Hey Steve. I've always loved Steelbooks but I was over the hassle of them a few years ago. Lionsgate ruined that by turning out some of the best we'd seen in years. I'm not sure what I'll be getting in the future; most likely only what I can grab on Orbit or Diabolik, which is fine. I'm glad you got the Maltese Falcon one. Such a great movie and awesome Steelbook. I've been running a beat up DVD of The Wicker Man into the ground for years. The Bestbuy steelbook is easily my favorite non Criterion piece of physical media.

There's a boxset on Orbit with the same transfer and they still have the Studio Canal Steelbook available if you can't find the Best Buy one. I have this rule which I try not to break and that is: Only get steelbooks for films that you absolutely love. To be honest, it’s not looking good because I still get tons of the very good looking ones. Amazing ranking, The Wicker Man is my favourite of 2023 hands down. I loooooove this channel so much. Great steelbook of Young Guns. I have the blu-rays, but especially Young Guns 2 wasn't very cheap. It also seems Emilio Estevez is going to direct a third Young Guns movie. The Wicker Man steelbooks are just great! Everything Everywhere All At Once was such a weird movie, but awesome steelbook artwork. It Came From Outer Space, beautiful steelbook! Still haven't seen this classic movie.
Hi friend. I bet the Young Guns 2 Steelbook was costly. I've seen some people share it and it looks really nice. I didn't know Emilio Estevez was going to be directing a 3rd but it should be fun. I love The Wicker Man and it was tough to pick one so why not share both, right? EEAAO was one that's an acquired taste, I know that for sure. It took me two watches to fissure it out and connect with it. The Nova Steelbook set is great and when I saw that I wouldn't have to import it, I jumped at it. If you like older sci-fi, I think you'd really like It Came From Outer Space. The 4K is stunning, if you're into 4K. Either way, it's worth a watch if you like the genre. The main supplier has stopped selling media so I'm down to what distributors are able to get and mail out. It's fine though, as long as I can get the movies, I'm happy. Hey friend. When I say collectible, I mean more from the perspective of being more interesting for collectors to pick up. I've never thought of my physical media collection in terms of holding value, if that's what you mean. Actually, it's a pretty bad investment when you think about it. 😂😂😂 I rarely see any physical media that holds monetary value, besides the people who scalp collectors online but that's different. The "value" for me is having the movies I love on the physical format and nice extras just add to that. That's really what I meant by the comment, so I hope that makes more sense.
