      Actually there are too many areas where the Honda CB350 RS outshines the Jawa 42.
      All views are purely personal.
      1. Honda's Reliability is unmatched.
      2. Sure, on paper Jawa offers more power with a smaller displacement engine - however, the quality of power/the way the power is delivered are totally different. I like the refinement of the Honda.
      3. For high speed stability on Highways, I would always prefer the extra weight and dimensions of the RS, I always found the Java to be a smaller frame motorcycle.
      4. Higher tank range in Honda, less petrol outlet stops.
      5. Seat height of Jawa for me is too low at 765mm
      6. 19 inch front wheel on the Honda helps with gliding over potholes. Size of the tyres are huge too - more contact with the road translates to more grip and confidence while riding.
      7. Honda has a bigger front disc brake set up at 310mm. BYBRE vs Nissin - you decide which is better. I'll pick the Nissin any day.
      8. Halogen vs LED
      9. The dual exhausts look flimsy.
      10. Japanese R&D is way to ahead of the competition
      And, there are many more reasons.. honestly - I love how the CB350 RS looks - never got the same feeling for Java.
      Again, all thoughts are personal.

      @@StallionRides curious to know because I am looking for a touring bike. Choices are Dominar 400, Jawa 42, Honda CB 350RS, Yamaha FZ 25 and Suzuki Gixxer250. I used to have 150 cc Hero Honds CBZ, but Now I want something for long touring. Honda goes a bit over the budget, Dominar and Jawa I can find 2nd hand in good condition and Suzuki or Yamaha I could buy new one.

    I have completed 8000kms in 6 months on my Highness....its a great bike ❤
    My last trip was Delhi to Ladakh via Sringar back to Delhi.. completed 2700kms in 9 days and this bike never ever let a single second be uncomfortable.
    This is full package in its range ❤️❤️

      1. Rust: It is a genuine issue. You’ll notice rust near the inside area of the silencer and the additional helmet lock area. It doesn’t bother me. I had a covered parking for almost 14 months after purchasing the motorcycle- never saw rust. It started when I changed my apartment and no longer had a covered parking.
      2. The motorcycle does NOT wobble if you ride with hands on the handlebar. Wobbling only happens when you ride hands free - that too occasionally, weight distribution, tyre pressure, I don’t know what to blame but it’s there at times. Never if you ride holding the handlebar.
      3. Never had an issue with High-Altitude pick up. In fact I did the Ladakh circuit before the ECU update, still had no challenges. Rev matching is super important for superior performance of this machine. You have to be on the right gear at the right speeds when going uphill. That’s all. The motorcycle has plenty of torque on offer.
      4. Mud-related issue - The motorcycle gets dirty, yes. If that’s what you are asking. Does not lose one bit of performance though.I don’t mind my motorcycle looking dirty as long as it starts and takes me wherever I want to go without breaking.

And one question i was confused between what to buy, i have three options in hand duke 200, cb350 rs and mt15. My needs are reliability, brakes, mileage,looks and comfortable on little long rides around 500 km. So could you please help me out here. Thanks!!

      I would pick the CB350 RS from the options you shared. However, something tells me that you like to ride fast, you enjoy quick acceleration and overtakes (maybe just my stupid assumption).
      For the purpose you mentioned CB350 RS will be the most reliable, real value for money, and perfect machine for you.
      What's your built? If you have wide shoulders and a broad frame, you must know that the duke 200 and mt15 will feel like little machines.
      Think long term, go with the Honda.
      Baba, if you actually enjoy those quick bursts of acceleration, those tight curves and thrill it gives - go with the duke 200.
      Mt15 - I won't recommend. I don't have any particular reason, I would pick the R15 any day over the MT15 or the duke 200.. just my thoughts.

    Highly correlated with the points you mentioned, brilliant review, 1st gear goes till 40 that's the only minor change.
    I've ridden 25k all on highways and the city. The engine and the ride you told you can only feel it feels in unison with the tarmac. And the thump just encourages you to push through. Happy Riding!
    Thinking whether a handlebar mod would help or not for highway riding.

