@@lukej452 the typical place that people go with stolen money these days are the Caymans, whose national charter specifically says that they will not turn over bank data to foreign powers. For example, us, asking where the hell the money for the CGI went.

2 years later but yes I loved how halo 4 had that mechanical sound at the end. It almost sounds like a printer.
This serie's scenes must be an inspiration for future infinite campaign dlcs
So minigun dont work when humans use it but works fine when a *major* character uses it probably gonna see this alot

At first I thought it was a clip with unfinished effects and that the show was going to be released later this year. How disapointed I was when I saw that the episode is already out and that these are the real CGI.
At 0:20 the way chief jumps looks like a cartoon, doesn't really make him look like he weighs the correct 1000kg. Also no halo turret has ever had a round 6 barrel design, always 1 or 3 barrels in a triangle. This is especially wack because instead of going the cheap route and using existing mini gun designs and props they could've been accurate and just used a bigger gatling gun like the GAU 19 which is real and conveniently bears a striking resemblance to the halo .50 cal turret. As in the GAU 19 looks like a GE engineer looked at the warthog turret and thought "thatd look badass ontop of an MRAP" and then built it.
I get going away from the source material and honestly its a good idea imo. I think most of the halo source material is very repetitive (campaigns have a common layout of missions that don't lend themselves to drama when they're in a tv show format) so choosing to imagine new storylines is great. But please god just know what you're talking about first and then rewrite the story and character lore to better suite the format.

Watch the minute 0:47, when he fires the turret to the elites while listening to Terminator 2 Judgement day-Trust me part of the soundtrack since it fits incredibly with this scene, I always thought myself of hearing that theme every time I pick up a turret-like that since Halo 3. And the the gun that chief was using looks like an ma5b chrono blaster but the ammo goes on the back of the gun like in the game instead of a regular normal rifle gun

As soon as the chief touches that turret he would have a crosshair on his heads up display so why he hits the dirt with a dozen rounds I'll never know.

Maybe most of the budget went into the licencing fees.
I thought my standards were too high but looking at the comments reassured me that the CGI, although not terrible, definitively isn't passable for something official. ESPECIALLY compared to the animation of Blur studio (halo 2 anniversary & Halo Wars) or some of the live actions game trailers.

The elites look OK I guess but I think they were trying to go for the particle effects like the original starwars trilogy but it kinda reminds me of power rangers.
Lol at 0:18 when chief jumps on the van or whatever he’s on and there’s literally no impact. He jumped and nothing shakes making the scene entirely weightless. What they could’ve done is had up close camera shake as chief was running, then zoom out and shake the camera when chief is supposed to land on the van. Instead it’s literally a static shot with no depth to it. The cinematographers really did some lazy work on this show haha.

They did say that this is a CMA machine gun turret. Aka an Insurrection machine gun. So it makes sense it would be different from the UNSC tri barreled 50 cal gun

Why is his movement, even midair, so fast? The man is in a giant metal suit, but they have him moving like a frog and this is upsetting to me.

These movie guys can never aim, man! C'mon, person running on top a thin border rail. Easy target. Chief gets a machine gun and shoots the floor first. Camera has to pan and cut everywhere for whatever reason and it takes ten whole seconds to wipe out three enemies. Do the directors and producers ever watch their own crap and think "eh, we can do much better than this/this doesn't make any sense/our bad guys aren't very threatening and the whole spiel feels like cheap spectacle with no substance. Let's scrap the scene!"

Shittier CGI than I would have imagined. Chief's leap looked too clunky for 2005, much less 2022. What a disappointment. When you watch an episode of Boba Fett or Mando, you can see that everyone involved in making the show is giving the best they've got as a labor of love. You can see it. This? This crap does not tell the same story about its creators.
