Need to hear the album version!
Love the cult since 1984
Agree with what Brad has said here. The only thing I would add is that the sad melody and the negative connotations of rainy weather might imply that although he wants/needs a relationship with the woman, he anticipates that it may be a bitter/sweet affair ...
Darn you missed the original.
This version is 20 years after it came out done live with spotty sound.
I’m not a fan of this unplugged version.
Im not sure why you are listening to this version. You shouldve listened to the official video. Way better imo.
Yeah i have to agree, the original rocks, saw them live so many time in the 80's
Interesting. Hard to see what the drummer is doing, but he's doing something. Too bad the bass player didn't embrace the acoustic set up and attempt to play the song with an upright. They might have had to folksy it up a bit to pull it off but that woulda been cool too. Yeah, if you haven't heard the studio version, check it out a.s.a.p.
To everyone commenting about this version. I believe this is from the "acoustic themed" live stream. So that is why he's reacting to this version.
Love was a generational album for the 1980s
