Thank you dearly Proffesor Dave I have suffered severe congestion(pain sometimes nose basically nonfunctional) for most of my life. These drugs I felt were a blessing, one of the most amazing modern inventions in my opinion, but I had no idea how they worked and feel blessed to have now had a chance to learn!
I have always wondered how this drugs are discovered, I mean how someone found that some molecule has an effect, and then how the effect works. I love these pharma videos, very interesting.
@@ProfessorDaveExplains it's not related to this video, but can you tell me how do you judge a research journal/paper is? What is the difference between peer reviewed ones and those who are not, and how can I, as a single individual figure out which research is backed by strong evidences.
Hey Dave my question doesn't have anything to do with the video but I'm sorta in a weird place rn and am wondering if free will exists. What makes people do what they do and why do we like and dislike the things we do? Isn't it fair to say that whether you believe we were created by God or Nature that our design wasn't our own and we'd have no choice but to act the way God or nature intended?
The recent reports that over-the-counter decongestants are completely useless are false. Phenylephrine HCl definitely CAN help dry out a runny nose. I've tried different things for this and found phenylephrine consistently effective. There is probably a large conflict of interest involved in the recent studies.
hey professor i was watching your video about the electric universe debunking and i though of a question for you "What would happen if you put to magnets of the same mass that repel each other and out put the same gravitational and magnetic forces in space where there is no other gravity arround them. Would they just stand there paralel to each other or something else would happen?" sorry for my bad english its not my main languagge
hey prof dave would digging Sweden to South Africa on the right downward trajectory (missing the centre completely) say a 6inch hole be possible? (theoretically obviously) weakening a huge chunk of the earth is generally just a bad idea..

This is the best timing. Im sick rn so this vid really helps!!
There is also rebound congestion from nasal decongestants like afrin, which can make them addictive.
Funny how I found this video while sick. This is something I've wondered about for a while.
I've found that the best exercise for reducing congestion for myself anyway have been burpies.
