheelbase bike .
Sorry bud..but saying tyres and rims are 'Never' responsible for wobble is some kind of an statement. Not just tyres or rims, but change in load distribution between front and rear can also cause high speed wobbles and lead to a phenomenon called 'Tank Slapping' . It's not as simple as cone set play. There are thousands of CBs and other front heavy bikes who can get this wobble and the reasons could be various. Btw..H'ness cannot be categorised in a long wheelbase bike, like a HD 750 street etc.
@@RajkaGarageyeah this is true. All the interceptors of first batch with Pirelli had extreme wobble problems. If i remember correctly. So tyre also matters.
@@RajkaGarage sir is there any alternation . As we all know there is less in number of bigwing services centers. Only RED services honda available in all locations. DlY general service also little difficult for me becoz lack of small consumables like drain bolt washer, o rings etc.. I will surely update on this bro.. maybe i will make some enemies in Honda Bigwing for doing this as even most of the key guys in Honda company know me well and watch my videos..but stay tuned 😁
Appreciate your efforts to find a solution to this. I have this issue in my bike. Like you faced, I find it hard to reproduce the issue on many occasions. It just appears at its whims and fancies. I find it strange. I haven't taken it to SC yet reporting the issue. But I have been playing around a few times with tyre pressure up and down and may be that is making it difficult to reproduce the issue. Sometimes it just doesn't appear at any speeds. Sometimes it says a scary hello when least expected. Don't want to give the bike SC for them to fiddle it without even knowing the solution.
Yeah, this will need to be done with a proper process with checking pre and post results with identical conditions. Even I did the stem nut tightening and hence couldn't reproduce the issue.
No buddy.. wobbling will not affect ABS handling, coz the wobbling gets arrested when you start braking and hence does not pass on the affect on the grip or braking. It will definitely give some butterflies in stomach on wet conditions at high speeds. In my opinion the ABS on both bikes are at par especially on the RE Reborn. Also both bikes comes with the same tyre manufacturer as Tyres are very critical to the effective functioning of ABS. Harder the tyre compound like MRFs more ineffective the system.
Thank you Raj bhai for the detailed video on this topic. Personal experience: I went to SC last month and they told me the metal visor (bandidos) is causing the wobbling issue. I removed it and checked, still the issue persists. I have counterweights on both tyres. I have learnt to live with it now :)
Thanks Angad.. even if the weights are present, i would suggest you to give a try to the wheel balancing. There is one shop in Naupada who does wheel balancing for 2 wheelers.
I believe almost everybody got fork gators fitted in their bikes especially highness during purchase or first service. It was done by service centre guys. Maybe they didn't fit all the parts with proper torque or misaligned some parts which originally came factory-fitted as per standard norms.
That's why as you said around 6-7 users out of 10 are facing this issue. But if that is the reason then RS users should not face this issue as Fork gators come as standard factory fitment in that bike.
I fitted the fork gaiters almost 6 months after the delivery as when I took delivery on November 2020 these accessories were not available. So this issue was there in my bike even before the gaiters were installed.
I think you are right bro, not only for fork gaters they have to remove the fork set and also they called many cb owners to replace some third grade material used on the bikes which were manufactured during 2020-2021. That time also the problem might have happened.
@@soudagar5573 I did test drive I liked it instantly which other bikes failed to impress me in this 350 segment .. so Booked it too .. I will get my bike in 3 days :)