      Top speed I got was 125. Fastest I cruise is about 110 because of road conditions and restrictions. I am usually around 100 to 110 on expressway. Good acceleration for city traffic and great in the steep mountains and switchbacks.

    My usages are almost city and weekend long rides and i am a 5ft 11in Guy and i also don't prefer enfield because of Honda's awesome refinement.... So is this bike perfect for me?

      Your height will definitely help with low speed maneuvers. I believe the Honda CB350 RS is any day a better machine than the Royal Enfield.
      However, I wouldn't call it a perfect machine..
      if high speed, spirited riding is not your thing, if you aren't bothered with water splashing everywhere because of the size of the mudguard, if you are looking for a no-nonsense reliable machine -- pick the Honda CB350 RS. I swear you can rely on a Honda with your eyes closed...buy a Honda and the Ownership experience will include Peace of Mind at the top spot. The machine just performs... I have ridden it in almost every terrain - not one issue so far.
      Also, riding to me is more like a passion..so all I care about is the fact that the motorcycle does what it is intended to do, that is take you places without repairs and additional headaches.. so in that context I believe there is no better 350cc machine than this.

    I purchased cb350rs blue colour a week ago, absolutely loving this bike, this is my first ever bike.
    Did you feel the need to install handle bar raiser in your bike??
    I did a 100km ride yesterday on Pune Lonavala highway with one break at 50km and felt slight pain in my palm, could it be negated with installing handle bar raiser, or shall I put foam handle bar grips ?
    I think since I’m new to motorcycling I need to get used to these sweet pains haha 😂

      I don't feel the need to install the handle bar raiser, I like the slight stretch to reach the handlebars. .plus installing raisers will definitely mess the handling dynamics of the motorcycle a bit.
      Yes, baba.. you will get used to the posture in some days and your grip will keep getting better. As it's a heavy machine, it takes a little getting used to :)

      ​@@StallionRides that's a very simplistic approach you're taking. The riding dynamics are also affected by how tall the rider is, also the limb length. So a little tweaks here are there are needed to make the maotorcycle fit you best

      Hello there, Sridhar.
      Yes, please. The mud splashing issue is real, however I wouldn't call it a concern as the performance of the motorcycle is not at all impacted by this.
      I have not installed any mudguards yet, haven't had any issue, except for occasional splashes. I mean this issue is not a deal breaker for me.
      You can always add a Carbon Racing mudguard extender and solve this problem. I don't use it as I like how the motorcycle looks as it is :)

      It's definately not a concern regarding bike performance but even after installing mud guards (front & rear ) i am facing mud splashing that too when i have not even ride it in monsoon till now. That is bcz rear tyre is not covered much. Otherwise the bike is better then it's competitors. You can go for it

      Honestly, to this day I have never experienced wobbling issues, it's scary how some users are complaining.
      My take - I don't know what to say about this, this is an unheard problem for a Honda machine.
      I have this blind trust for Honda and so far I have had no reasons to complain.

      Would you believe me if I tell you that I fought the same dilemma in my head for 2 months before settling for the RS.
      Value for Money - Go for Highness, it offers more than the RS. Bluetooth, extra buttons on the left handlebar (looks nice and makes toggling between info easy), dual horns with cover, and kind of better pillion comfort with the footrest and all that.
      Feel of Riding - Go for the RS.
      I test rode the Highness I enjoyed it, it was nice.
      I sat on the RS saddle and immediately felt a connect with it ( the riding posture was bang on), it felt like I was holding a heavy beast, I mean it was a feeling baba, cannot really explain, I felt the handle bars as an extension of my hands in some manner.
      Apart from that, the looks are unrealistic, there hasn't been an instance when I park my motorcycle and don't turn to admire.
      The seats of RS are wider and better than Highness in my opinion, 130 section vs 150 section rear tyre - that's a big difference.
      Plus, I can keep typing...

