    Thanks for this videos, excellent content! I'm heading straight to the shed to do this mod! I also really liked your tutorial on making the stand adjustable, another project for later this week. Safe riding!!

    I have that same bottle. I bought one of the holsters that's available for them and have it strapped to the frame on my Crf300l.

    Would the 110mm version fit the CRF300L if I'm willing to do away with the helmet lock?
    BTW, there is a fourth screw holding the tool box on. It's behind the tool box lock pointing up. Yours may have fallen out.
    The stock tool box is terrible and the helmet lock is also terrible, my helmet lock never did work. It's coming off.

      I picked this size and made it fit. I imagine you could do the same with that size. You just have to make it fit. It may be worth looking into the new larger gas tank that just recently came out

      I got the 110mm version today. It will fit fine and it costs the same as the 80mm. I do all ready have the Acerbis 3.5 gallon tank (why did Honda screw us on the tank?) so, I'll probably use this container for other purposes. Thanks for the video!

    So dont you fear braking your rear plastic housing will break when falling onto the left side having the tube being pushed inwards?

      So far I haven’t broken anything and I have dropped more than once.

    Not trying to be rude, but if you added a larger tank and windscreen why didn't you get a Rally to begin with?

    • @jaminadventures51
      @jaminadventures51  2 года назад +5

      Hey! Thanks for checking out my channel! Well, I really like the look of the 300L better than the Rally and the price was better. In watching reviews, the Rally is geared a little more towards road riding and the 300L towards dirt, and I wanted a little more for dirt riding. I enjoy making mods to the 300L So far I haven’t had to use the extra fuel so I may end up using this for tools.

      @@pammac3208 Curious, you say 30oz fuel can, which is 3.5", and small (80mm) tool tube is barely 3.2". Am I missing something?

    i can't make my mind up on what i want to get a crf300 or the xr650
    this bike will be my commuter originally i was looking at this bike but after watching a few videos realized it might not be the best for me since im 6/4 240# 🤷
    thats a very good idea that your doing if you ask me thats plenty of fuel to get you out of a jam!

    • @jaminadventures51
      @jaminadventures51  2 года назад +1

      That was my thinking with the bonus fuel canister.
      I’m 5’11 about 210-220. I don’t like riding it on the highway with this bike but I just did a trip to see my parents. It was 100 miles round trip non highway and I was getting about 74 mpg. Can’t beat that right now. I plan to do a lot more off road riding with mine than commuting so that may make the difference too.
      Thanks for watching! Have fun riding and sty safe!

      I wouldn't even mess around, 450 ALL THE WAY . Power is unmatched,off road capability unmatched... handling unmatched...it's a far more capable machine...

      @@LA_Commander agreed.... there's no replacement for displacement, the 300 had me wanting more power in about a day... but the 450??? Was like night and day, and it's MUCH lighter than the 650