@@P.S.R.. may be problem with my bike only and this is new bike in market we can’t judge bike good or wrong so far it looks better compared to all in segment as of now.
My bike has stopped wobbling automatically since the last 2k kms. It's a tyre issue. If i get the Wobbling back, i will replace the tyre with 90/90-19 tyre in front from the existing 100/90-19.
@@RajkaGarageyes broh you are right the front tyre is the same tread pattern as the rear no big finding there but the air pressure in the front tyre should be 28 psi because this way there is more traction where the tyre surface has more contact with the road that way more grip no wobbling,I didn't went through wobbling whatsoever so maintain correct tyre pressure
I don't understand are we not supposed to ride the bike while holding the handle bar..its like we are doing something not recommended and expecting the bike to be fine.
@@RajkaGarage Just checked right now but you see after fixing the seat as in video, works well, for a short period and then the usual problem. Just recently had a ride for around four hours and this problem has occurred. Never before on my long ride. Is there a permanent fixing solution for it to not happen again and again?
Sure, buddy we will cross the bridge once we reach there. My chain sprocket has completed 10k kms and can last another 7k kms. So will be doing a video that time.
Hai brother I have issues of wobbling .i balancing the wheel from MRF .they are removed the counterweight and added the new one.but wobbling is more. Any other options for rectify?
I did go to service center and enquired about this issue and he said it's because of tyres like Thier design so if we change the Tyre we will not have this issue.
@@RajkaGarage yes the moment I take off the panniers the wobbling stops, I am missing the front and back rim weights from the showroom itself so never had issue until I started using panniers . I think there is an inherent lightness in the front part of the bike and it gets aggravated when I put panniers. Now I have put 150/70 r17 tyres in the back still have the wobbling again I am going to add top box as well God knows what's going to happen then
Bro i have a little query, if you could help me to understand the thing.. Actually when i start my CB 350 it revs higher till it reaches to the higher temp. That's normal but Now i m noticing that even after warming it up when i put it in gear and don't throttle it it starts revving high when putting it neutral it comes down to normal.. Don't understand thiss?
Check your Clutch lever free play buddy, there seems to be excessive play in the clutch lever. Also wanted to check if this happens even after running for few KMS?
I guess clutch free play is fine the thing is while riding when it's hot still it revs like it's cold starting when i put it into neutral it comes down.. When putting it in gear it starts revving
This wobble can happen in spoke wheels aswell BUT the cause in spoke wheels is not Wheel balancing with counter weights. In spoke wheels, it can be a bent rim, loose spokes, tyre, wheel bearing, cone set etc.
Sirji, As already informed, service centre walon sara accessories kholke test kiya tha, tab vwobble tha... Then the changed the front wheel and it vanished. So in my case it's the defective front tyre.
Haan Bhai had that on my mind. But the point I wanted to make is, what if the new tyre along with the new wheel had appropriate balance on it. So even before going with a tyre and wheel change, it will be worth experimenting with low budget item.
@@RajkaGarage true... My guess is... there's some design issue. As even with new wheel & tyre (along with loads of luggages), it still wobbles TILL 85-90KMPH. Then it's rock solid. It's natural to wobble with luggage, but upto a certain speed, don't think so. You can tell better.
Hey raaj!! Your technical content is Spot on 👍🏻. I really appreciate your hard work. Will it be possible for you to create a community or forum for CB350 Owners family?? That will be amazing for discussions. Keep the good work going though 😊 Peace ✌️
As usual your content rocks .. Another reason could be accessories like top rack , wind shield .. Etc Especially if it impacts weight distribution .. What do you think ?
Thanks buddy 😊. In my opinion, movements associated with accessories will be similar to the drag one feels during strong cross winds. This kind of wobbling is typically associated with rotational imbalance of wheels which can be either the balancing or a defective tyre itself. This will be definitely on my hit list for a concrete resolution. A follow up video will come for sure.
Bro. Can you try onething. At what speed does it happen? If it's around 80kmhr or less in fifth gear, please try 80kmhr in third n fourth gears n see if u experience the same issue. This bike has different engine braking characteristics. Just do this check for me n let me know. Try acvlerating till 100 on third n check. Do the same on fourth.
It's weight. Tank needs to be filled with 10 liters , front tyre needs 30 psi and rear suspension setting at3rd slot Bike will not vibrate nor wooble at any speeds , just buzz and wind
None of you say that's the real problem. Its ball riser is over tight as it comes from the company. That is its main problem.I fixed my bike ballracer myself and solved the problem💯💯💯💯👍👍👍
