I may not always agree with you but I do appreciate the effort and your experiences along with expertise that you bring. You’ve brought me stuff that I didn’t know existed, the hitch with the air suspension.
I’ve wanted to mention something to you after my wife got injured. Why do we have 3 balls sizes? I wasn’t home one day and my wife tried to hitch up our small utility trailer (2” ball) to spread mulch and unaware, she used my 2-5/16 ball hitch to try and move it. She didn’t realize the difference and thought she was fine until she tried to move the trailer with our garden tractor and it came off the hitch obviously and the trailer started rolling down a hill towards the house. In a panic she tried to stop the trailer and got pinned between a large bush and the trailer. Although she got a very large cut across her knee she was lucky it didn’t cut any legitimates because it was so deep. Now to most people that tow a lot, we are aware of these sizes difference’s, but to someone like my wife, they’re not. I can see a lot for potential safety concerns because of this so why not just implement 1 size for all?
Like your channel, very informative. Now only one comment about the tool cost to tighten that shank nut, a HF $22 dollar 36 inch pipe wrench will snug that puppy up just right.. just sayin'.
Just an engineer's thoughts: If your in an area where you develop rust on your hitch shanks, after a few months good luck on separating the parts. The iron rust particles will magnetize and "glue" it together where you will not get it apart.
B&W Tow & Stow is the only way to go. You left out the best Curt adjustable hitch style, they have a solid shank wdh style that comes in a 20,000 lb 2 5/16 version with a rubber stopper to prevent rattling. The nice thing about the Curt is you can buy the ball separate & mout it directly to a wdh shank. I have both of these hitches, B&W is very nice hitch, made in the US & my favorite.

Great video JD man. Thank you for sharing. I'm looking forward to seeing the reducer videos.
It takes some balls to lay it all out on a table like that
Lol 🤣
Great video. I've purchased several items from etrailer over the past few years, and I love etrailer's customer service!

I have about every hitch available. Some are honestly just slight changes from another brand. B&W is great, but it also has challenges.
Should have told me you were in town.
Does etrailer deliver to canada?

A pipe wrench and a cheater pipe does the trick.