      @@MrNaveen9999 Hello there, Naveen. The stock seats are superb, trust me. They are wide and optimised for long rides, neither too soft nor too hard. Also, they are waterproof, a big plus. I have done over 1000 kilometres in a day and never had a butt/back issue.

    I bought Highness, and fell in love with the bike man. I was a royal Enfield lover but one of my friends suggested this bike to try once. Yaa , it just blew my mind. I was like remove the name ( Enfield nd honda ) nd then ride the bike , u can't help falling in love with highness. Some of my friends asked did u change the silencer? I was like no , such a strong and deep thumping it has. Such a wonderful machine.

    My two stroke 125cc TG1 made by Gilera back in 1976 had more spunk and speed than this bike. I don't understand why. Motorcycles back then were more powerful and faster.

    Sir actually Honda is using non abs brake pads for this bike so that's why the brake pads are wearing out early, very early. Try versah brake pads for hness or cb 350 it works very nicely for longer period

    I'm super happy with my cb350rs. This is definitely a capable engine. Highway ride is super smooth till 110. Can reach 120 as well if the road is good.
    But I feel the seat is not very comfortable, you can do a 150 kms continously after that you start feeling pain in the Butt... Could be because of a little narrow seat...

      In my opinion the seats of RS are much wider than that of the Highness. Also, 150kms is a decent riding distance in one go.. however, I have done over 350+ kms without a break and never had butt/back issues.
      I feel the pillion seat could have been better.
      A question - do you wear riding pants while doing long distance? I feel the riding pants help, in my case my butt gets a good cushion 😅

      It depends on the willingness and overall fitness levels of the pillion.
      Context: I once had a pillion who had no challenges whatsoever throughout multiple long and off-road rides, because we enjoyed each other’s company. Willingness plus this person was fit.
      The same person tends to complain lately about comfort and cancel plans, still fit - but no willingness. Hope that make sense.

      Yes, please. I did. Are you referring to a weird noise the front of the motorcycle makes on sudden acceleration from stop? If yes.. I did have the same issue till before my first service.. I told my mechanic in the BigWing, he didn't seem to know a fix but then the issue went away on its own after the first service.
      I mean post the 1st service, I haven't had this problem till now.

      Both have the same engine, baba.
      The RS looks and feels a bit more solid due to a chunky stance. Plus, the rider triangle on the Rs will offer a slightly better connect with the road and machine.
      You must take a test ride. I felt better on the Rs Saddle than I felt on the Highness, so I picked the RS

      Yes, the Labour charge on paid services is a bit on the higher side.
      However, I must admit, there is no other maintenance charges than regular paid service.
      I mean you only have to invest on the machine every 5500-6000km ..in between there's no cost of ownership, the parts are too reliable 😃

      Both are superb machines. Plus, you get the Honda reliability. My only apprehension with the 300R is the small frame, carrying luggage and highway rides won’t be that fun I reckon.
      If you like speed, go with the 300R, CB350 RS is an overall 360 package.

      At 165cms, I do not recommend the Honda CB350 RS. The seat is high and wide, you will struggle to plant both feet on the ground.
      The CB300F is a quite capable machine - you may go for it.

      Effortless crusing speed : 90-100kmph, at 90 the motorcycle glides like fluid.
      Comfort : For me, the RS is more comfortable - wider seats and a great riding posture.
      Braking, Clutch, Gearshift, Refinement : They both are the same machine.
      No wind shield needed for upto 120kmph.

    What do you think of suspension?
    I found it very stiff.... And it gives lot of jerks and then ride becomes very uncomfortable.