Did ur wobble issue permanently went off ?? Ur explanation was good , My bike is 9months and I just got the cone set upper part replace but still the issue persist . Next up , I will go through ur way of checking the tyre. If u can come up with the two wheeler tyre balancing videos, that will be helpful..
Mine started wobbling at 40 down till 20. It’s slight wobble but I can feel it and see it in the mirrors as well. Service center guy doesn’t notice it. Will wait a few more weeks and see. Checked air pressure as well. Anyone facing issues at low speeds?
I felt initially @8000 km but ignored as I had busy schedule and it was never intrusive , suddenly lot of people complain and I thought to try on highways but by that time I had already crossed 15k odo . Now I don't have any wobbling even at 120 kmph and I can leva both hands down hill at 80 kmph . May be it vanishes on its own with time as wear and tear of every moving components sets in .
Yes, this wobble comes when you are deceleration and at a particular speed. While this is fine in dry conditions, on wet roads, this imbalance will let the confidence level loose even in corners at speeds of 50-60kmph.
The shape and size of the counter weight vary depending on the weight that needs to be compensated for..so many the weight on your bike might be small and looks half..but still get the balancing done. Like I mentioned this may not be a concrete solution, but one strong possibility as per my experience. I guess you are in Pune, of yes, Prabhat Tyres in Kothrud does 2 wheeler balancing jobs.
Hey Sumit, sorry I was not able to recall your name and got this video from Akshat.. I would suggest you try doing the wheel balancing for both the wheels once before looking into other big ticket items like replacing the tyre etc. Atleast we will come to know the real cause. Also I understand the service center has tried all possible things but still the issue is not resolved. So go for this once.
It seems almost 5/10 have this issue, and the tyre or tyre related problem is the root cause. I had the wobble starting from 3-3.5k kms and vanished all of a sudden at 10k kms.
Totally disappointed with this bike..... Worst decision of my life to buy this.....I am facing this handle wobbling issue right after I purchased the bike. Also, I can't get confidence on this bike to ride above 60 kmph while cornering (God knows what's the problem in handle) and service centre guys couldn't even detect what's the problem. Worst bike.
Yes, the issue is still there in bike, I asked service centre to raise a complaint and they told they will do that during next service of the bike. If you are buying, just check everything before you buy.
As mentioned in the video, my primary doubt is around the wheel balancing, so it's not a quality issue with Honda or even MRF, but a standard practice which is followed even in cars where we do Wheel alignment and balancing periodically.
These problems are not at all present in 100 cc bikes which do not see Service centers for years . Wheel woobling is engineering faliure by the manufacturers
Exactly. My 10 yr old Pulsar 200NS has seen all kind of abuse and never did I ever worry about even tire pressure, wheel balancing etc. Somewhere in this bike there is a design flaw. So much for Honda quality 🤷♀️ I was considering buying this bike since Honda is known "reliability" but I guess that was just a myth peddled by Honda fanboys
Uneven drying out of cheap quality anti puncture gels can be one of the reasons of wheel imbalance. I have put Formula X in my tyres. Not even a single puncture and absolutely no wobble till date. Both of my wheel balancing weights are intact.
Gokhale saheb Namaskar 🙏 BTW..The stock tyres doesn't come with puncture sealent gels. And this issue has been reported randomly by users. So trying to get to the core.
I too have put the Formula X in my tyres the day i took delivery.... i have a wobble problem but very erratic... some time it happens but most of the time it's not there.... i do use a top box and other luggage bags for my long distance riding.... i ensure the tyre pressures are rite all the time....
Tubeless tyres punture tags weigh hardly 10 gms that should not make any difference to more than 15 kg front wheel alone and more than 80 kg part of bike on front side of Cb 350 .
Hello Raj Sir, Please help me with this. Whenever I ride my bike in rain, water goes inside the tank. Fule lid is always closed, and the issue is also not with the petrol pump. Service center people are unable to detect the issue. Please help me with this
Hi Aniket, please check if the rubber seal in the inner side fuel cap is alright or if anything is stuck there. Replace it if it seems doubtful. Also make sure that the small flap on of the petrol tank key hole is closed all times even when the bike is parked. A good thing to do during monsoon is to have a plastic handle cover which covers the fuel tank filler cap aswell.
No one has a clue of the root cause. Unfortunately since the day I shot this video and wanted to take up the process of getting a resolution, my bike has in a strange way stopped the wobbling. So can test the things I wanted to as won't be able to check the before and after status.
Rear wheel balancer weight seems to have fallen off. Get the balancing checked for both wheels. There is only one shop i found in Kothrud (Prabhat Tyres) who does wheel balancing for 2 wheelers.

Video is useful, also I've subscribed.
But I want to change handle bar like cafe racer style
Bro I have used multiple brands and bikes but I think this the issue specifically for honda cb350 hness

It's this issue resolved in Honda CB350 2023 ?
I am a hness owner too, recently I found out that my bike is pulling on one side, I checked the tyre pressure and it's perfect, anyone has any solution or same experience?
Love the effort and dedication
Absolutely amazing info.
Thanks Pritesh Bhai 😊

Maybe the wobble is caused by the poor rubber bar end weights in the old model that's why they changed to metal bar end weights in the new 2023 model
I hope this really solve this issue lol
I think the same. I have the same issue. I own a 2020 model.

Sir had the same problem the suspension got changed in warranty now nothinh
Hi, can anyone tell me the allen key size to remove the front axle?
Big Thank You for the informational video, man
Appreciate it!
Thanks buddy 😊

Hello
I want to change my front fork wheel oil and oil seal for cb350 honda highness.
Is the issue resolved?
They are adding wheel balancing weights to address this issue in new 2023 models
Good information I have same problem
I'm a CB350 RS user... The handle starts wobbling at a speed of 80kmph and above.... So the honda service center has told me that there is a bend in my alloy wheel.... Can that be an issue for this wobble?
Hello Raj do you think u can install 150/70r18 rear tyre
I am getting wobble only at 110 Kmh. And I suspect it's because of MRF tyres.
Still issue is there ?
I am also suspects MRF Tyre issue
Hello Raj bhai... Can you tell me the allen key bolt size of wheel axle??? I have to first buy allen key socket....
Axle will need 17mm Allen Key.. get a good brand like Stanley,. Toptul etc else local product can damage the hex of the Allen bolt.
@@RajkaGarage thanks 😊
I purchased Highness CB350 hust a week before and observed that the front wheel is changed from MRF zapper. May be this is the attempt to overcome wobbling issue from Honda? Any views?
Why leave the handlebar during running? Did you ever feel any wobble with with your hands always on the the handle on the run?
@@RajkaGarage theoretically, what's not possible ????
@@RajkaGarageyeah this is true. All the interceptors of first batch with Pirelli had extreme wobble problems. If i remember correctly. So tyre also matters.

Raj bhai,Does wobbling affect the functioning of abs?
Also you have used RE and honda,do you feel a diiference in their abs?@@RajkaGarage
No buddy.. wobbling will not affect ABS handling, coz the wobbling gets arrested when you start braking and hence does not pass on the affect on the grip or braking.
Well said, even tvs eurogrip is pretty hard!@@RajkaGarage

I stay in Mira Road and wanted to know which service center is better, Thane or Andheri?

It can be related to glide through traffic feature!!
If you shift the gear to 3rd or higher, those higher RPMS will get down.
That's creep mode bro ,just chill . It's a good feature to have in traffic
does this happens to spoke wheel too
This wobble can happen in spoke wheels aswell BUT the cause in spoke wheels is not Wheel balancing with counter weights. In spoke wheels, it can be a bent rim, loose spokes, tyre, wheel bearing, cone set etc.
Is there wobbling below 70 kmph
This wobble can come at any point above 60kmph and mostly in deceleration.

Another reason could be accessories like top rack , wind shield .. Etc Especially if it impacts weight distribution .. What do you think ?

In my opinion, movements associated with accessories will be similar to the drag one feels during strong cross winds. This kind of wobbling is typically associated with rotational imbalance of wheels which can be either the balancing or a defective tyre itself.

Does this mean we can question Honda quality? or it can be a rare case or manufacturing fault.