      Hahaha, you know during my 2nd service, I got the suspension set up done one more level stiffer ;)
      I always believe, the stiffer the better.
      However, after 2 months I came back to the regular suspension set up.
      You are right, the suspension feels stiff, at lower speeds, however, the same suspension soaks up almost everything at higher speeds, plus the cornering abilities are enhanced because of the stiffness of the suspension.
      You could always soften the suspension, as per your convenience, however, if you tend to be a somewhat fast rider, then leave the suspension a little stiff.

    really need to ask this, so I was also finding the RS more beautiful than hgness , but some are saying hgness is better for cruising and this is like cafe racer kind, since u r mentioning Goa to Delhi ride, did u find discomfort in cruising long distances? or did u did any modification like raising handlebar ?

      @@shrikantkulkarni2992 After free services, the cost per service will be Rs2500-3000 if there are zero part replacements.
      Depending on the parts replacement, the cost will add up, ex brake pads, chain set, filter, etc.
      On an average Rs800-1000/hour of labor charge if you get any additional part. Depends on the time taken and complexity in doing so.

    The cb350rs is a 5gear configuration. And most of the reviews I saw say the acceleration is not as good on higher ranges. Because of that 5th gear is almost useless? Is it the case? Also I saw another video where the paint came off at multiple places. Especially the silencer. And it was just one year old. Also there were rust issues. Is it so?

      Hello to you, Aditya. All that you mentioned is true. Acceleration is not good on higher rev ranges as the peak power and torque is produced at low to mid rpm. That's how the machine is designed.. However, rest assured if you ride at 110kmph on the 4th gear and then apply the 5th gear you'll definitely get a good acceleration.. if you ride at speeds of 60-80kmph on the 5th gear, then you will be disappointed with the acceleration. Hope that makes sense.
      The paint does not automatically come off.. If you hit the silencer at some places during your ride then yes the paint will come out.. you can always purchase a paint bottle and fix it.
      Rust issues, yes..if you don't have a covered parking -- then yes.. the mud, dust and rain will cause rusting issues, after all it's metal.
      However, in my humble opinion none of these matter to me as long as the machine does what I expect it to do..and that is to ride without breaking. I don't care about these petty issues..because the engine and performance is too good. Stallion has never disappointed me.. it is too reliable to even consider anything else..
      Recently I did a 5400+km ride.. trust me I didn't have to invest a single Rupee on the machine except for fuel..

      Here is my answer. I love long rides because I enjoy the process of riding. I feel the happiest when I'm on a motorcycle.
      The leg position on highness is definitely more suited for long rides than the RS - however, I feel more connected with the ride on the RS.
      Also, I'm 178cms tall without riding boots.

    Can i buy it as my first bike? I mainly have ridden a scooter for 3 years. I did learn to ride a bike 3 years ago but i dont think i remember it properly. Is it a good beginner bike for a lean guy of 55kgs?

      Yes, the CB350 RS can be your first bike. As you know how to balance on two wheels, it should not be a challenge. The weight distribution is quite nice and you don't feel the weight of the machine when it's in motion.
      You have to be over 5'8, else you'll not be able to plant both feet on the ground.
      Take a test ride, baba.. you'll know instantly.

    I used to ride pulsar but need a different ride with road presence and feel good experience.
    Purchased CB350RS after watching your vlogs .i have completed 1000km in a month and im very much statisfied with bike .
    Only con is suspension is kind of stiff in it..i have visited bigwing for same but they said its good ..they have given me test ride of another 350RS but Suspension was same means hard.
    What about your ?any suggestions.

      Yes, please. I agree, the suspension is on the stiffer side, however, will you believe me if I tell you that during my first service I asked my mechanic to make the suspension 1 level stiffer. I believe the stiffer the better.. it has many advantages, like better handling, better control, better high speed stability, better cornering abilities, the ground clearance will not bottom out, etcetera.
      In my opinion, the suspension feels stiff only till speeds of 30-40kmph.. at higher speeds the suspension set-up is super nice. It literally glides over undulations and potholes at a moderate to high speed.
      May be, you can ask your mechanic to soften the suspension by 1 level if you ride at a moderate pace.. however, I wouldn't recommend that.
      I feel that in some time you'll get more used to the suspension set up - trust me it has been a life saviour for me on multiple corners 😇

      1. On my first service _suspension level 1_done.
      2. I do ride in moderate speed upto 60 km/hr. in city only.
      3.stiff suspension really supports in corning and give confidence.
      I was going to write mail regarding suspension set-up but now i think its not meant for smooth ride in city means ..potholes or speed breaker environment..will try to adapt with my black bird(cb350 rs) suspension set-up with more rides alongside.
      I was thinking suspension setup was stiff only in my bike but listening to you..now im relieved 😌

      @@mightywanderboy Cheers to Black Bird, baba. I'm positive that you'll get acclimatized and fall in love with the machine even more every day.
      You may consider trying to soften the suspension by 1 level, it hardly takes a minute to do that. Also, please watch the mechanic while doing that..and learn..it's a simple thing and needs zero equipments :)
      Try riding around with a softer suspension for a few weeks and see if that helps. Else you can always go back to the stock setting.
      I'm also assuming that you don't carry a lot of weight on you ;) so suspension will feel even more stiffer.

    I just got this beauty a month back and I must admit it is worth every penny🤍 Let it be the performance,the comfort level, the exhaust note, the mileage (range), that 15L tank is a saviour, I covered 200 kms early morning with a full tank, still half a tank remained which is just phenomenonal for me 😬

      I like stiff suspension. The stiffer the better. Stiff suspensions are a blessing for high speed stability, making high speed turns, etcetera.
      During my second service, I got the suspension set up 1 level stiffer but got back to default stock settings during 3rd service, at low speeds you may feel the suspension is stiff but at speeds over 50kmph, the motorcycle glides over most potholes.

      Both have the same engine, baba - the difference is the riding experience. With RS you get a more involved ride, you feel more connected to the machine and the road, you’ll be able to ride spiritedly on it. The Highness offers a more relaxed ride.

      I don't experience any distracting vibrations at any speed. I feel you should not even think about vibrations, there is no other motorcycle in this category that offers more refinement..and hence I think one should be happy with the smoothness than complain about absolutely minor vibrations here and there. It's like is there any other motorcycle in this category that is more refined, you tell me?
      Also, if you watch the video, you'll know exactly which gear to use at what speeds and maximum speed per gear.

      Hello, Ankush. It depends on multiple factors. Traffic, number of stop and go, acceleration intensity, weight (solo or with pillion), hot or cold weather, and much more.
      If you are not a rash rider, you will easily extract 32kmpl+ if your ride between 30-70kmph in the city in mixed conditions, overall.

      Rs. 6467 precisely. I had to get the Chain-set and the front break pads replaced during the service.

      @@Beast.Branded.24 The oil change itself will cost you over Rs. 1500. A usual service without any replacement parts will cost you between Rs 2500-3000. The Labor charge is a little on the higher side.
      It is extremely easy to maintain and absolutely reliable- You only have to visit the service centre when a service is due.
      The chain-set had to be replaced due to normal wear and tear. I know a lot of users who had to replace their chain-set in under 10,000 kms, mine got replaced at over 22500kms. Depends on how you maintain it.

      Speed 400 felt like an insane amount of torque, the bike isn't that enjoyable in the city as it feels too powerful and torquey personally. But the cb 350 RS was in control and I actually enjoyed it..

    Guys, please suggest good long lasting disk pads, chain sprocket for honda cb350. Hereafter i do not want to visit bigwing service center. I have found local mechanic. The service fees seems to be higher side.

      Hello to you. What a nice question, baba. Honestly, I wouldn't know, I am not an expert. However, In my opinion, a slim/skinny beginner who has spent multiple years of their childhood on a bicycle should be able to manage riding the CB350 RS. While it will feel heavy at times, their previous experience lays a good foundation for handling it. With practice, the body and the mind get used to the weight.

      @@pgunknown In my experience, if you maintain the correct tyre pressure and ride with both hands on the handlebar, you will not experience any wobbling issues.

      31.8k km so far.
      Engine performance has been consistent since I got it. If you are looking for a fast motorcycle, this is not the one. You could easily cruise at 100-110 kmph without a vibration though.

      Both motorcycles have the same engine. The difference would be, the rider triangle. Highness offers a relaxed riding posture. RS offers a slightly enhanced riding experience. Also, in my opinion the RS looks heavier than the Highness in appearance.
      Take a test ride, please. You'll know instantly when you sit on the saddle and hold the handlebars.

    Bro,2 months back i bought the highness.first service is done.am not getting the speed which you are mentioning.first gear around 20,second 40 and 3rd 70,4th 100 and top speed achieved is 110 at 5th.
    Engine is getting stressed out at high revvs.minor vibrations are also felt in the handle bar and footpeg.

      Thank you for sharing, however that's quite strange. For a fact I rarely use the 5th gear, if I'm using the 5th gear I'm always at a speed of above 110/120kmph..
      Are you getting only a speed of 20 and 40 respectively on 1st and 2nd gear? That's too low.
      You know, in my case honestly sharing, during the engine breaking I used to try variable throttle inputs, and used to do quick bursts of 100kmph as well and let the throttle go (engine braking) for maximum smoothening of engine and gear parts ( I watched some western RUclips videos on engine braking and tried to follow the same)
      To this date I have not had vibration issues.
      I am not sure if this would work but when I ride a Honda and it vibrates - I ride it even harder and somehow in some time the vibrations fade..
      You might want to try this, try riding up to a speed of 40kmph in the first gear, ignore the vibrations and let the throttle go, once the engine braking makes the motorcycle come to a speed of 10kmph, again accelerate to 40kmph and let the throttle go, try that 5-6 times on 1st gear, then do a 40kmph on 1st gear and use the second gear to pull it all the way to 65-70kmph(ignore the vibrations) and let the throttle go(engine braking).. Do this 5-6 times. Similarly, repeat the process on every gear, reach the max speed on every gear and let the throttle go - you will need to patiently do this, best time would be morning or late night on an empty stretch of road ( I somehow feel that this should solve your problem)
      Just sharing my thoughts, baba...Totally personal.

      Yes, please. The gear ratios are similar.
      In city traffic, I usually use the 2nd gear only, it can easily manage speeds of 0kmph-60kmph.

    Break pad change that too rear one after 12k kms but

    How did it perform in high altitude i mean was there loss of power or any thing of that sort. Starting problems in cold mornings.

      Hello there, Vikrant.
      Never had any loss of power, the gearing is different, you have to keep the engine on the right rev range. If you use the 1st gear till a speed of 30 in high altitude, and 2nd gear till a speed of 60..I promise you'll not feel any lack of power, the motorcycle just pulls.
      One press on the start button and it goes boom, ever since day 1. It works in all weather conditions- cold, snow, even when it continuously stands in the rain for days at length.
      Honestly, I never experienced a single mechanical issue with the motorcycle.

      @@vikrantkaundal9148 Yes, please. Honda did an ECU update some time after the launch and that was fixed.
      A suggestion, please. If you use the engine kill switch, then be mindful to allow it 3-5 seconds before pressing the start button. As the kill/start button is integrated a lot of times people press them both together without allowing the pause- this is a major cause of loss of power in high altitude. Just sharing.

      This is an interesting question. You will miss out on the riding stance of the RS ( it's not sporty, yet sporty) - RS offers more connect with the machine, better handling, cornering and the rear set foot-pegs inspire confidence on twisties.
      Plus, the RS has a fresh look ( I honestly love how the RS looks in person).
      You'll miss out on the huge tyres that grip the road so well..
      Both are in essence the same machine - the riding dynamics make all the difference for me.
      Take a test ride, baba.. you'll know instantly what you like.
